Gilbert Silvius (1963) is professor of project and programme management at LOI University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands and senior research associate at the University of Johannesburg in South Africa. He initiated and developed the first MSc in Project Management program in the Netherlands and is considered a leading expert in the field of project management. Gilbert has published over a 100 academic papers and several books. He holds a PhD degree in information sciences from Utrecht University and masters’ degrees in economics and business administration. As a practitioner, Gilbert has over 20 years’ experience in organizational change and IT projects. He is principal consultant at Van Aetsveld, project and change management, and is a member of the international enable2change network of project management experts. *** Anne Basten got her Research Master’s in Behavioral Science / Psychology in 2010 and has put that to work in various internal and customer projects within Atos since then. As a product of “Generation Y,” Anne has been involved in finding smarter ways of working together in projects through enterprise social media and other social collaboration tools. John R. Bennett Jr. holds a doctorate in public administration and master’s degrees in higher education and historic preservation. He is an adjunct professor at Valdosta State University and executive director of a non-profit organization based in Savannah, GA. Kees (F.K.) Boersma is Associate Professor in the Department of Organization Sciences of the VU University Amsterdam. He completed his (awarded) PhD thesis at the Eindhoven University of Technology. His current research is about organization networks and strategies in the context of safety, crisis management and security. He is the group leader of AREA: Amsterdam Research on Emergency Administration, senior member of the Netherlands Institute of Governance (NIG) and senior editor of the Journal of Contingencies and Crisis Management (guest editor), Organization Management Journal and the International Journal of Emergency Services. He is an active member of the international Information Systems for Crisis Response and Management (ISCRAM) Community, at the 2014 conference on Empowering Citizens and Communities through Information Systems for Crisis Response and Management he is invited to join a panel on crisis, citizens and sensemaking.

Marcirio Silveira Chaves holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Lisbon. He is currently Professor at Nove de Julho University (UNINOVE), where he leads the research line Managing of Projects and the research group Managing Web 2.0 Technologies in Projects - TiP 2.0. He is also part of the faculty’s Informatics and Knowledge Management Graduate Program. He is Associate Editor of the Journal of Business and Projects, member of the Association for information Systems (AIS) and the editorial board of the Iberoamerican Journal of Project Management – IJoPM and reviewer of papers for several journals and conferences. He has more than 50 papers published in journals and scientific events and has collaborated with more than 50 authors. He has been cited by 250 authors with more than 580 citations to his work. Dominique Diks (MSc) is currently working as a junior consultant at Hiemstra & de Vries, a Dutch consultancy company that focuses on change processes within public organizations. After succeeding her Organization Sciences Bachelor, she enrolled in the Master’s Policy, Communication and Organization. During her Master’s, she specialized herself in social issues and corresponding problems. She finds her passion in doing things that have an impact on society and wherein she can achieve crystal clear positive results for the public benefit. Modern technology can help her achieve these results. She spent her Master’s thesis researching how social media and (big) data can contribute to the public sector. At the moment she is using this knowledge in her daily job at Hiemstra & de Vries, where she played an important role in organizing the Smart Government Congress. Esther (S.E.) van Dokkum combines working as inbound marketer and her studies at the HU University of Applied Sciences, Utrecht. And is an active participant in the Top Class program, she has certificates for internet marketing, inbound marketing and PRINCE2®. Esther is an experienced online marketer and regularly organizes both business and cultural events. Esther has done market research for several companies and takes part in the development of the ‘Cultuurmonitor’ (Cultural monitor) on consumer confidence in the cultural sector in the Netherlands. Julie (J.E.) Ferguson is Assistant Professor of Organization Sciences, VU University (PhD Economics and Business Administration). Her main research interests are ICT-enabled collaboration in heterogeneous, dispersed knowledge networks, particularly in development cooperation and emergency relief. Julie is a Research Associate of Royal Holloway University of London ICT4D Collective, and member of IFIP Working Group on Social Implications of Computers in Developing Countries. One of her major research projects (based on a Dutch Science Foundation grant, with co-authors Boersma and Wolbers) focuses on humanitarian disaster coordination, in particular the role of social media and citizen participation. Julie has published among others in Journal of Information Technology, Information Systems Journal, World Development, Journal of Knowledge Management, and Knowledge Management for Development Journal. Dave Garrett is the Director of Digital Presence for PMI and the President of ProjectManagement. com, PMI’s Global Knowledge Portal. As the Director of Digital Presence, Dave is responsible for the design and analytics of all of PMI’s digital properties. Jerry Giltenane Professional services director with Aspiracon, a consultancy company based in Ireland and regional support director for the Irish Chapter of the PMI. Holds a MBA from Henley /Business School, as well as a bachelor’s business degree and graduate diploma in computer science from the University of Limerick. Previously he worked with Dell, IBM, and System Dynamics. Co-Founder of Dell’s PM4LIFE program which was a winner at the global PMI professional awards for contribution via project management to the voluntary sector in 2104. Elizabeth Harrin, MA, FAPM, MBCS is the author of Customer-Centric Project Management, Social Media for Project Managers and others. He has authored or coauthored more than 50 refereed and governmental publications focused primarily on economic development and community development, leadership, innovation, and quality of life