DEPOSITING of the RELICS
The Bishop places relics of Saint Quirinus and Saint Pius X in an aperture in the altar. The aperture is then closed and the Bishop returns to the chair.
PRAYER of DEDICATION

ANOINTING of the ALTAR
The Bishop pours Sacred Chrism on the middle of the altar and on each of its four corners, anointing the entire table of the altar.
INCENSATION of the ALTAR
The Bishop puts incense into the brazier on the altar. He then puts incense into the censor and incenses the altar. He is then incensed and the Deacon proceeds to incense the people.
LIGHTING of the ALTAR
The Bishop gives a lighted candle to the Deacon. The Deacon goes to the altar and lights the candles for the celebration of the Eucharist.

Liturgy of the Eucharist As the altar is prepared and the gifts are presented to the Bishop, we join in singing:
Eucharistic Prayer Preface At the conclusion of the Preface, we join in singing: Holy, Holy, Holy . . . . The Eucharistic Prayer continues until we join in singing the mystery of our faith: We proclaim your Death, O Lord . . . . The Eucharistic Prayer culminates and concludes when the celebrant sings the Doxology. We respond: AMEN, AMEN, AMEN, AMEN The celebrant invites the assembly to join in praying the Lord’s prayer: OUR FATHER Sign of Peace The celebrant extends the sign of peace to all here present and the Deacon in turn invites the entire assembly to share some sign of Christ’s peace. Breaking of the Bread During the breaking of the bread and the comingling, the following litany is sung: LAMB of GOD Communion Procession 6
