Study China and Study India Different application deadlines depending on the programme and the time of year The following costs are all covered for students accepted to these two programmes by the government sponsors: • Accommodation for the duration of the programme • Airport pickup and drop off • Tuition of language and academic courses • Activities and associated trips • Contribution towards food/travel/mobile phone minutes

How to apply One online application form for the University of Nottingham programmes in China and Malaysia, and the overseas programmes via the UK International Office • Online application and a pdf preview is now available on our website www.nottingham.ac.uk/go/summerschools • List up to 3 summer schools in order of priority • Only list a summer school if you would be prepared to go there • For some of the Summer Schools you can also select which course you would like to take Application deadline Friday 26 February 2016 5pm
Apply directly and independently to the Study China Programme or the Study India Programme
Selection process • Applications will be considered based on your suitability for the programme, your personal statement and your academic history • Only students who have submitted a personal statement will be considered • Students in the following categories will be prioritised: – No resit examinations – Not in the final year – Not studied abroad before
• For European options, students from specific schools will be prioritised but ALL students can apply: – IESEG: Business School, Economics and Engineering – Audencia: Business and Politics
Selection process • For the U21 Summer School, we are looking for students who: – are in their penultimate or final year – have an average of 60% to date – have a consistent academic performance with no resit examinations
Acceptance You will be informed of the outcome of your application by email to your Nottingham email address by 5pm on Wednesday 9 March and you should accept your offer by Friday 11 March by email.
If accepted… • Formally accept your allocation and commit to the programme • Apply to your allocated summer programme and submit required supporting documentation before the end of the Spring term. Further information on how to apply will be sent to you by email. • Pre-departure meeting for all students after the Easter holiday • Scholarships and bursaries will be paid by bank transfer to a UK bank account prior to departure
