On 30 June 1975, Arab Heavy Industries Pr.J.S.C (AHI) was founded pursuant to a decree issued by His Highness Shaikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman. The Company constructed its shipyard on the coast of Ajman and commenced operations in 1976. The yard was the first to provide drydocking services to the shipping and marine industry in the United Arab Emirates. The Company is proud to be a part of the industrial growth in Ajman. Through the years, it has also enjoyed the friendship and co-operation of the people and business community of Ajman

The Company AHI, a public joint stock company, is jointly owned by the Ajman Government, Al Futtain Group, the Keppel Group of Singapore and other investors. It provides an entire spectrum of ship repair, conversion, shipbuildfing and steel fabrication services to the marine, offshore and engineering industries. Strategically located along the coast of the Gulf in the emirates of AJman, about 25 km from Dubai, its 27-hectare yard has easy access by road and sea. The Company is managed by the Keppel Group, Singapore. The ship repair and shipbuilding division of the Group has the largest shipyard operations in Singapore and an international network of ship repair yards in Asia, Middle East and North America. Combining its pioneering spirit of serving the shipping industry in the Gulf with Keppel’s technical and management expertise, financial resources and worldwide marketing network, AHI is able to meet the most rigorous needs of its customers. Together with its subsidiary, Arab Eagle Marine Engineering LLC in Dubai, which also offers afloat repair, it can undertake all kinds of marine repairs anytime and anywhere in the Gulf.

Ship Repair and Conversions We know that time is costly. Our skilled workers are available round-the-clock to provide high quality services at the fastest turnaround time. With our experience of handling more than 120 vessels of various configurations each year, AHI is able to carry out a wide diversity of repairs and conversions to the satisfaction of its customers. Vessels repaired include conventional cargo vessels, tankers, offshore supply boats, anchor handling tugs, MODUs, pipe-laying vessels, barges, tugboats, fishing vessels, split barges and dredgers.

We offer the following services: • Drydocking for annual and special surveys • Cleaning, blasting and painting of hulls and tank internals • Steelwork and emergency repairs • Ship conversions and modifications • Overhauling and installation of main and auxiliary diesel engines and deck machinery • Electrical repairs, trouble shooting • Afloat repairs alongside or offshore running repairs

Offshore AHI’s involvement with the Offshore Industry in the Gulf dates back to the early 70s during the development of the oil exploration industry and was one of the first facilities set up for the purpose. The comprehensive steel fabrication shop and the large fabrication areas especially cater for construction of modules, legs, jackets and other steel structures. More than 500 meters of repair berths are available for alongside work and also allow load out of heavy structures safe and efficiently. With the skilled workforce and the effective project management terms, AHI is able to undertake offshore projects quickly and economically. Supported by the extensive experience and technical expertise of the Keppel Group, AHI offers complete solutions to all repair, refurbishment, modification and upgrading of Mobile Offshore drilling Units.

Shipbuilding With its comprehensive facilities, including two building berths, and a trained workforce, AHI is an established shipbuilder delivering high quality vessels at economical prices. AHI has the additional advantage of combining its first hand knowledge of vessel requirements in the Gulf with the expertise and technology of the Keppel Group. AHI has successfully built and delivered vessels such as: • Self propelled, self elevating service vessels • Tug boats • Oil, water and deck cargo barges • Oil skimming pontoons • Multi-purpose work barges • Split hopper barges

Afloat and Anchorage Repairs Arab Eagle Engineering LLC (AEME) in Dubai is the afloat repair Division of AHI. Based in the Dubai Shipdocking Yard in Al Jadaf, Dubai, AEME is able to mobilise repair terms to any Port or Anchorage in the UAE at short notice. AEME provides the full range of shipcare service which includes: 1. Steel repairs 2. Engine and other Mechanical equipment 3. Electrical repairs, trouble shooting and rewinding 4. Blasting and painting 5. Piping renewals For vessels up to 115 meters calling Dubai with drydocking requirements, AEME also undertakes full docking repairs at the Dubai Shipdocking Yard. AEME represents CMR (Far East) for the UAE and can offer entire solutions to: 1. Switchboard and control systems repairs and installation 2. AUXITROL tank gauging system

Steel Fabrication and Engineering AHI operates one of the largest and best-equipped steel fabrication shop in the Gulf. The shop comprises a 9,000 square-metres (sqm) covered workshop and a 75,000 sqm open fabrication area, capable of producing up to 600 tonnes of fabricated steel each month. Manned by highly skilled technicians and committed to stringent quality control in line with international standards, AHI has earned the reputation of being a major fabrication yard in the region. Our track record includes: • Platforms, jackets, dolphins, piers • Barges, pontoons, floaters, buoys • Rolling and fabrication of pipes • Stacks, ducts, silos and kilns • Tanks, pressure vessels • Bridges and building structures • 16 wheeled Rubber Tyre Gantry (RTG) container cranes In addition to steel fabrication works, we can undertake a wide spectrum of engineering projects involving fabrication and erection of steel structures, mechanical/electrical installation and commissioning work for power stations, oil refineries and various types of onshore and offshore plants.
