About the Contributors

Zeynep Copur, Ph.D. is a Professor in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at the Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey. Currently, she serves Associate Dean Position at same faculty. She had been a visiting scholar in the Department of Family, Youth and Community Sciences and the Department of Sociology and Criminology & Law at the University of Florida. Her research and teaching specialties include family resource management, family economics, consumer economics, family financial management, family relations, and family issues. As a visiting scholar at the University of Florida, she had been actively working on several research projects with Dr. Michael S. Gutter and Dr. Tanya Koropeckyj-Cox, includes a co-authored publication on the financial management practices of college students, using data drawn from college students in the United States and comparing Turkish and American university students’ attitudes and preferences regarding gender, childbearing, and family issues. She also worked as a co-investigator on a funded extension project at the University of Florida on the Economic Impact of Earned Income Tax Credit in Florida, funded by Real Sense Prosperity Campaign, SPA agreement. She has published in a variety of social science journals, including Journal of Family Issues, Journal of Comparative Family Studies, Family and Consumer Sciences Research Journal, Social Behavior and Personality: An International Journal, The Indian Journal of Social Work, Journal of Family and Economic Issues. Some of her works title are; Perception of the Adequacy of Resources with a Turkish Sample, Social Learning Opportunities and the Financial Behaviors of College Students, Exploring the Relationship between Financial Behaviors and Financial Well-Being of College Students. *** Yaşar Akdağ received his master’s degree in Institute of Social Sciences from the University of Pamukkale in 2012. In 2010 he was hired as Research Assistant by the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at the University of Hakkari and is currently conducting his PhD in Institue of Social Sciences at the University of Marmara. His research focuses on issues of Public Financing on Renewable Energy, Green Economy and Health Economics (2014, Hakkari). Veli Akel is an Associate Professor of Finance at Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in Erciyes University, Kayseri, Turkey. Assoc. Prof. Akel teaches Capital Markets, International Finance, Portfolio Management, Corporate Finance and related courses. He received the B.S. degree in Business Administration, Erciyes University, 1998, M.S. degree in Finance, Anadolu University, 2001, and PhD degree in Finance, Erciyes University, 2006. His main research areas focus on financial contagion, neural networks, institutional investor and capital markets.

Nuray Akpolat graduated from Nevsehir Ataturk Vocational School of Health, Department of Nursing in 1997. She also graduated from Anadolu University, Faculty of Economics, Department of Public Administration in 2009. She received her master’s degree from Ankara University (Turkey), Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Social Work in 2014. She has been working as school nurse in Nevşehir. Aybala Demirci Aksoy graduated from the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, Hacettepe University in 1999 and started to do her master’s at the Educational Sciences Institute of Gazi University, Home Economics and Nutrition Education in the same year. Accomplishing her education, she got a master degree, and she started to do her PhD at the Department Home Economics and Nutrition Education in the same year DEMİRCİ AKSOY, completing her thesis titled “Consumer Education Model via Internet”, is proficient in English. She became assistant professor in 2009 and associate professor in 2013. She has various publications in the realm of consumer education, consumer behavior, consumer protection, consumer rights, and disabled consumer groups. Korhan Arun received a BA in mathematics from Hacettepe University (Turkey) and an M.B.A in Total Quality Management from Dokuz Eylul University in 2003 and a Ph.D. in Organization and Management from Ataturk University (Turkey) in 2008. He is an assistant Professor of Organization and Management at the University at Namik Kemal University (Tekirdag/Turkey). His current research and teaching interests include: leadership, power and influence, organization and management development. Dr. Arun worked at the government agencies for 15 years. Also, he had an advisor position for NATO (KFOR/ Kosovo Force) in 2012. He has been involved in several projects to improve leadership in the Turkish Army. Sinan Ataer, graduated from the Department of Public Finance in Istanbul University at 2010. He is now MS student of two different program in Social Sciences Institute of Istanbul University. Both of them predicted to be end at the year of 2014. He is a research assistant at Public Finance Department since 2011. Now he is assisting the Public Debts, Public Finance classes in the Faculty of Economy, Istanbul University. His MS subject is about railway investments and infrastructure investments in Turkey. Ayfer Aydıner Boylu received her MS and PhD in Family and Consumer Sciences from the Hacettepe University Ankara in 2001/2007. In 2012 she was hired as Associate Professor and is currently the vice chair for the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences of the Hacettepe University. She writes and presents widely on issues of family quality of life, family crisis, economical activities of families, financial distress, and she had been actively working on several research projects. Some of her published articles are; the impact of the economic crisis on lifestyles of families, an examination of factors affecting economic status and finances satisfaction of families, an assessment of economic costs and contributions of children to the family, investigating the effect of working wives on family expenditure, analyses of debt related behaviors of families, and examination of socio-economic variables having effect on functions of single parent families.

