MINUTES of the REGULAR MEETING of the BOARD OF EDUCATION held May 7, 2014 at the West Genesee High School Library. Members present:

MEETING CALLED TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Deborah Simon at 7:43 p.m. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The Pledge of Allegiance was said at the public hearing; therefore it was dispensed with at the regular meeting.

ADDITIONS AND DELETIONS TO THE AGENDA None SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT The Superintendent began his report by congratulating Camillus Middle School student Jack Howes for winning the Optimists Oratorical Contest. He then congratulated senior Elizabeth Bova for receiving the NROTC scholarship through the US Marine Corps. The Superintendent gave an update about grades 3-8 math refusals where he indicated that 129 students refused to take the assessment. He ended his report by giving a building project update, a goal update, and spoke briefly about a blog post he recently posted. OPEN FORUM None APPROVAL OF MINUTES A.

Peter Blake announced that the Respect and Responsibility (R2) Club at the high school will be hosting a community movie night.
