V. Santhi has received her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from VIT University, Vellore, India. She has pursued her M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from Pondicherry University, Puducherry. She has received her B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Bharathidasan University, Trichy, India. Currently she is working as Associate Professor in the School of Computing Science and Engineering, VIT University, Vellore, India. She has authored many national and international journal papers. She is currently in the process of editing two books. Also, she has published many chapters in different books published by International publishers. She is senior member of IEEE and she is holding membership in many professional bodies like CSI, ISTE, IACSIT, IEEE and IAENG. Her areas of research include Image Processing, Digital Signal Processing, Digital Watermarking, Data Compression and Computational Intelligence. D. P. Acharjya received his PhD in computer science from Berhampur University, India. He has been awarded with Gold Medal in M. Sc. from NIT, Rourkela. Currently he is working as a Professor in the School of Computing Science and Engineering, VIT University, Vellore, India. He has authored many national and international journal papers, book chapters, and five books to his credit. Additionally he has edited four books to his credit. He is reviewer of many international journals such as Fuzzy Sets and Systems, Knowledge Based Systems, and Applied Soft Computing. He has been awarded with Gold Medal from NIT, Rourkela; Eminent Academician Award from Khallikote Sanskrutika Parisad, Berhampur, Odisha; and Outstanding Educator and Scholar Award from National Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development, Coimbatore. Dr. Acharjya is actively associated with many professional bodies like CSI, ISTE, IMS, AMTI, ISIAM, OITS, IACSIT, CSTA, IEEE and IAENG. He was founder secretary of OITS Rourkela chapter. His current research interests include rough sets, formal concept analysis, knowledge representation, data mining, granular computing, bio-inspired computing, and business intelligence. M. Ezhilarasan was born on May 30, 1968. He has obtained Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering, Master of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering and Ph. D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Pondicherry University in 1990, 1996 and 2007 respectively. He is a Professor of the Department of Information Technology, Pondicherry Engineering College, Puducherry, India. He is a life member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). He has published 60 papers in National and International Conference Proceedings and Journals. His research interests include Multimedia Data Compression and Multi-Biometrics. ***

Mongi A. Abidi directs activities in the Imaging, Robotics, and Intelligent Systems (IRIS) Laboratory. Dr. Abidi has been conducting research in the field of three-dimensional imaging, specifically in the areas of scene building, scene description, and data visualization. Dr. Abidi is also involved in the areas of robotic multi-sensing, landmark tracking and sensor calibration, data fusion and probabilistic reasoning, and enhancement of medical images. Since joining UTK as a faculty member in 1986, Dr. Abidi has acted as either principal investigator or co-principal investigator for research contracts totaling more $30 million. He published more than 320 papers. He co-authored or co-edited a total of 4 books. Dr. Abidi has been active with many multi-institution programs. The first program is the 3D Imaging and Data Fusion for Robotic Manipulation and Inspection, part of the DOE’s multi-university Research Program in Robotics. The second program is the 3D Imaging and Data Fusion for Automotive Simulation and Design, part of a multi-university program with the U.S. Army TACOM. The third program involves two projects, Gate-to-Gate Automated Video Tracking and Location and Operator Assisted Threat Assessment for Carry-on Luggage Inspection, both with National Safe Skies. He also performed work or US Air Force, Office of Naval Research, NASA, and NSF. In addition to his research duties, Dr. Abidi teaches senior and graduate courses at UTK in the fields of pattern recognition, image processing, computer vision, and robotics. He has developed three courses in image processing and robotics. He has also taught industrial courses in the areas of mathematical transforms for engineers, data fusion, fuzzy logic, and neural networks. Dr. Abidi is a member of Tau Beta Pi, Phi Kappa Phi, Eta Kappa Nu, and the Order of the Engineer. He received the First State Award in primary graduation, the First State Award in secondary graduation, and the First Presidential Principal Engineer Award. He holds memberships in the IEEE Computer Society, IEEE Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, Pattern Recognition Society, Association of Computing