Returned Checks: A check returned for insufficient funds will result in a $50.00 fee being assessed on your account. Participation in current and future programs will be suspended until fee is paid. Refunds: Refunds can be authorized only BEFORE the second program meeting unless it is a special event or one-night program. Cancellations: All registrations will be fully refunded should an entire program be cancelled by the recreation department. Huron Blvd. 6 Picnic Pavilions, 6 Ball Diamonds, 2 Tennis Courts, 1 Basketball Court, Playgrounds, Restrooms and a lifesize Train. Morton Park—560 Busha Hwy. 2 ball fields, 2 picnic pavilions, skateboard/bike park, inline hockey rink, basketball court and 2 playgrounds. Great park that has something for the whole family. Mermaid Park - 159 Gratiot This small park has a small parking lot with stairs that lead down to a boardwalk that is a great fishing spot along the St. Clair River. Parking is free, but on beautiful nights, parking can be very limited. Washington Park - Adjacent to Washington School Nearly 3 acres in size this park is the perfect place to play a game of football, throw a Frisbee, walk the dog or have an impromptu picnic. Veterans Memorial Park Located across the street from Marysville Park, this park is right on the St. Clair River. A short boardwalk provides visitors views of the beautiful water front along with a ADA Accessible Kayak/Canoe Launch Chrysler Beach New Improvements made to the beautiful beach located on the St. Clair River. Enjoy the new Playground, Fish Cleaning Station, and Concession Stand, along with Restrooms.

Concerts are held at the Marysville City Park Band Shell on Wednesday evenings at 7:00PM. In the case of inclement weather, the concerts will be moved to the Marysville High School Auditorium. Free admission and open to the public.

Detroit Tigers vs. New York Mets, Friday, August 5th Take the bus down to Comerica Park and watch the Tigers take on the Mets! The bus will pick us up at the Meijer Park and Ride at 5:15PM, and bring us back right after the game. Food and drinks are welcome on the bus! Price includes bus ride and ticket to the game. 50 tickets available, so hurry to reserve your spot! Price: $40

Genisys Sunset 5K Run/Walk Join us for the 6th Annual 5K Sunset Run/Walk on Wednesday, August 24. The course will start at the Marysville Community Center where participants will then enjoy the beautiful scenery of the St. Clair River, Stag Island and views of Canada. Race starts at 7:00PM. No dogs please. NEW! Family Slow-Roll Bring the whole family to take a bike ride through the city to see a different part of Marysville each week. Participants will learn about bike safety and our bike paths that traverse our city. Councilmember Rita Hendricks will be leading the group each week. Meet at the Marysville Community Center. Youth Camps and Activities Teen Volunteer Program The Marysville Recreation Department is one of the best in the area and that is due to the amount of teen volunteers we get every summer! This gives teens an opportunity to get work experience while developing good work habits and giving back to their community. We will need volunteers to help with sports programs, aquatics, playground program and special events. All volunteers will receive a t-shirt and experience. Viking Hoops Camp June 20-24 The annual Viking Hoops Camp will teach young athletes the basic fundamentals of the game, while developing a healthy work ethic and positive attitude. This camp will take place at the Marysville High School Gymnasium. Lego Camp Students build, race, modify and KEEP up to 10 different, cool pullback motorized toy building brick cars! Each car comes with a design pamphlet, and students become junior engineers as they design new vehicles using their kits. Hands-on learning activities and experiments demonstrate science and engineering concepts such as simple machines, friction, tension, resistance, potential and kinetic energy. Tent City Boys and girls (ages 7-13) join us again this summer for our 10th Annual Tent City! Campers will be setting up their tents in Marysville City Park. We will be spending the evening playing fun games like capture the flag, kickball, dodgeball, group games, football, and doing our famous midnight scavenger hunt and splash pad adventure! Date: Thursday, July 28th to Friday, July 29th Time: Drop off 6 p.m. Thursday/ Pick up by 8 a.m. Friday Fee: $15 and a packaged snack to share for 15 kids Must be pre-registered ! All campers will be well supervised! We will be handing out prizes for best decorated tent!

