GOD CALLS US TO WORSHIP The Call to Worship– M:

This is the day the Lord has made!

P:

Rejoice and be glad in it!

M:

God’s compassion and love for us is never ending. We are called to love and care as God does.

P:

Lord, help us to realize the great responsibility we have to be your witnesses through our daily living. Lord, touch us in this holy hour!

+ The Hymn #577

“God of Grace and God of Glory” (vss. 1&2 only)

Lord, we are here. We know that you are among us as we gather to worship in your name. Make this hour be for us a “holy” hour. Help us to feel your spirit moving within us and leading us to continued growth in our own spirits and as a church family. Help us, too, to claim your power to change the world as we work for your kingdom’s sake. This we ask in Jesus’ name. AMEN.

WE CONFESS OUR SINS The Call to Confession The Prayer of General Confession–

Lord God, there is so much pain and suffering in the world today. Even in our church family the daily stress and struggle is not easy. Lord, if we have failed to be there for each other, please forgive us. Help us to realize how to accept love and care from others, even those we fear. Open our eyes again to the transforming power of loving others as you have loved us. In Jesus’ name we pray. AMEN.
