NEW FRONTIERS OF PRIORITY SETTING

FERENCE 1

Our conferences inform delegates with results of research into practice and encourage practitioners to learn about different approaches to priority setting. This includes drawing on the experience of those involved in priority setting or those affected by it.

NN I A L CON

The theme for Priorities 2016 is ‘New frontiers of priority setting’. The focus will be on challenges posed by a climate of austerity, and new ways of meeting these challenges through research, policy and practice. Plenary speakers will be drawn from the international priority setting research community, national and international policy and advisory bodies and national and local policy decision makers and other stakeholders. Approximately 250–350 attendees will present and discuss research on themes relevant to contemporary health and social care systems.

G

S ATE

The Priorities society was established in 1996 for the purpose of strengthening the theory and practice of priority setting in health care. The biennial conferences provide a forum in which researchers, practitioners and others involved in priority setting can come together to exchange ideas and experience.
