Student Program Sponsorship Opportunities The Virginia Tech Alumni Association (VTAA) supports students through student programming and our student organizations. VTAA advises both the Class Officers and the Student Alumni Associates who coordinate and implement programming to keep the Hokie Nation connected and promote the spirit and traditions of Virginia Tech. The Alumni Association manages many student activities each year, including Virginia Tech’s Grad Bash, the premiere graduation event, and campus-wide events such as Hokie Spirit Rallies, which attracts students, alumni, and Hokie football fans. 2014 Fall Reunions and Homecomings

Every year, nearly 3,000 alumni attend class reunions, college and constituency homecomings, and other events. Alumni return to campus to celebrate, reminisce about their time at Virginia Tech, and reconnect with old friends. Class reunions from the 20th to the 50th anniversaries are held at five-year intervals. A typical reunion includes a Friday evening meal, a Saturday morning brunch and pre-game festivities. Seeing the Hokies play in Lane Stadium is a treat for all reunion participants. Group seating at Tech’s sold-out stadium is available for reunion registrants.

VTAA Hokie Classic Golf Tournament June 16, 2014

The Hokie Classic is a great opportunity to join fellow alumni of all skill levels for a captain’s choice golf tournament at the Pete Dye River Course. Dye’s signature bunkers, small elevated greens and collection points are evident throughout each round. Beer Festival at Virginia Tech June 27-28, 2014

Hosted by the Virginia Tech Alumni Association, the beer festival will feature breweries from around the region. Enjoy over 40 different beers poured by craft brewers and beer experts. Enjoy BBQ, live music, and tailgating games. Friday night Preston’s offers a specially designed dinner paired with craft beer. Young Alumni Regional Mixers To better engage young alumni, the Virginia Tech Alumni Association (VTAA) has created a national program called Virginia Tech Young Alumni Mixers. These mixers have proven to be an excellent way for young alumni to connect with each other, the local alumni chapter, and representatives from the university, as well as network with sponsoring businesses. In many instances, this is the first connection made between alumni and the university since graduation. VTAA has held mixers in many different regions of the Hokie Nation from Miami to Boston to Atlanta to New York with great success. Our largest concentration of alumni resides in the Northern Virginia/DC metro area and we host two Young Alumni (YA) mixers in this region each year. The National Capital Region mixers typically have upwards of 200 young alumni in attendance. Attendance at each mixer is dependent on the population of young alumni in an area. This program provides an excellent opportunity for companies to network with a talented group of young Hokies.

Student Programs Sponsorship Package The Virginia Tech Alumni Association (VTAA) supports students through student programming and our student organizations. VTAA advises both the Class Officers and the Student Alumni Associates who produce and implement programming to keep the Hokie Nation connected and promote the spirit and traditions of Virginia Tech.