Hakan Cavlak is an assistant professor of international relations at Namık Kemal University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Tekirdağ-Turkey. Dr. Cavlak has BAs in International Relations at Istanbul University (2000). He received PhD in EU Politics and International Relations with his thesis entitled as “Europeanization of Environmental Policy in Turkey”. European Policies, Integration Theories, Enlargement of the EU, EU – Turkey Relations are his main research areas. He is the editor in chief of Balkan Journal of Social Sciences (BJSS). Neslihan Cavlak is a lecturer of tourism and marketing at Namık Kemal University, Malkara School of Higher Education, Tekirdağ-Turkey. Cavlak has BA in Tourism and Hotel Management at Bilkent University (1999). She is a PhD candidate in Business Administration. Marketing, tourism, tourism management, tourism marketing, are her main research areas. Seher Cesur-Kılıçaslan received her Ph.D. in 2006 from Hacettepe University. She also received her M.Sc. (2001), and B.Sc. (1997) from Hacettepe University. Dr. Cesur-Kılıçaslan is head of department of Social Work at Istanbul Arel University. Her areas of expertise include: immigrant families, refugee families, refugee women, immigration and emigration, family structure, gender studies, honor killings, poverty and consumption. She has published in a variety of social science journals, including The International Journal of the Humanities, Ethnologia Balkanica, International Journal of Arts & Sciences and The International Journal of Interdisciplinary Cultural Studies. Some of her works’ titles are: “The Family Structure of the Bulgarian Immigrants and the Local Residents Living in Inegöl Region,” “The Problems of Refugee Women,” “The Effects of Immigration and Emigration on the Family Structure in Turkey” and “Families Immigrating from Bulgaria to Turkey since 1878.” Murat Cetin is an Associate Professor of Economic Development at Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in Namik Kemal University, Tekirdag, Turkey. Assoc. Prof. Cetin teaches Economic Growth and Development, Macroeconomics, Monetary Policy related courses. He received the B.S. degree in Economics Karadeniz Teknik University, 1994, M.S. degree in Economics, Karadeniz Teknik University, 1996, and PhD degree in Economics Karadeniz Teknik University, 2000. His main research areas focus on growth economics, energy economics, time-series and panel data analyses. Hasan Dinçer is an associate professor of finance at Istanbul Medipol University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Istanbul- Turkey. Dr. Dinçer has BAs in Financial Markets and Investment Management at Marmara University. He received PhD in Finance and Banking with his thesis entitled as “The Effect of Changes on the Competitive Strategies of New Service Development in the Banking Sector”. He has a work experience in Finance sector as portfolio specialist and his major academic studies focusing on financial instruments, performance evaluation, and economics. He is the executive editor of International Journal of Finance and Banking Studies (IJFBS) and the founder member of the Society for the Study of Business and Finance (SSBF). Eyyup Ecevit is an Assistant Professor of Economic Development at Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in Erciyes University, Kayseri, Turkey. Assistant Prof. Ecevit teaches Macroeconomics, Microeconomics courses. He received the B.S. degree in Economics, Erciyes University, 1999; M.S. degree in Economics, Niğde University, 2002 and PhD degree in Economics Erciyes University, 2007. Sibel Erkal is a Professor at the Hacettepe University, Family and Consumer Sciences Department. Her BS (1992) and her PhD (1997) is in Family and Consumer Sciences from the Hacettepe University. She teaches in the undergraduate and graduate programs in the areas of Family and Consumer Sciences. Dr. Erkal’s research interests include Hygiene in home and institutions, home accidents, housing and health, housekeeping. She has published in a variety of social science journals. She worked as a Visiting Associate Professor at Minnesota University, School of Public Health, Department of Environmental Health Sciences on 9th August-19th December 2006. John E. Grable, holds an Athletic Association Endowed Professorship at the University of Georgia. Dr. Grable served as the founding editor for the Journal of Personal Finance and the co-editor of the Journal of Financial Therapy. His research interests include financial risk-tolerance assessment, financial planning help-seeking behavior, and psychophysiological economics. Dr. Grable received his Ph.D. degree from Virginia Tech. Sevilay Gumus has double BS in Economics and International Relations from Gazi University (Ankara,TURKEY). She received her MS in Finance from the Drexel University LeBow College of Business in 2010 and in the same year she was hired as a Research and Teaching Assistant at Usak University. She was transferred to Hacettepe University in 2011.She is currently studying two doctoral program simultaneously at Hacettepe University Public Finbance Department and Police Academy International Security. “A Comparison of European Union and Turkey Concerning Social Parafiscal Burden between 1995 and 2008” and “Analysis of Protective Economic Policies and Trade