IMPORTANT INFORMATION Fiji Government Marriage Requirements It is important to note that the couple will need an original or certified copy of their respective birth certificates, thier passports and if previously married, either a Decree Nisi or a death certificate is required. Confirmatory letter on current status to be obtained from the Marriage Registry where the applicant resides or statutory declaration signed by a Justice of Peace or Notary Public or Solicitor to prove that he/she has not entered into a marriage before (this declaration applies to first orsecond marriage). Please note that special conditions apply to certain Nationals and details are outlined in a separate Wedding Package document. Couples under 21 years of age are required to produce a consent document signed by a parent. We strongly recommend that these guidelines are set by the Fiji Government, the wholesaler does need to double check all requirements. Tourism Fiji should also be used as a point of reference on pre wedding requirements too. The resort is not liable for any incorrect information in relation to proposed marriages in Fiji. Marriage under Fijian Law involves two parts: The Registration: The resort will require completed application of special license form, certified copies of birth certificate and passport documents of both the parties sent through one month prior to the wedding date. This will be processed on behalf of the wedding couple by our weddings team prior to their arrival. It is important to note that the bride and groom will also need to present a Statutory Declaration (Single status) certificate if either or both parties were previously married together with a copy of their divorce papers. The Ceremony: A religious ceremony to be held within the grounds of the resort (including the beach) or in the Bure Ni Loloma Chapel. Wedding Availability: Weddings dates are not confirmed until deposit is received. Weddings are not available 24, 25, 26, 30 and 31 December or 1 January. Please ask for full terms and conditions.
