LIBRARY The Elizabeth Prewitt Taylor Memorial Library continued to add materials to the collection, through purchases, donations and exchanges with other museums. These materials were catalogued into the online catalog to provide access for patrons of the CALS system. The library continues to attract users from the main CALS library through the online catalog. The library’s collection of artist catalogs was weeded so that only materials pertaining to artists in the Arts Center’s permanent collection were retained. Materials that were no longer needed were donated to local art teachers. The library has expanded its collection of instructional DVDs. The Arkansas Arts Center presented Studio Party: Jazzkapelle on March 31, 2012, at the Arts Center. The party’s “Roaring 20s” theme was inspired by a 1921 Max Beckmann drawing from the Arts Center’s permanent collection titled Jazzkapelle, which, in German, means jazz band. The atrium was converted into a speakeasy atmosphere, where guests danced the night away to the sounds of Liquid Pleasure from Atlanta. Proceeds from the event will be used for exhibition and educational programs. 2011-2012 Studio Party Host Committee Lila and David Ashmore Todd Bagwell Lindsey and Danny Binz Ginger and Thomas Blackmon Erin and Justin Brady Laura Connor Chris Cranford Jay Cranford Ross Cranford Errin and David Dean Erin Cullum and Jeff Marcussen Ashley and Haskell Dickinson, III Josie and Daniel Felton Annie Feltus Mary Katherine and Andrew Hastings Nikki and Lee Hastings, IV Olivia Hussman Kelly and Jason Imhoff Autumn and Jason Jacob Wendy and Stephen LaFrance Jeffrey Landers Jennifer and Mark McCarty Rachael and Dan Oberste Ashley Saer Chris Smith Elizabeth and Van Tilbury
