MESSAGE FROM THE HEADTEACHER:
Dear Parents and Carers Last Monday we held an English Curriculum Evening for the parents of children in Years Five and Six. Thank you to all of the parents who attended, it gave a very clear insight into spelling, punctuation and grammar knowledge, as well as how writing is taught in the upper years of Key Stage Two. Just a reminder that we have the Lower Key Stage Two English Curriculum Evening next Monday at 7.00pm. If you would like your child to have a School Christmas Lunch, please remember to sign up by tomorrow. Details of the menu are included in this newsletter. One last reminder, don’t forget the School is closed tomorrow for an INSET day. We look forward to seeing you on Monday, ready for the start of a brand new week. Yours sincerely

CHRISTMAS AT ORLEANS – OUR VERY OWN CD! We are delighted to tell you that on Friday 9 December, we will be recording our very own Orleans CD! This will be done by a professional company and every child will be involved. These CDs make a great Christmas present for friends and family, and of course to have in your own home. Each CD will cost £8 and any profit made will be used to buy further music resources. To get the CDs produced in time for the end of term, make sure you order them promptly – you can order as many as you like – the more we buy, the greater the profit for the school! Order forms are available from the office, and OPPTA will also be taking orders at the Christmas Fair on 10 December. Once you’ve ordered your CDs, you will be able to pay for them via ParentPay. Please note, we can ONLY order CDs that we’ve received payment for, so to avoid disappointment, don’t forget to pay up promptly! The deadline for order forms and payments will be 12th December. We are sure that the CDs will be a great keepsake for you – the children at Orleans are wonderful singers and they’re sure to bring a smile to your face! Mrs Ricketts and Miss Banks
