There were many international companies displaying their the very latest brands in beauty products, from the leading cosmetics & beauty products manufacturer countries.

Italy supported by Region Emilia Romagna, UNIPRO and PROMOS - the Special Agency for International Activities of the Chamber of Commerce of Milan, brings 39 Italian cosmetic companies that had an opportunity to meet and introduce products to visitors and exhibitors from all parts of the world. Worldwide known American Brands for hair care and accessories like Global Keratin, well – known French cosmetic companies and exhibitors from Brazil, Mexico, Malaysia and Japan attracted thousands of visitors during three days in Istanbul. 2

HAIR AND COIFFEUR SHOWS Hair stylists from Turkey and abroad – professional and amateur competitors performed at BeautyEurasia trade show. This 3 day’s long event realized with the support and the coordination of Istanbul Women and Men’s Hairdressers Associations caught the visitor’s eyes at first sight. Professional stylists like; Adem Terzi, Arca Acar, Buket Erisik, Damla Ari, Rifat Yilmaz, Istanbul Women’s Hairdressers and Manicurists Association and Men’s Hairdresser Artisan Craftsmen Association, Bursa, Izmir, Manisa and Tekirdag Hairdressers Association showed their talent to the world. Italian Hairdressers Federation and Italian company Vitality’s team presented by 1995 cut world champion Pierre Chavat performed in a high standard. The press members also showed a great interest to hairdressing and hair shows.

BEAUTYEURASIA 2011 EXHIBITOR COMMENTS Coswell - Italy: “We are manufacturing toiletry products as well as cosmetic products. Our main objective was to keep entering the Turkish market and Middle East area and to retail our toiletry and cosmetic products in these regions. Turkey is potential country as well as neighbour countries. Our target groups were visitors from 3

Turkey, Turkish distributors and CIS countries; mainly Georgia, Armenia, Kazakhstan also Iran and North Africa.” Tradimpex - Brazil: “We came from Brazil with 5 different brands. My name is Edward Thompson and I am the managing director of Tradimpex. We’ve got many customers interested in our products. The visitor profile here at the fair is really good as most of them are buyers. We are really satisfied as we have reached our target. We will exhibit next year again at this fair.” Moheb – Iran: “We are producer of plastic tubes in Iran. We participate because we want to penetrate to Turkish market and also to East and European market. We know that the key to penetrate to Eastern and European market is Turkey - place where we can use the logistics and all business relations. I think next year it will be usefull for us to exhibit at BeautyEurasia. It was very successful exhibition.” Kardesler Ucan Yaglar (Fresh’n Soft) – Turkey: “The reason of our participation at the exhibition is to see our current distributors and of course to find a new ones in the countries where we still could not penetrate. I can see very intensive participation here especially from Middle East, North Africa and Balkan countries. We are very satisfied, so we consider to participate at BeautyEurasia next year.” DL Cosmetic Global Keratin – Turkey: “We participate at BeautyEurasia trade show to represent American Global Keratin products in Turkey. We are very pleased of being here, because there are so many visitors and exhibitors from all parts of the world. During three days we had an opportunity to introduce our products. Everything was beautiful. There were so many people looking for franchising in Turkey. I saw so many visitors who are our target groups from Arab and Turkish republic countries. So I can say we have successfully reached our target.” Kontensan - Turkey: “We are manufacture of metal packaging products. We produce fancy fantasy boxes which are used in cosmetic industry. Our goal is to reach cosmetic companies and we have already reached most of them. The visitor profile of BeautyEurasia is very rich. The fair was presented very good better than many other fairs I have ever seen. We are going to participate next year again.” Alpaya Cosmetics - Turkey: “We participated at BeautyEurasia to meet new buyers, to expand our export market and of course to meet our current clients. BeautyEurasia fair was very well organized and advertised. I saw many visitors from the Middle East. We definitely will participate next year again.”

