Registration is accepted after hours by dropping forms and payment into the mail slot of the main office door. The Community Center is open from 7:00am - 6:00pm Monday -Thursday and 8:00am - 10:00pm Friday - Sunday. Registration forms are available in the main hallway or on-line at www.hermosabch.org REFUND POLICY Refunds/Transfers requests must be made in writing on the form provided and received by the department before the start of the second-class meeting. Once approved, refund processing takes 4-6 weeks, minus a $15 processing fee per refund.

Reservations will be made on a first come first serve basis for residents of Hermosa Beach only (ID & current utility bill required) for Valley Park and South Park. The Community Resources Department will make a maximum of two reservations on each available calendar day. Park reservations must be made in person during regular business hours (Monday - Thursday 7am - 6pm) at the Community Center. One bounce house permitted with a park reservation in the amphitheater at Valley Park per day. Proof of insurance naming the City of Hermosa Beach as additionally insured is required when requesting a bounce house. Ages: 6 – 13 | 8am-4pm Valley Park Day Camp is a Day Camp Program for children ages 6 – 13. Day Campers participate in a variety of activities that are fun, safe and educational. Sports, drama, cooperative games, crafts, beach activities and off-site excursions encourage social, physical and creative development. The week culminates with a potluck lunch and an afternoon of skits and performances. An enthusiastic leadership staff of experienced camp counselors supervises all activities. Counselor to camper ratio is 1:10. Please note: Participants must be 6 years of age prior to registration. “This is My City” Camp - How I want Hermosa Beach to be in 15 Years Grades 5-8 This week long exploration of Hermosa Beach is your opportunity to learn all about your city and what makes it work. You will meet members of the City Council, the City Manager, many of the city staff members, city planners, and officers of the city Historical Society. You will also have a chance to explore the city by making a number of very exciting local field trips. Participants from last year’s camp are welcome so that they may continue their experience of getting to know the city and make important and meaningful changes. Participants will be invited to come to the Hermosa Beach City Council to let them know what they have learned during the week and discuss any suggestions they have for the Council Members. Join the longest running skate class in the South Bay! This 8-year class focuses on teaching the youth all about skateboarding. CGC is an AKC certification program that is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The Canine Good Citizen Program is an advanced training class that stresses responsible pet ownership and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club, laying the foundation for dogs that may progress into Therapy Work.