Youth Camps and Activities Field Trips Fridays are the NEW field trip days! These special trips are for ages 7-14, and chaperoned by our supervisors and staff. Price for each trip $30.00 per child. A few notes about the trips:  Trips are for Residents and Non-Residents  Children must be supervised by Recreation Staff at ALL TIMES (5:1 ratio)  Children MUST be pre-registered by each trips deadline  Transportation provided by Marysville School Buses  40 Child MAX for each trip. Playground Program at the City Park The Marysville Recreation Department invites your child, ages 6-12, to participate in our playground program at the City Park. This program includes board games, arts and crafts, imaginative games, playground games, individual and team sports, fitness, education, splash pad, adventures and more! Children are encouraged to bring a sack lunch. NEW: Every day will start at the Community Center! Dates: June 20– July 28th Monday – Thursday Time: 11:00AM-4:00PM Fee: $50 Resident/ $75 NonResident

Tot-Lot Program Recreation staff will lead children through fun organized activities like games, crafts, stories and more. This program is for ages 3-5. All staff is CPR and first aid certified. Volleyball This program is designed to teach the basic skills of volleyball through fun drills and competitions, and also game situations.

Flag Football The staff will lead the youth players through the basic fundamentals of football through drills and exercises. This will lead into a flag football game. The players will learn through active drills and instruction to master the skills and rules of this game. Aquatics Swim Lessons: $20 Resident $30 Non-Resident The lessons will be offered in 3-week and 6-week sessions. Classes are limited to 15 kids per class with two instructors. All classes will be held at the Marysville High School Pool. Below are the levels listed, so please read carefully to make sure you place your child in the right swim class. Level 1 Water Exploration: This level is to help students feel comfortable in the water and to enjoy the water safely. Swimmers will learn how to submerge their heads, basic breath control and supported floating on front/back. Level 2 Primary Skills: Gives swimmers success with fundamental skills and learn to float without support. Learn the basic self-help skills. Level 3 Stroke Readiness: Swimmers learn the fundamentals of front/back crawl, treading water and are introduced to the back stroke. Level 4 Stroke Development: Swimmers develop confidence in strokes learned thus far and work to improve other aquatic skills. An introduction to the breaststroke, sidestroke and wall turns is provided. Level 5 Stroke Refinement: Swimmers work on coordination and refinement of key strokes. Introduce the butterfly, open turns, feet-first surface dives. Swimmers increase swim distances. Level 6 Skill Proficiency: Swimmers polish strokes so they swim with more ease, efficiency, power and smoothness over greater distances. 3 Week Swim Lessons

Aquatics Swim Team The swim team is for boys and girls ages 6-18 years old living in the Marysville School District. All practices are Monday through Thursday with swim meets being held on Fridays for all age groups. Swimmers MUST attend at least 2 practices a week to be able to participate in the swim meets. All participants must be able to swim one length of the pool in any stroke and will be tested on the first day. The swim team is limited to 100 kids, swim meets 50. Special Needs Swim Lessons These are 20-minute swim lessons that will get the special needs children in the pool playing games and learning how to swim. They will be one on one with an instructor. Participants must be toilet trained. Call the Recreation Department to set up the time and instructor. Fee: $20 for 6 weeks

Private Swim Lessons Call the Recreation Department to set up a private lesson with an instructor. Cost: $15/ half hour.

Water Aerobics Kathy Levandowski’s water aerobics class is a full hour of cardio, strengthening and toning that will take your fitness to a whole new level. Water weights & noodles will be provided. Be sure to bring a towel and water in a plastic container. Class is limited to 20 people men or women. Dates: June 21- July 28 Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays Time: 5:00-6:00PM Cost: $30 Resident $40 Non-Resident

Senior Water Aerobics Seniors can enjoy the benefit of warm, therapeutic water set between 82-86 degrees. The pool is handicap accessible, including the ramp entrance/exit. This is a group exercise program without a lead instructor. The program is for ages 50 and older. Dates: Now- August 11 Days: Tuesday and Thursday Location: RESA Woodlands Pool, 499 S. Fitness Classes NEW! Fitness with Sheila Volker Sheila is a certified Elite Fitness Trainer who loves to motivate people through workouts by having fun cheering them on. NEW! Walk Strong with Deborah Forster An outdoor walking class that utilizes interval walking and body weight exercises to develop cardio and functional strength. Pickleball It’s a little tennis, a bit of ping-pong, and a splash of badminton! Come join the fun with this drop-in program and learn the hottest game out there. The first night will be a clinic to introduce everyone to pickleball. This game is designed for all ages, and will keep you on your toes.
