C. Shelters: We requested to add the Ortona and Washington Park Community Centers as host shelters not primary due to the construction of the buildings.

We requested to add the Department of Health Building as the primary Person's with Special Needs Shelter and use the Muse school as a backup.

Hendry County uses our PSN shelter and the DOH building would be a central location for Clewiston and LaBelle. DOH operates this shelter. FDEM will evaluate all shelters in the county this year. This could help us add more shleters.

D. Public Outreach The 2015 All Hazard Guides have been printed and are being dispersed throughout the County to businesses, churches, community centers, labor camps and RV Parks. Spanish guides were available this year so we ordered 500 this year.

We had booths with information at the Buckhead Ridge Catfish Festival, Cane Grinding, Sour Orange, Honey Festival, Moore Haven Elementary Open House, and DOH Back to School Awareness Day.

All hazard and hurricane preparedness presentations were conducted for the Community Summer Programs, and Friends of the Library meeting. We have reviewed all new and updated plans for Home Health Care Agencies, Florida Power and Light and Glades Electric. The CEMP, COOP and LMS plans will be coming up for review and update in 2015116. We are in the process of updating them now.

G. Debris Management * The Department of Environmental Protection has approved our predetermined debris sites for 2015. Also, the debris plan was updated this year. The BOCC will vote on the new debris company from the RFP's that were ranked and submitted to the board. This will complete our Debris Plan and approval from FDEM so it can be submitted to FEMA for review and approval. We will work on the debris monitoring companies next.

H. Volunteers We have a few Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT) and HAM/RACES volunteers. They continue to be a great asset to our department and our community but most of the people that volunteer for one thing volunteer for multiple organizations. We have been working with the American Red Cross to bring more classes and trainings to Glades County. We are setting up monthly meetings so we can do a community wide recruitment.

l.

Events

We have carried out tasks of incident command, rehab, food and sheltering, Working multiple motor vehicle crashes, hazmal spill, brush fires, structure fires, wind event, and coordinated, received and delivered donations to those in need. Emergency Management was contacted and/or responded to some of the following calls (some afterhours & weekends)

. . o . . . .

One (1) Wind Related One (1) Tornado/Funnel Cloud Two (2) Wildland Fires Two (2) Structure Fires Four (4) Vehicle Accidents Two (2) Hazmat Spill One (1) Fire/Explosion in a structure We were fortunate not to have any Tropical Storm or Hurricane threats this past year.

J. Other We were able to purchase new HAM/RACES radio and antenna equipment for our volunteers to use year round for the new EOC Glades County is now recognized as a Weather Ready Nation Ambassador as of April 23, 2015. We were also recognized as a Storm Ready County by the National Weather Service. Bob Kosiba, our Planning Section Chief during an activation, was awarded the Governor's Hurricane Conference Distinguished Service Award for his many contributions to Glades County Emergency Management and DOH. Glades County EM in coordination with Hendry/Glades Florida Depaftment of Health nominated him for the award.

Summary of Goals for Next Year: Next year we would like to explore the possibility of getting a countywide notification system to ensure the citizens get proper warnings in a timely manner.

Look at buying Web EOC for future events. This allows easier tracking, procurement, and distribution of resources during a disaster. This would create

a

real-time link between us, our region and the state. We are the only county in Region 6 that does not have WebEOC at this time. Over the next year we plan to continue to monitor for new grants that become available. Over the next year we will continue to monitor any retrofit funding that becomes available, seek out potential shelter sites, and look at those which may have pet friendly options. We will continue to closely monitor and assess the impact of any changes to sheltering requirements made by American Red Cross and/or Florida Division of Emergency Management.

We will continue to search for ways to provide better information to the public in the timeliest, cost effective, and user friendly ways. We will continue to attend yearly conferences as mandated by our Scope of Work and take training that will be beneficial to us as well as the residence of Glades County. We will also work to bring training locally to responders, employees, and residents to help better prepare for and respond to disasters. Work on updating all of our plans to be more streamlined and allow for better comprehension and implementation. Over the next year we will continue to recruit volunteers for our programs as well as hold training classes to increase our number of volunteers. The new EOC will be a big help for our increased training. Also look at appointing a volunteer coordinator to help manage and keep volunteers active and more efficient.

lncrease our social media followers by a total of 15%. We have researched the stop sign evacuation zone collar program and what it will take to implement for all communities in the County. At this time no one in the county knows an exact count for stop signs. Add the shape file to the county website page with the evacuation zones on it. *Denotes items that are required per our Scope of Work.