matters. He has conducted projects for a wide range of federal, state, regional, and local entities. Linky van der Merwe is a certified project management professional (PMP) and Founder of Virtual Project Consulting. She has been a senior project manager at Microsoft Consulting Services South Africa for 6 years and is now a Programme Manager at a major Retailer. He earned the Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational and Vocational Psychology at North Carolina State University. Frank Molendijk is a senior consultant with experience in complex IT projects, advice / research reports in which he had a mixed set of roles varying from IT specialist to project manager. His interest is strongly focused on IT in the broadest sense but also the human aspect of IT and the impact this has. In his current role, Frank is working at the Port of Rotterdam Authority as a business consultant and primarily on the possibilities and opportunities that IT trends—such as Internet of Things, Predictive Analytics, etc.—present. Hamid Nach is professor of Business Technology Management (BTM) at the University of Quebec at Rimouski, Lévis Campus. he has been working in the private sector before he enrolled in academia. He teaches undergraduate and graduate classes in the field of information systems. His research interests concerns generally the study of how people use and transform information and communication technologies (ICT) and how, in return, ICT transform their lives. His teaching covers a wide range of Business-Technology-Management related areas such as, IS strategy, IT management, cloud computing, ecommerce and social media. Ahdia Nazari is a service consultant at the Omnia Vocational College in Espoo, Finland. She received her BBA degree from the Laurea University of Applied Sciences in Espoo, Finland. In cooperation with Laurea’s project management department, she decided to write her thesis based on developing a social media plan featuring a case project that aimed at promoting methods of disseminating knowledge of students’ possibilities to quicker step into work life. She has been working as marketing assistant and service consultant. Ahdia Nazari has recently cooperated with an author by contributing a chapter from her thesis. Pascal Ravesteijn PhD is a Professor of Process Innovation and Information Systems. His main research interest is in Business Process Management (BPM). He is a member of the board of directors at the International Information Management Association (IIMA) and is a board member of the Dutch BPM-Forum. Furthermore, Pascal is editor of the Journal of International Technology Information Management and he is a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Global Management Studies. Kate Barnett-Richards is an experienced lecturer at Coventry University, and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, who specialises in Operations and Supply Chain Management. Prior to entering academia Kate held a number of Operations Management roles in both the retail and healthcare sectors. Her current research focuses on sustainable food supply chains; as well as disruptive and innovation learning practices. Marie Sams is currently a Senior Lecturer within the School of Strategy and Leadership at Coventry University. Céline Silvius (1992) is studying Cultural Events Management MSc at De Montfort University, Leicester. She is a BBA in International Business and Management, as well as a PRINCE2® certified junior project manager with experience in managing both business and cultural events. A few projects in her portfolio include working on the first edition of the China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair, the first edition of BonAppetito Food & Festival Utrecht and several theatrical and musical productions. Mark Sponselee (30) received a Master’s degree in project management in 2014, after completing the Master’s Project Management program at the Hogeschool Utrecht. His master’s thesis was about the application possibilities of social media in project management. Mark started working as a project management consultant at Van Aetsveld in 2008 and possesses knowledge and experience in portfolio, programme, and project—change management. Giuliana Veronese holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Lisbon. Worked on European research projects developing large-scale distributed algorithms based on new security paradigms aiming to prevent systems against malicious attacks. Responsible for several articles published on international conferences (ACM, IEEE). Currently, she is responsible for managing all LATAM delivery centers located in the following countries: Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Mexico. He has multiple years of experience in managing projects and programs, most of them related to customer communication and social collaboration. Deborah Walker is a seasoned marketing communications professional specializing in social media. Ina Wensveen has been working in Information Technology since 1987 in various roles and assignments, particularly in the banking sector. She has many years of professional experience in change management, team development and organizational change. Ina has been actively involved in the Atos Zero email program from the start in 2011. As a social collaboration expert she supports teams and organizations in adopting new, collaborative ways of working to deliver more added value. Peter Wijngaard (IPMA-B certified, international program manager) has 20 years project management experience in various sectors, including Oil & Gas, ICT, Telecom, Central Government, and Pharmaceuticals. Peter got his PhD at the Agricultural University, and continued his career as management consultant, and project and program manager. He is Thought Leader P3M: active in professionalization of project management by scientific research, solution development, teaching, publishing, reviewer for IJPM, and international assessor for the IPMA Project Excellence Award. He is co-author of the book “De Kloof”. Jeroen (J.J.) Wolbers has written his PhD thesis at the VU Amsterdam Research on Emergency Administration research group (promotion date: January 2016). His PhD thesis is titled ‘Drawing the Line: Practicing cross-boundary coordination in emergency response’. Based upon an interpretive analysis he describes how cross-boundary coordination is practiced between heterogeneous response organizations and gives an explanation for how coordination can lead both to integration and fragmentation of response operations. Part of his work is published in leading crisis management journals and he is an active member of the ISCRAM association.