Machinery, and the International Society of Optical Engineering. Dr. Abidi is the recipient of the following awards: 2002-2003 Dun & Bradstreet Who’s Who in Executives and Business, 2002 United Who’s Who in Empowering Executives and Professionals, 2002 Marquis Who’s Who in America, Strathmore’s Lifetime Who’s Who Award, 2001-2003 Philips Professorship Award, 2001 Science Alliance Faculty Award, 2001 Brooks Distinguished Professor Award, 1999-2001 Weston Fulton Professorship, 1997-2000 Magnavox Professorship, and 1995 and 2010. Aruna received her B.E. from Madras University, M.Tech from IIT Delhi and the Ph.D degree from Annamalai University. Presently she is working as a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Annamalai University. She has published thirty five research papers in International journals and seven research papers in national journals. She has published twenty four research papers in International conferences and seventeen research papers in national conferences. She has twenty two years of teaching experience and thirteen years of research experience. Her area of specialization includes Neural networks & Fuzzy systems, Data Mining and Image processing. J. Arunnehru is a senior research scholar at the Speech and Vision Lab in Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Annamalai University. Manami Barthakur is PhD Scholar in the the department of electronics and communication engineering. She received her M.Sc. degree in Electronics and Communication Technology from Gauhati University in 2009. She had completed M.Tech. in Bio-electronics from Tezpur University in 2011. Her area of interests are computer vision and Image processing. R. Bhavani received her B.E degree in Computer Science and Engineering in the year 1989 and the M.E Degree in Computer Science and Engineering in the year 1992 from Regional Engineering College, Trichy. She received her Ph.D degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Annamalai University, Chidambaram, in the year 2007. She worked in Mookambigai College of Engineering, Keeranur from 1990 to 1994, and she is now working as Professor in Annamalai University. She has published more than 75 papers in international conferences and journals. Her research interest includes image processing, image segmentation, image compression, image classification, steganography, pattern classification, medical imaging, content-based image retrieval and software metrics. C. Bhuvaneswari received her Bachelor degree from Madras University, Post graduate from Bharathidasan University and Masters of Philosophy from Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai. At present she is pursuing Ph.D at Annamalai University,Chidambaram. She has nine years of teaching experience and 6 years of research experience. Her main research areas include image processing and data mining. She has published ten research papers in international journals and six papers in international conferences and ten papers in national conferences. Chung-Hao Chen received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in August 2009, and his B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science and Information Engineering from Fu-Jen Catholic University, Taiwan in 1997 and 1999, respectively. After receiving his M.S. degree, he was enlisted in National Military Academy from 1999 to 2001 to fulfill his civil duty/military service. In April 2001, he joined the Panasonic Taiwan Laboratory Company, Ltd. as a research and development engineer where he remained until August 2003. In August 2009, he joined in the department of Math and Computer Science at North Carolina Central University as an assistant professor. Since August 2011, he is an assistant professor in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Old Dominion University. His research interests include robotics, automated surveillance systems, pattern recognition, image processing, artificial intelligent systems, and data analysis and mining. Jacob D’Avy is an Image Processing Engineer at SolVIS, Inc. His work involves applying multispectral imaging, laser technology, and photogrammetry to solve industrial automation problems. Amlan Jyoti Das received B.Tech. degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Girijananda Chowdhury Institute of Management and Technology, Guwahati in 2011 and M.Tech degree in Electronics and Communication Technology from Gauhati University, Guwahati in 2013. Currently, he is pursuing Ph. D. in the Dept. of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Gauhati University. A. Geetha obtained her under graduate degree in computer science and engineering from the Periyar Maniammai University, Thanjavur in 1994 and her post graduate degree in computer science from National Institute of Technology, Trichy in 1997. She completed her Ph.D in computer science and engineering from Annamalai University in 2014. She started her services at Annamalai University in the year 1991 as a faculty member and is presently