Defense Measures in Market Economy” are some of her works. Recently she won the best presentation award with “Socio-demographic and Socio-economic Profiles of Satisfaction with Local Public Services in Turkey: An Analysis on Turkey between 2004 and 2012” in Singapore. Gülay Günay received her MS in Family and Consumers Sciences from the University of Hacettepe University in 1992. She was a Research Assistant of Family and Consumer Sciences at Hacettepe University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (1996 – 2006). She works in Karabuk University as an As Prof. (2009 - 2012). Now she is working as Associated Prof. (since 2012). She writes and presents widely on issues of preretirement planning, post retirement life, consumer problems, consumer behavior, consumer education, ageing and family. She has published in a variety of social science journals. She is married and has two children. Davuthan Günaydin is an Assistant Professor of Labor Economics at Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in Namık Kemal University, Tekirdag, Turkey. Assist. Prof. GÜNAYDIN teaches Social Policy, Sociology of Work and regional development related courses. He received the B.S. degree in Economics Anadolu University, 2003, M.S. degree in Operations research, Marmara University, 2006, and PhD degree in Labor Economics Marmara University, 2011. His main research areas focus on health policies regional development policies and social policies. Abdulhamid Mauyag Gunda, was born in Philippine. He completed undergraduate degree from Nursing High School in Philippine. He earned his bachelor’s degree in nursing from the Mindanao State University in 2010 and has passed the Nursing Licensure Examinations given by the Philippine’s Professional Regulation Commission in the same year. Department of Health in 2011. He has lived in Turkey for about three years as a Turkish Government’s scholar for master’s degree in health management. He is a post graduate student at Health Care Management, Institute of Social Sciences, Namık Kemal University, Tekirdag-Turkey. He continues to writing his thesis on Philippine Health Care System in Namık Kemal University. His main research fields focus on health care management, health care systems, Philippine health care system, health care system analyses, health care economics and Philippine economy. Burcu Bozkurt Hacioglu, following her graduate study of Business and Economics at Bilgi University, has pursued her educational life as a postgraduate student of Management and Organization at Kadir Has University. She has teaching experience as a lecturer of Business, Marketing and Logistics between 2004 and 2011 at Beykent University. Ümit Hacıoğlu is an associate professor of finance at Istanbul Medipol University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Istanbul-Turkey. Dr. Hacıoğlu has BAs in Business Administration and International Relations (2002). He received PhD in Finance and Banking with his thesis entitled as “Effects of Conflict on Equity Performance”. Finance and Banking, Strategic Management and International Political economy are the main pillars of his interdisciplinary studies. He is the executive editor of International Journal of Research in Business and Social Science (IJRBS) and the founder member of the Society for the Study of Business and Finance (SSBF). Wookjae Heo is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Financial Planning, Housing, and Consumer Economics at the University of Georgia. Prior to enrolling the University of Georgia, he worked for a marketing consulting firm as a Strategic Marketing Planner and Consumer Research Specialist in Korea. Before working at the consulting firm, he received a Masters of Arts Degree in Consumer Sciences from Seoul National University, South Korea. His main research interest is broadly about consumer welfare including financial stress on consumer behavior, demand of life insurance, and marketing impact on financial behaviors. In terms of financial planning, his research interest is to explore financial stress on financial planning and to find proper education for financial planning. Abdülkadir Işık was born in 1972 Ahlat-Bitlis/ Turkey. He is a professor at Namık Kemal University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Tekirdag-Turkey. He completed undergraduate degree from Anadolu University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Public Finance. He completed master’s degree (MA) in Public Finance at Marmara University and he holds a Ph.D in Public Finance from Marmara University. He was a visiting researcher at Sussex University/ UK, and a post doctoral researcher at New York State University/ USA. His main research fields focus on public finance, public sector economics, taxation and health care economics. Hayriye Işik, was born in Karacabey Bursa/Turkey. She completed undergraduate degree from Anadolu University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Public Finance. She completed master’s degree (MA) in public finance and she holds a Ph.D in Public Finance from Celal Bayar University. Her main research fields focus on tax law, Turkish tax system, health and education spending, and public finance. She works as the faculty members at Namik Kemal University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Public Finance.

