Burton Morris Pop! goes the Artist

Die Kunst von Burton Morris gibt unserer heutigen Kultur kraftvolle, farbige Impulse. Im charakteristischen Post-Pop Art Stil projiziert er eine gewagte, kraftvolle Stimmung voller Energie und Optimismus auf Motive aus unserem täglichen Umfeld. „Ich möchte mein Publikum inspirieren und neugierig machen, die Dinge des Alltags anders zu betrachten.“ Mitte der 90er Jahre fand Burton Morris erste nationale Beachtung, als seine Bilder im Set der erfolgreichen NBC-Fernsehserie „Friends“ erschienen. Später wurden seine Werke für die 76. Academy Awards® , die World Cup Soccer Games und die Olympischen Sommerspiele 2004 ausgewählt.

Avec les tableaux de Burton Morris, la culture actuelle prend une dimension vive et colorée. Son style Post-pop art transforme avec audace les repères qui jalonnent notre quotidien en symboles de vitalité et d’optimisme. « Mon objectif est d’inspirer mon public et de l’inciter à remettre en question sa vision des objets quotidiens qui l’entourent. » Dès le milieu des années 1990, ses oeuvres se font connaître aux États-Unis en intégrant le décor de Friends, la série à succès de NBC. Burton Morris fait ensuite son apparition sur la scène internationale: son travail est sélectionné pour la 76ème édition des Academy Awards®, la Coupe du monde de football 1998 en les Jeux olympiques d’été de 2004.

Artist Burton Morris’ paintings put an energetic and colorful spin on today’s culture. In his post-Pop style, Morris boldly projects an enticing mood of high energy and optimism portraying images that people relate to in everyday life. “I want to inspire and intrigue my audience by challenging the way they look at everyday objects around us.” He first gained national attention in the mid1990s when his artwork was chosen to hang on the set of the NBC hit television series “Friends.” Over the years, his artwork has been selected for the 76th Academy Awards®, the World Cup Soccer Games and the 2004 Summer Olympic Games.
