3rd Sunday of Easter April 10, 2016 Fr. Ben’s Message: Avoid the slump; lent was good but let’s not fall back into bad habits. That is the temptation that I am facing, so I project it on all of you. We each have to shoulder our own burdens. Two strange things strike me in today’s gospel; when they arrive on shore Jesus already has a fire going and fish on the grill. (He anticipates and is prepared.) The second item is that Simon Peter has to drag the full net ashore. (We have to do work.) We take time next Saturday to thank those that do much of the work here at the parish. A chance to sit around and enjoy a meal and one another and then everyone will help clean-up. Peace and all good, Fr. Ben

Thank you!

Think of how tired, discouraged and frustrated the apostles must have been in the Gospel reading today. Then Jesus shows up and tells them to try one more time. Because they were willing and obedient, Jesus blessed them abundantly. It works the same way in our own lives today; if we trust in Jesus and do what He tells us to do we will receive His abundant blessings! Allow the grace of God to strengthen, renew and rekindle your marriage relationship.
