PREPARATION The tools required for fitting are all readily available, off-the-shelf items: Manual mirrors: • Socket drive handle • 10 mm long-throat socket • Phillips head screw driver • Straight head screwdriver • Torque socket size T40 • Torque wrench

STEPS 1, 2 & 3 STEP 1 Roll both front windows completely down and then disconnect the vehicles battery. Read all instructions before proceeding to STEP 2. NOTE: If you are installing a manual mirror do not disconnect the battery.

STEP 2 Remove the screw from the sail inner trim panel, using a Phillips head screw driver.

WARNING: Do not try to remove the sail inner trim panel after you remove the screw, as it is still connected to the door trim.This panel will be removed in Step 7.

STEP 3 Remove the three screws using a Phillips head screw driver.

STEPS 4, 5, 6 & 7 STEP 4 Remove the door handle by removing the Torque screw located under the handle.You will need a Torque socket size T40 to remove this screw.

STEP 5 Remove door switch module by levering it upwards with a straight head screwdriver.

STEP 6 Remove all the connectors from the back of the switch module and put the switch module aside.

STEP 7 Using two hands pull up on the door inner trim panel to remove it.

WARNING: Make sure you gently remove the door lock tab, out from the door inner trim panel, before you pull the trim panel away from the door.

STEPS 8 & 9 STEP 8 Remove the harness from the mirror by unclipping the mirror connector.

NOTE: You will only have this harness if your original mirrors are electric. Undo the three nuts that hold the mirror to the door using a 10 mm socket. After all three nuts have been removed, locate the two white clips near the mirror connector that hold the mirror to the door. Holding the mirror in one hand, unclip the two white clips using a straight head screwdriver, and remove the mirror from the door.

NOTE: There is no need to remove the gasket from the door.

STEP 9 Remove the white plastic stud protector from the mirror. Fit the foam gasket supplied in the installation kit to the base of the new mirror.

Feed the red & yellow mirror loose wires into the connector door hole, then slide the mirror onto the door and attach it with the white clips on the mirror connector. NOTE:When clipping the mirror onto the door make sure you hold the red & yellow wires tight to avoid pinching on the sheet metal. NOTE:You will only have the red & yellow wires if you are installing an electric/heated with lights mirror variant. Attach the mirror to the door with the nuts supplied. Torque them up to 9NM using a torque wrench and a 10 mm socket.

NOTE: Repeat above steps for other door. Note: If you are installing a manual or electric with heat mirror, the installation is now complete, please proceed to step 24.

STEPS 10, 11 & 12 2 IN 1 LIGHT UPGRADE STEP 10 Remove the front door speaker by removing four Phillips head screws.

Note:This step is for the LH (driver’s side) only. Remove the top white clip only (revealed in STEP 11) to gain access under the insulation.

To remove the clip, first lever it up slightly with a straight head screw driver, then use long nose pliers to lever it out completely.

STEPS 13, 14 & 15 STEP 13 Remove the door side grommet at the vehicle body side only.

There are four clips under the grommet that need to be pressed down with a straight head screw driver. The clips are located in each corner of the grommet. The grommet also has the words “push” in each corner showing the location of the clips.

Push with screwdriver Once the grommet is loose from the vehicles body, remove the rubber boot cover. The rubber boot cover simply slides off the housing.

STEP 14 Feed the fish wire (coat hanger) through the speaker hole and into the convoluted tube of the door side grommet.

STEP 15 Using electrical tape,attach the yellow and red extension wires to the fish wire (coat hanger) at the vehicle body end.Then pull the fish wire (coat hanger) back through the convoluted grommet and out through the speaker opening in the door. NOTE: Use 10ft of yellow extension wire on the LH (driver’s) side and 15ft of yellow extension wire on the RH (passenger’s) side. NOTE: Use 10ft of red extension wire on the LH (driver’s) side and 15ft of red extension wire on the RH (passengers) side.

STEP 16 STEP 16 Feed the yellow & red extension wires into the hole in the vehicles door side grommet housing.

LH (driver’s side) mirror only: Feed the yellow & red extension wires into the vehicles body, through the hole where the door side grommet attaches to the vehicle and out through the insulation.

RH (passenger’s side) mirror only: Note: Do not continue with the RH mirror now – continue with the next steps first. Tape the yellow & red extension wires to the fish wire (coat hanger) approximately 1 inch down from the end of the fish wire.Then insert the fish wire into the hole where the door side grommet is located, and poke the fish wire through the insulation to the inside of the vehicle. Untape the fish wire from the extension wires, and then route the yellow & red extension wires under the dash up to where the LH (driver’s side) wires are located.

STEPS 17, 18 & 19 STEP 17 Feed the other end of the yellow & red extension wires up into the door.

Attach the yellow extension wire to the loose yellow wire at the mirror connector. Attach the red extension wire to the loose red wire at the mirror connector.

STEP 18 Feed the yellow & red extension wires up into the dash and tape them to the hood release cable.

NOTE: Repeat Steps 10 to 18 for the other door.

STEP 19 Unclip the connector assembly using a straight head screw driver,to gain access to the hood release grommet. This connector assembly can be found to the left of the gear shift cable, under the driver’s side dash.

STEPS 20, 21 & 22 STEP 20 Using electrical tape attach the 2 yellow & 2 red extension wires to the fish wire (coat hanger) that are currently situated under the driver’s side dash. NOTE: Identify the end of the LH (driver’s side) red extension wire with a permanent marker.

Feed the fish wire (coat hanger) through the hood release cable grommet and into the engine compartment.

NOTE:The hood release cable grommet can be found behind the Connector Assembly from Step 19. Fish wire

STEP 21 Pull the fish wire (coat hanger) through to the inside of the engine compartment. Once the 2 yellow & 2 red extension wires are pulled through into the engine compartment, untape the fish wire from the wires. Fish wire

STEP 22 Loosen the fuse panel in the engine compartment by removing the Phillips head screw and the 13 mm bolt. NOTE:There will be a grommet under the Phillips head screw.This grommet needs to be removed. Then slide the entire fuse panel towards the engine (approx 1⁄2 inch) to disengage the lock pins, then pull the fuse panel towards the front of the vehicle to release it.

STEPS 23 & 24 STEP 23 Tilt the fuse panel upside down to gain access to the wires.

Feed the 2 yellow & 2 red extension wires (from Step 21) along side of the engine bay towards the fuse panel. Attach both of the yellow wires to the black with orange trace wire.This wire can be found going into connector B. Attach the LH (driver’s side) red extension wire to the dark green with red trace wire.This wire can be found going into connector A. Attach the RH (passenger’s side) red extension wire to the light green with orange trace wire.This wire can be found going into connector A.

STEP 24 Your installation is now complete. Reverse the above steps to re-assemble your vehicle.
