THE ROOF CLIMB
Prepare yourself for an unforgettable tour high up on the roof of Munich’s Olympic Stadium. All you’ll need is a bit of courage, since you’ll be getting ropes and karabiners from us. Climb to dizzying heights in a small group. You’ll be up there for 120 exhilarating minutes, and we promise you won’t forget a single one of them. Fabulous views: our tour guides will explain at close hand the architecture and construction of the world-famous Olympic Stadium. Enjoy an elevated view of Munich’s skyline including the landmark towers of the Frauenkirche, and – especially if the weather is good – take in the stunning views over the ceaseless foothills of the Bavarian Alps, all the way to Germany’s highest peak, the Zugspitze.
THE ROOF CLIMB IN THE DARK
What the romantics enjoy in the summer is now also possible in the winter. It is just that the tour is conducted not only at sunset but when it is actually dark. A tour over the tent roof at sunset and in darkness with the only source of light being a head torch or perhaps the moon as well…
Dusk has a special charm and this is particularly the case on the tent roof of the Olympic stadium: the calm, the light and the metropolis… The tour guides of the Olympic park are of course there and have plenty to tell you of interest regarding the 40 years of the park (and much more). In all other respects, the tour is conducted in much the same way as it is in the daylight. Fitted and equipped as if embarking on an expedition, the tour goes along the world-famous tent roof up to a pylon. It is truly a memorable night out and you will experience a breath-taking panoramic view and fascinating architecture.
THE ROOF CLIMB WITH ABSEILING
This time the view is vertically downwards, 40 metres down from the edge of the roof into the depths of the Olympic Stadium arena. This is something you will only ever witness on the Abseiling. Like for the Roof Climb, you’ll kit up at Base Camp. Check your equipment! Then the ascent begins up the North Slope and along the world-famous acrylic glass plates, culminating in the final assault on the summit at a height of 50 metres, where a pylon takes the place of a mountain peak. From there you will experience a view that’s simply breathtaking. And to crown it all – a direct descent, Abseiling a drop of more than 40 metres. A truly spectacular expedition!
THE ROOF CLIMB WITH FLYING FOX
A height of 35 meters, a rope with a length of over 200 meters, you and the moment. After taking a tour on the roof of the Olympic Stadium, you fly 200 meters across the whole stadium with our zipline. Enjoy the spectacular view before happiness and adrenaline unite. Jump over your own shadow and fly from the roof of the Olympic Stadium!
STADIUM TOUR INCL. OLYMPIC LOBBY
A must for all sports fans, this Stadium Tour leads through the Olympic Stadium’s VIP and team areas, scenes of great sporting events such as the Soccer World Cup and Olympic Games. Take a look behind the scenes into the VIP lounges and VIP guest area, and into the former changing rooms of Franz Beckenbauer’s world-beating 1974 team. FC Bayern Munich also celebrated its greatest victories here, and TSV 1860 Munich played here until 2005 too. Look out over the spacious arena from the VIP stand and revel in the atmosphere of a stadium where countless rock stars have also performed. Afterwards, descend to the arena itself for some goal board shooting. A football-soaked atmosphere right there on the historic turf.
ADVENTURE TOUR
Our blue and white park railway takes you to the Olympic stadium where your exciting tour behind the scenes in the Olympic Park begins. Move around in the high-security VIP section where usually only prominent guests get together. Admire the VIP lounge and the honoured guest section from close up and take a look at the former changing rooms and shower rooms of football stars of the FC Bayern München and TSV 1860 München football clubs. Feel the impressive atmosphere of the gigantic stadium from the "red carpet" on the VIP rostrum. Then put your feet in the arena of the Olympic stadium and you may even be able to score a number of goals at our goal wall. And the cheering will be all yours. The adventure tour then takes your to the Olympic hall where you will learn about the stars and events. Finally, you will go to the Olympic swimming centre and take a look at the unique architecture of this building.
ARCHITEC-TOUR
Visit the Munich Olympic Park´s world famous architecture, accompanied by one of our experienced guides. We will show you the history of the construction of the tent roof – which is classified as a historical monument – from the development of the original model to ist eventual completion.
