Pediatrician Dr. Neela Sethi Young and private
equit y investor S haan S ethi sought to create a
medical apparel brand for the contemporary woman. In 2013, the sister/brother duo founded Jaanuu, meaning “sweetheart” in Hindi.
After personally experiencing how limiting her apparel options were, Dr. Neela wanted more for her fellow women. She wanted medical professionals
to be able to choose from a variety of unique, contemporary styles. She wanted to empower and
offer individuality, without sacrificing functionality.
When a woman steps into work every day, she should f eel confident. S he should beam with
positive energy that ’s transferred to her patients.