This year BeautyEurasia carried out a large and intensive visitor promotion campaign with various activities all over the world, especially in Turkey and Eurasian Region to meet with the exhibitors’ expectations. 7th International Cosmetics, Beauty and Coiffeur Fair BeautyEurasia 2011 hosted 22.465 professional visitors including 3.101 foreign visitors from 93 countries who were keen to find out about the latest trends from huge range of possibilities. The visitor profile was shaped from a huge region of Eurasia consisting Iran, Russia, Iraq, Bulgaria, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Greece, Syria, Ukraine, Serbia, UAE, Romania, Bosnia, Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Italy, France and Germany which proves that BeautyEurasia has become not only the leading cosmetics and beauty event in Eurasian Region also one of the most distinguished cosmetics exhibitions in the world. In addition to the individual visitors coming from 93 countries, visitor groups which were organized by local travel agencies, associations, chamber of commerce & industries and exhibition organizers presented at BeautyEurasia 2011. As exciting examples to the qualified visitor groups were from Bulgaria including the major importers of the country came along with BNAEOPC - Bulgarian National Perfumery and Cosmetics Association, V.Korekt Touroperator and Valenta Agency; members of Suleymaniye Chamber of Commerce, Erbil Chamber of Commerce from Iraq; Nadir Travel, Haqiqat parvaz Travel Agency from Iran; Aleksandar Travel Agency - Macedonia, Expotajik in Tajikistan and ExpoCentralasia in Kazakhstan. 5

International hosted-buyers from Central Asian Region which were announced as “Target Markets” were hosted 84 company members from 51 countries: Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Canada, Singapore, Azerbaijan, Albania, Morocco, Macedonia, Kazakhstan, Jordan, Israel, Turkmenistan, Georgia and Tajikistan within the framework of “Hosted Buyers Programme”. In addition to foreign visitors there were professional visitor groups from different cities of Turkey; Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Kocaeli, Edirne, Afyon, Bursa, Tekirdag, Konya, Antalya, Adana, Eskisehir, Sakarya, Gaziantep, Diyarbakir and Kirklareli, supported by institutions, governmental organizations, hairdressers associations, Chamber of Commerces and industries. Hairdressers Associations groups from cities like: Adapazari, Biga, Bursa, Canakkale, Corum, Isparta, Izmir, Kutahya, Kesan, Salihli, Duzce, Kocaeli, Antalya, Gebze, Mersin and Can also visited the trade show.

Double Horse Flavor and Fragrance (DHF) – Lebanon: “I am a business consultant working for a chemical company and I study the beauty market, all new products, new companies and create new ideas at BeautyEurasia. It is very big exhibition, there are so many people and stands. The visitor profile is at a high standard.” Orhidea Cosmetique – Kosovo: “I think Turkey is very attractive country in terms of trade. There are a big range of products at BeautyEurasia and it is a very good opportunity for the countries gained independence, like my country Kosovo. Our sole effort is to reach more cosmetic manufacturer companies and establish new business contacts. I will visit BeautyEurasia next year again. Everything was perfect.” Farouk Jabshed Sons Co. - Jordan: “This is my first time at BeautyEurasia. I can say that I am really impressed from the fair because there are so many good companies here. I am actually interested in personal care products such as wet wipes, gels, face and skin creams. Definitely there are potential companies for me. I think that I will visit the fair again next year. Thank you for the organization!” Bio -Tech Medical - Kuwait: “The last few years the quality of Turkish products has risen. I own a company and we used to buy products from USA, Canada and Europe, but in the last 10 years the quality of the products in Turkey has increased, so now I started to get products from Turkey. In fact I came to finalize an agreement with a company which is our the second Turkish business partner and we are proud that we have already made this agreements.” Cesa Cosmetic - Turkey: “We are supplier of beauty care products and equipments to all beauty and hair salons based in Ankara. I can say on our clients behalf that we are responsible to know all new products of the cosmetic industry, that’s why I am here. We saw a few noteworthy items, we had meetings with companies providing these products and took some samples. We think to participate as an exhibitor rather than as visitors.” Prostor National Drogerie Chain - Ukraine: “The main reason to visit BeautyEurasia is to start cooperation with international companies, especially companies with private label production.

Our chain stores

management in Ukraine has plans for developing and growing, so we plan private label production in different categories. We know that Turkish companies are really specialized in private label production like decorative cosmetics, skin care groups, shampoo and shower gels. We really hope to find companies and we will continue our cooperation. I can say that we are really satisfied from the result of our visit to this exhibition. We saw so many big manufactures and we made really fruitful discussions and negotiations with them. We will visit Turkey again to sign the final agreement.”

Koz - Med Pazarlama - Turkey: “We have warehouse for cosmetics and parfumery based in Izmir. We have visited the fair in order to become aware of the new products and innovations in the business. I am very glad, I have already established great contacts with some cosmetic companies. Importers, exporters, manufacturers, wholesalers and groups from hair salons - you can find visitors from all walks of life.”