serving as associate professor in the Department of computer science and engineering. She has published 18 papers in national and international conferences and journals. She is a member of ISTE, CSI and IE technical bodies. Her areas of interest are image processing and parallel processing. M. Kalaiselvi Geetha received her Ph. D in computer science and engineering from Annamalai University, India; M. Tech degree in computer technology from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi; and B.E in computer science and engineering from Bharathiar University, India. Currently she is working as Associate Professor in department of computer science and engineering, Annamalai University, Chidambaram, India. She has authored more than 40 research papers in national and international journals and conferences. Currently, she is working on UGC sanctioned research project on video surveillance. Nidhi Goel graduated in Physics from University of Delhi in 2006, received MCA degree from GGS Indraprastha University, Delhi in 2009 and is currently pursuing Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Department of Computer Science, University of Delhi. She was lecturer in Delhi Institute of Advanced studies, GGS Indraprastha University. Wei-Wen Hsu received his master degree from National Taiwan University, and now he engages a Ph.D. program in Old Dominion University. Shanmuga Sundari Ilangovan completed Bachelor of Technology, Biotechnology from PSR Engineering College, affiliated to Anna University in 2010 and Master of Technology, Biotechnology from Udaya School of Engineering, affiliated to Anna University in 2012. Li-Wei Kang received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from National Chung Cheng University, Chiayi, Taiwan, in 1997, 1999, and 2005, respectively. Since February 2013, he has been with the Graduate School of Engineering Science and Technology-Doctoral Program, and the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, Yunlin, Taiwan, as an Assistant Professor. Before that, he worked for the Institute of Information Science, Academia Sinica (IIS/AS), Taipei, Taiwan, as an Assistant Research Scholar during 2010–2013, and as a postdoctoral research fellow during 2005–2010. His research interests include multimedia content analysis and multimedia communications. Dr. Kang has served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Gate to Multimedia Processing (Science Gate Publishing) and a Guest Editor of the International Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks. He serves as the Demo/Exhibition Co-Chair of the IEEE ICCE-TW 2015. He received a top 10% Paper Award from the IEEE MMSP 2013. Andreas Koschan received his M.Sc. (Diplom) in Computer Science in 1985 and a Ph.D. (Dr.-Ing.) in Computer Engineering in 1991, both from the Technical University Berlin, Germany. In 2000, he joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where he is a Professor of Practice. His interests include computer vision, three-dimensional imaging, color image processing, and robotics. He has published over 50 papers in these areas. He co-authored two textbooks on Three-dimensional Computer Vision, one textbook on Color Image Processing, and one text book on safety and security applications of computer vision. Dr. Koschan is or has been a member in professional societies including IEEE, Computer Society, ASEE, IS&T, and SPIE. Chih-Yang Lin received the B.S. degree in computer science and information engineering from Tung-Hai University, Taichung, in 1998, the master degree in information management from National Chi-Nan University, Nantou, in 2000. In 2006, he received a Ph.D. degree from Dept. Computer Science and Information Engineering at National Chung-Cheng University, Chiayi. After graduated, he servered in Advanced Technology Center of Industrial Technology Research Institute of Taiwan (ITRI) from 2007 to 2009. Then, he joined the Institute of Information Science (IIS), Academia Sinica, as a postdoctoral fellow. Rai was Professor in Department of Mathematical Sciences, IIT- BHU, Varanasi, India. He had completed his M.Sc. in Mathematics and Ph.D. in mathematics both from Banaras Hindu University. Bibhudatta Sahoo is Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, NIT Rourkela, India. He has been awarded two government of India research grants and associated with several R & D projects sponsored from government of India. Navajit Saikia is presently an assistant professor in the Department of Electronics and telecommunication Engineering, Assam Engineering College, India. His research interests include image processing, speech processing, computer vision, application of signal processing techniques, reversible logic circuit, etc. He has co-authored several research papers in journals and conference proceedings. Kandarpa Kumar Sarma, currently Associate Professor in Department of Electronics and Communication Technology, Gauhati University, Guwahati, Assam, India, has over seventeen years of