Toprak Işık (Erdal Kılıçaslan): Toprak Işık was born in 1973 in Elazığ in Eastern Turkey. His childhood and youth were spent in Inegöl in Western Turkey. After he studied electric engineering in Bilkent University, he moved to New York and lived there for two years. In 2008 he settled in Istanbul and since then he does “just a bit of engineering” and mostly devoting himself to writing. He has seven published fiction books for children and five books for adults. Three of his plays are in the Repertory of Turkish State Theatre. Beside fiction writing, he also academically interested in the areas of women, gender studies, family structure, honor killings, poverty and consumption. Serkan Yılmaz Kandır is an Associate Professor of Finance at Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in Çukurova University, Adana, Turkey. Assoc. Prof. Kandır teaches Capital Markets, Portfolio Management, Behavioral Finance, Corporate Finance and similar courses in finance. He received the B.S. degree in Business Administration, Çukurova University, 1999; M.S. degree in Finance, Çukurova University, 2001; PhD degree in Finance, Çukurova University, 2006. His main research areas focus on behavioral finance, event study and capital markets. Sujata Kapoor has been working as faculty in the area of Finance with reputed business schools for around 10 years. She is an MBA (Finance) and has earned her B.Com (Hons) degree from Delhi University. She completed her PhD in the area of Corporate Finance in the year 2010. She also holds certification in financial markets. Currently, she works as an Assistant Professor in Jaypee Business School Noida, a premier B school and is also serving as an Area chair (Finance). Kijpokin Kasemsap received his BEng degree in Mechanical Engineering from King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, his MBA degree from Ramkhamhaeng University, and his DBA degree in Human Resource Management from Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. He is a Special Lecturer at Faculty of Management Sciences, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University based in Bangkok, Thailand. He is a Member of International Association of Engineers (IAENG), International Association of Engineers and Scientists (IAEST), International Economics Development and Research Center (IEDRC), International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology (IACSIT), International Foundation for Research and Development (IFRD), and International Innovative Scientific and Research Organization (IISRO). He also serves on the International Advisory Committee (IAC) for International Association of Academicians and Researchers (INAAR). He has numerous original research articles in top international journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters on business management, human resource management, and knowledge management published internationally. Jorge Ruiz-Menjivar is a doctoral student and research assistant in the department of Financial Planning, Housing and Consumer Economics at the University of Georgia. His research interests include financial risk-tolerance measurement, personal and family finance, and international and Latin American economics. Mr. Ruiz-Menjivar holds a Master’s Degree in Personal and Family Financial Planning from the University of Florida.

Vuyisani Moss is an experienced and trained development economist with a Masters’ Degree in Policy and Development Economics (cum-laude); a PhD degree-Engineering (property finance) thesis‘measuring the correlation between the lack of borrower education and the risk of mortgage default in low income homeowners in South Africa’. Has fifteen years of housing finance work experience and operational research both retail and wholesale. Dr Moss worked for the National Housing Finance Corporation and as a Consultant for the UN- Habitat based in Nairobi. He is currently a Director of Planning and Strategy at the National Department of Human Settlements in SA and gives occasional lectures on micro-credit, development finance and property finance at Wits University. Ahmet Oğuz received his MS in Economics from Dumlupınar University in 1999. He was a Research Assistant of Economics at Dumlupınar University Institute of Social Sciences (1999 – 2002) and Dokuz Eylul University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (2002 – 2010). Now he is working in Karabuk University as an As Prof. (since 2010). He writes and presents widely on issues of international economics, economic policy, development and growth analysis, economics and strategic planning. He has published in a variety of social science journals. He is married and has a child. Aydın Özdemir is a marketing professional at Turkish Airlines, Istanbul, Turkey. He has BA at Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey and MBA at Polytechnic University on Marketing Management and Business Administration at Beykent University. He has work experience in Airline Marketing and Flight Training. He has studies focusing on airline marketing and specifically on pricing strategies. Gamze Özel received her PhD., Master of Science in 2009, and Bachelor of Science in 2005 from Department of Statistics, Hacettepe University. Her research interests include stochastic processes, risk