Excursions

How about a boat trip – with family or friends, or a peaceful moment à deux on the lake? Our skipper will be delighted to take you to the most picturesque places on Lake Lucerne. Or would you prefer to captain the boat yourself? Discover Vitznau, Weggis or Hertenstein at the helm of our Harris Cruiser 200 CX pontoon boat (no licence required).

In the beginning there was Central Switzerland. The Rütli Pact, signed by the Cantons of Uri, Schwyz and Unterwalden, marked the beginning of the Swiss Federation and the history of Switzerland as we know it today. These days, the region has many fascinating day trips to offer. A visit to Victorinox, the producers of the legendary Swiss Army Knife, to see the Federal Charter of 1291, or to Lucerne’s world famous ‘dying lion’ monument are musts when visiting the area. We would be delighted to help you put together the programme of your choice.

Round trip Vitznau bay: ca. 1 hour Round trip direction Lucerne or Uri: 1-2 hours How about water skiing, wake boarding or wake surfing? We would be delighted to book this for you with one of our local partners. Price per hour: from 250 CHF

Rigi Mt. Rigi is a paradise for walkers, with a wide variety of paths to choose from. In winter, choose from sledging, snow shoe trekking, cross country skiing or winter walking tracks. Take Europe’s first cog wheel railway to Rigi Kulm, or take the cable car from Weggis to Rigi Kaltbad.

With many attractions and sites of interest, Lucerne is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The Chapel Bridge and Water Tower, the Musegg city walls, the Jesuit Church, the Spreuer Bridge, the Lion Monument and the KKL (Culture and Convention Centre Lucerne) are just some of the many impressive sights.

Lucerne’s KKL plays host to the Lucerne Festival – at Easter, in the summer and on the piano – and also to many concerts and events. The Rosengarten Collection in Lucerne’s newest gallery, contains works by Klee and Picasso. Or admire the huge panoramic painting of the Bourbaki Panorama, one of the last remaining examples of its kind.

Lake Lucerne The region of Lake Lucerne is known as ‘Switzerland’s water tower’. The many lakes, both high up and lower down, rivers, streams and waterfalls shape the landscape. Sit back and enjoy the unique panorama on a relaxing trip on one of the lake’s steamboats.

Adventure and Discovery A helicopter round trip, go-karting, cave exploration, paintball, paper chase around Lucerne and clay pigeon shooting are just some of the many exciting things the region has to offer. Our younger guests can explore the Swiss Museum of Transport in Lucerne, or the Animal Park at Goldau. We would be delighted to create an itinerary just for you.

Winter Sports The area around Lake Lucerne is home to a range of winter sport destinations. The Klewenalp-Stockhütte area can be reached by boat and cable car, while Andermatt-Sedrun has 120 kilometres of pistes. Engelberg-Titlis – the highest ski area in the region – provides winter fun 365 days of the year, with 3 sledge routes and 40km of cross country tracks.
