Canopy Zipline + Rappel + Villa Maleku

One of the main attractions in Fortuna is to take a Canopy Tour. You will enjoy different platforms where you can see the impressive Canyon of the Arenal River and the extraordinary flora and fauna of the rain forest. You will have the opportunity to see the three kinds of monkeys that live in this zone, toucans, hummingbird and sloths. Fly high over the canopy of the rain forest and feel what adrenaline means for nature lovers. Safety by professional guides to take you into the jungle. After the zip line a 45 meters rappel will be waiting for you. After the adventure you will have a cultural experience learning about the Maleku people's traditional use of medicinal plants, and pick up a few Maleku words. Paint jicaras and masks with traditional Maleku designs. Swim in the amazing Arenal waters.

Hanging Bridges + Safari Float Penas Blancas

You will start with an amazing hike at the Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges Park. The bridges and trails are located in the rainforest near the majestic Arenal Volcano. All of the 15 bridges vary in height and length and provide an interesting way to observe the rainforest canopy. Then you will go on the Safari Float on the Rio Penas Blancas which is a great tour for observing wildlife in the Arenal Volcano area. Often referred to as the Monkey Tour, this tour is perfect for anybody in search of exotic animals.

Tubing Adventure + LA Fortuna Waterfall Hike

This Adventure starts at the Lake Arenal dam and then continues east until it mixes with other rivers in the San Carlos countryside. It quietly passes through a gorgeous canyon behind many of the resorts outside of La Fortuna. Many tourists do not even realize it is there. The canyon is surrounded by lush jungle and there is actually a lot of wildlife down there. If you can look up from the fun while you are tubing you will see a magical world around you! The hike down to the waterfall requires descending down several hundred steps of varying heights. Remember that what goes down must come back up and there is no elevator! Those that make the hike down will be rewarded with a hike through the jungle. While it is not a wildlife hike, animals such as toucans, sloths, howler monkeys and mot-mots frequent this area. Volcano Hike & Hot Springs

Until recent years, Arenal Volcano was one of the most active volcanoes in the world! On this fun filled tour we will venture to one of the reserves at the base of the volcano to learn all about the fascinating history of the volcano and surrounding jungle Included: Guided and cold drinks Recommendations: Insect repellent, binoculars, camera, sturdy shoes, and rain gear. Tour times: 7:45am, 3:30pm Rate: $55 USD, including taxes no hidden fees. You can combine this activity with a visit to Tabacon or Baldi Hot Springs. Tabacon Hot Springs: Tabacon is by far the most recognized hot springs in Costa Rica. The hot springs are located within the resort property and fed by the Tabacon River at the base of Arenal Volcano. While the resort does receive a lot of day and night pass visitors, there are many private and secluded sections that provide a natural jungle back drop. Alternatively, there are common hot spring pool areas near the restaurant and wet bar. Tabacon does sell out frequently, so advance reservations are highly recommended. You can add it for additional $75 USD including buffet dinner. Baldi Hot Springs: Baldi Hot Springs is the most commercialized of the hot springs in la Fortuna. It is conveniently located to town and offers a reasonable entrance fee. There are 25 different pools of varying sizes and temperatures. They also have a hotel on the property. You can add it for additional $45 USD including buffet dinner.