professional experience. He has covered all areas of UG/PG level electronics courses including soft computing, mobile communication, digital signal and image processing. He obtained M.Tech degree in Signal Processing from Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati in 2005 and subsequently completed PhD programme in the area of Soft-Computational Application in Mobile Communication. Shampa Sen had completed Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, India in 1998, Master of Technology in Biotechnology from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India in 2003 and Doctor of Philosophy in Environment from Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, India in 2010. Dr. Sen has teaching cum research experience since 1998 and presently working as Associate Professor in the School of Bio Sciences and Technology, VIT University, Vellore, India. She has 14 publications cited 151 times totally to her credit. At present, PI research works are focused on metallic nanoparticles synthesis, with specific reference to silver and magnetic nanoparticles, their environmental and medical applications. Piyush Kumar Singh has completed his master degree in computer applications from RSMT, varanasi affiliated with GBTU, Lucknow, India. He is currently doing Ph.D. at DST-Centre for Interdisciplinary Mathematical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. His area of interest is wavelet transform and its application in image processing algorithms, wavelet packets and its application in image processing and parallel algorithms. R. S. Singh has academic qualification M.Tech. and Ph.D. He is Assistant Professor in Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT-BHU, Varanasi, India. His area of interest is Data Structures, Algorithms and High Performance Computing, Parallel Algorithms, Image Processing and cloud computing. Currently four Ph.D. research scholars are under his guidance. He has also played major role in his institution’s academic and administrative works. L. R. Sudha received her B.E degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Madras University, Chennai, India in 1991, and M.E & Ph.D degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from Annamalai University, Chidambaram, India in 2007 and 2014 respectively. She is currently working as Assistant Professor in Annamalai University. Farzin Yaghmaee received his PhD in 2010 and MSc in 2002 both in Artificial Intelligence from Sharif University of Technology, Iran and received BSc from AmirKabir University of Technology. He is now a faculty member of Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of Semnan University. His research interests are: image and video processing, text mining and Persian language processing tools. Chia-Hung Yeh (M’03-SM’12) received his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan, in 1997 and 2002, respectively, both from the Department of Electrical Engineering. Dr. Yeh joined the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU) as an assistant professor in 2007 and became an associate professor in 2010. In Feb. 2013, Dr. Yeh is promoted to a full professor. Dr. Yeh’s research interests include multimedia communication, multimedia database management, and image/audio/video signal processing. He served on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Visual Communication and Image Representation, and the EURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing. In addition, he has rich experience in organizing various conferences serving as keynote speaker, session chair, and technical program committee and program committee member for international/domestic conferences. Dr. Yeh has co-authored more than 150 technical international conferences and journal papers and holds 42 patents in the U.S., Taiwan, and China. He received the 2007 Young Researcher Award of NSYSU, the 2011 Distinguished Young Engineer Award from the Chinese Institute of Electrical Engineering, the 2013 Distinguished Young Researcher Award of NSYSU, the 2013 IEEE MMSP Top 10% Paper Award, and the 2014 IEEE GCCE Outstanding Poster Award. Chia-Mu Yu received his Ph.D. degree from the Computer Science Group, Department of Electrical Engineering, National Taiwan University, in 2012. He was a research assistant at the Institute of Information Science, Academia Sinica, from 2005 to 2010, a visiting scholar at Harvard University from September 2010 to September 2011, a visiting scholar at Imperial College London from January 2012 to September 2012, and a postdoc researcher at IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center from October 2012 to July 2013. He is currently an assistant professor in Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Yuan Ze University. Since 2014 he has served as an associate editor for IEEE Access, Security and Communication Networks, and Gate to Multimedia Processing. His research interests include cloud storage security, sensor network security, and smart grid security.
