Annual Report F Y2015 July 1, 2014 - June 30, 2015
On a Mission to Save Smiles A
s we approach our 10th anniversary, we reflect with deep appreciation on the individuals and companies who have made it possible for America’s ToothFairy: National Children’s Oral Health Foundation® to impact millions of young lives affected by pediatric dental disease. It is because of your unwavering commitment and generosity we are able to continue our fight to eradicate this preventable disease from our nation and its future generations. Since our founding in 2006, America’s ToothFairy has received tremendous support from the dental industry and, this year in particular, overwhelming receptivity from organizations outside the dental field. Members of the National Association of School Nurses are utilizing our ToothFairy 101® Community Education Kit to drive oral health literacy in schools. Student chapters of HOSA: Future Health Professionals are exploring dental careers and improving oral health in their communities. Boys & Girls Clubs of America are using America’s ToothFairy educational materials and programs to drive positive oral health behaviors. These “non-traditional” partners have not only delivered vital services to vast populations of vulnerable children, they have sparked
2
enthusiastic local participation to address the critical issue of children’s oral health. America’s ToothFairy is proud to work with innovative partners like these and many others who understand the imperative to drive a systems change toward prevention of disease, rather than treatment alone, and raise the optics of oral health nationwide. Harnessing the vast potential of academic and civic organizations, the resources of corporations, the talent of health professionals, and the passion of youth, America’s ToothFairy is committed to creating a world where no child suffers from preventable tooth decay. «
