Our expertise covers the total range, from CO2-based systems used for protecting huge engine rooms and enormous cargo holds to chemical-based systems consisting of one or more cylinders.
CO2 / Carbon Dioxide system (high and low pressure) An economical solution for effective protection against shipboard fi re hazards. Especially suitable for protecting engine rooms, pump rooms, switchboard rooms and cargo holds. The fire-extinguishing operation of CO2 is based on lowering the oxygen level.
Chemical gases Chemical gas works, in contrast to inert gases and CO2 gases, by extracting energy from a fire. This abstraction of heat from the fire is completed by using molecule magnification. Because of this chemical change of the gas, the gas is described as a chemical. The “chemical gases” include :FM200, HFC-227, HFC-23, HFC-125, NOVEC 1230 & HALON 1301.
Inert gases Inert extinguishing systems are 100% environmentally friendly and, at a discharge, pose no danger to persons. The fire-extinguishing operation of inert extinguishing systems is based on lowering the oxygen present in a secure space, thereby ensuring fire can no longer exist. The “inert gases” include: Nitrogen (IG-100), Argon (IG-01), Argonite, (IG-55) & Inergen (IG-541).
