In the morning at the MV Public Library, we will explore inspiring stories. We will enter into these stories using drama games and creative writing activities and use them as a jumpingoff point for creating our own story. In the afternoons, we will migrate to the Railway Station to explore several puppetry forms. At the end of the week, we will bring the story we have written to life with a puppet performance.

The Polish Kashub Heritage Museum/Skansen Heritage Park, Wilno

OPEN DAILY IN JULY AND AUGUST • FROM 11 am to 5 pm An open-air ethnographic museum built by the Wilno Heritage Society, descendants and friends of the Polish Kashub people in Canada. The museum is dedicated to the hardworking Polish Kashub pioneers and tells the story of their lives in Canada using artifacts, furniture, machinery, tools, buildings and homestead stones. Combermere Craft Cabin

LOCAL ARTISANS AND ARTISTS. Housed in a century-old log cabin, this cooperative showcases unique handmade items, created locally. Visual, fibre, textile, pottery, woodwork, sculptures, paper creations—these are a few of the traditional arts to be found at the cabin. Mission House Museum and Gallery

Visitors from all over the world come to better understand the rich history of the Combermere community. There are over 45 stories in the museum with photos, storyboards, and artifacts. The society has installed over 15 plaques depicting heritage sites and conducts walking tours during the summer months. Open June 29 to Sept 2, Wed to Friday, 1 pm–4 pm or other times by appointment for small groups.