management, probability theory, survival analysis, and applied statistics. She is an associate professor in the Department of Statistics at Hacettepe University. Emine Özmete is professor at Ankara University, at the Department of Social Work. She is the head of the Center on Aging Studies Implementation and Research at Ankara University. She is conducting her studies about quality of life, well-being, social capital, life skill education, financial behavior- financial planning and resource management in the family. Prof. Dr. Emine Ozmete received her MS in Family and Consumer Sciences from the University of Ankara in 1997 about quality of life and values. In 2002 she received her doctorate degree fromthe University of Ankara. She visited to USA Iowa State University, Department of Family Studies and Human Development as scholar. She carried out her studies about financial behavior there in 2008. Jaya M. Prosad is a resident of NOIDA, U.P., India. She is a graduate from Delhi University (Year 2009) and completed her MBA degree in finance from Jaypee Institute of Information and Technology University, NOIDA (Year 2011). Her major area of interest is behavioral finance. She is currently working as a PhD. Scholar with Jaypee Business School, NOIDA. She has publications in various national and international journals in the area of behavioral finance. She has also presented papers in reputed conferences like India Finance Conference by IIM A, B, C. Mohamad Fazli Sabri is the Head Department (Senior Lecture) at the Department of Resource Management and Consumer Studies, Faculty of Human Ecology, University Putra Malaysia. He was graduated with Master of Science (Consumer Science) from University Putra Malaysia and holds a Doctorate in the field of Consumer Finance from Iowa State University, USA. He is actively engaged in research in the field of consumer finance and financial education from childhood through to the elderly. He has presented papers at national and international level. Moreover, he also participated as a speaker and trainer, and related consumer financial education. He is also the one of the executive council Consumer and Family Economics Association Malaysia (MACFEA) for the session 2012-2014. In addition, he is also a member (board members) in research and education committee, Malaysian Financial Planning Council. Currently, he is Editor- in-Chief of the Journal of Wealth Management & Financial Planning and engaged in “research working group committee” in Child & Youth Finance International. Shalini Kalra Sahi is an Assistant Professor in the area of Finance at Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, India. She received her Masters in Business Economics (MBE) and M.Phil. (Business Economics), both from University of Delhi, New Delhi, India. She is also a Fellow(FPM-doctoral programme) of Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon, India. She has around 7 years of teaching experience and has published a number of articles in the area of Behavioural Finance and Investor Psychology. Hande Sahin, PhD is an Assoc. Prof. in the Department of Social Work at the Kırıkkale University in Kırıkkale, Turkey. He received the B.S. degree in Economics Marmara University, 1997, M.S. degree in Economics, Marmara University, 2001, and PhD degree in Economics Erciyes University, 2007. Jhumur Sengupta is a PhD in Political Economy from University of Calcutta, is an Assistant Professor at Dinabandhu Andrews College, Calcutta University. West Bengal, India. when she was a MS student. In 2007, she was awarded young researcher prize. She became an associate professor at 2011 in Econometrics. The areas which are she is interested in and tutoring are theoretical and applied econometrics and panel data econometrics. She has had numerous articles and she is the author of seven books two of which have been published in expanded second editions. Her latest two books are Panel Data Econometrics and Advanced Panel Data Analysis. Zeynep Tezel, graduated from Gazi University of Industrial Arts Education Faculty. In 1993 she was hired as the Assistant Professor by the Family and Consumer Sciences Education Department at the Gazi University. She is currently as Assoc. Prof. Dr. for Social Services Department in Health Sciences Faculty at University of Kırıkkale. She writes and presents on issues about young consumers for social services. Birol Topcu is an Assistant Professor of Biostatistics at Faculty of Medicine in Namik Kemal University, Tekirdag, Turkey. Assist. Prof. Topcu teaches Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematical Statistics related courses. He received the B.S. degree in Mathematics Ankara University, 1995, M.S. degree in Mathematics, Afyon Kocatepe University, 1997, and PhD degree in Statistics Ankara University, 2003. His main research areas focus on dependence, statistics, biostatistics and mathematical statistics. Türker Tuğsal is a doctorate student of management at Istanbul Commerce University, Institute of Social Sciences, Istanbul-Turkey and researcher of capital markets and portfolio management department at Beykent University, Faculty of Applied Sciences. He has BAs in Business Administration at Süleyman Demirel University (2003) and Capital Markets and Finance masters degree from Bahçeşehir University (2006). Management and Organization Theories, Strategic Management, Organizational Behavior, Leadership, Organizational Economics and Financial Crisis are the main pillars of his academic studies. Evangelos Vasileiou is a certified Financial Analyst (Hellenic Republic Capital Market Commission) with extensive banking and finance professional experience in Greek financial institutions. He holds a bachelors’ degree in Economics (University of Piraeus, Greece) and MSc degree in Banking and Finance (University of Piraeus, Greece). Since 2011, Evangelos is a Phd Candidate in Banking and Finance at the Department of Business Administrator of the University of the Aegean, Greece. His major fields of interest are: Economics, Financial Analysis, Banking, Financial Risk and Forecasting. His papers has been presented in international conferences and published in international refereed journals such as Journal of Financial Regulation and Compliance, International Journal of Finance & Banking Studies, International Journal of Research in Business and Social Science, Journal of Money, Investment and Banking and others. Pelin Şahin Yarbağ is an assistant professor of entreprenuership at Beykent University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Istanbul- Turkey. Dr. Yarbağ has BAs in Business Administration at Beykent University (2001). She received PhD in International Economics with her thesis entitled as “After the 2008 Global Crisis, The Comparative Efficiency Analysis of Banks in Turkey, European Union and United States”. Her major academic studies focusing on entrepreneurship, international economics, strategic management, efficiency analysis and emotional intelligence.

Tekin Yenigün was born in Agrı/Turkey. He completed undergraduate degree from Afyon Kocatepe University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Public Finance. He completed master’s degree (MA) in business and he holds a Ph.D in Accounting and Finance from Afyon Kocatepe University. His main research fields focus on Accounting, Finance, Accounting Management and Control, Taxation and Business discipline. He works as the General Secretary at Namik Kemal University. Filiz Yıldırım is an assistant professor at Ankara University (Turkey), Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Social Work. She received her master’s and doctorate degrees from the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences. She was awarded a “Doctorate Research Scholarship” from TUBITAK to carry out a part of her doctorate research at the Department of Sociology, Criminology & Law at the University of Florida, the USA in 2011. She received the “International Young Scholar Award” from the Society for Research on Adolescence in Canada in 2012. She worked as a “Visiting Research Associate” at London University, Institute of Education, Department of Childhood, Families & Health in 2014. Her main research interests include aging & youth sociology, love, early (child) marriage, social justice and health literacy. She is also a post-doctoral fellow at Hacettepe University (Turkey), Department of Sociology. Binhan Elif Yılmaz, received her MS degree in Theory of Public Finance from Istanbul University Social Sciences Institute at 1994. She received her Phd degree on Public Finance at 2001, from the same institute. She was selected as a research assistant for Public Finance Department of Faculty of Economy in Istanbul University when she was a MS student. She became an associate professor at 2008 and professor at 2014 in Public Finance. The areas which are she is interested in and tutoring are Public Debts, Public Economy and Fiscal Sociology. She is the author of two books which are named as, The Debt Predicament from Ottomans to Our Today (2008) and The Transformation of Global Crisis into the Debt Predicament in Europe (2013). Beside the several administrative duties, she is the vice president of the Department of Public Finance. Neslihan Yilmaz earned her PhD degree from Michigan State University and is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Department of Management at Bogazici University. Neslihan Yilmaz’s research mainly focuses on behavioral finance. She presented her work on CEO overconfidence and investor behavioral biases in different conferences including the Financial Management Association Annual Meeting, 2013 and Fifth Annual Meeting of the Academy of Behavioral Finance and Economics. She also has a paper on market microstructure focusing on price discovery between New York Stock Exchange and Istanbul Stock Exchange. She serves as ad-hoc referee for Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions & Money, Boğaziçi Journal, Review of Social, Economic and Administrative Studies and Istanbul Stock Exchange Review. Nurul Farhana Zakaria is a Research Assistant at the Department of Resource Management and Consumer Studies, Faculty of Human Ecology, University Putra Malaysia. She was graduated with Master of Science (Family Economics and Management) from University Putra Malaysia. She has presented papers at national level and actively participated in conducting research funded by Fundamental Research Grant Scheme from Ministry of Higher Education and Ministry of Domestic Trade, Co-operative and Consumerism, Malaysia.
