The pupils will design each side of their dice and personalise their product in their own unique fashion to suit a selected client while learning in more detail the background to fabrics and working with fabric.

Product Design – Storage Box

This project is an upcycling project were the pupils will be taught the importance of sustainability and recycling material to help create a new product. Pupils will use a range of tools and equipment in the workshop and will be taught the significance of measuring and marking to scale. The final storage box will be personalised on the lid using the laser cutter to give the product a unique look.

CAD – Grand Designs

This project is a unit based around the use of Google Sketchup. The pupils are given an architectural brief and are to design and create a CAD model for a new modern house of the future. The pupils present their finished Grand Designs at the end of the unit to the rest of the class and the winning design will be rewarded.

Product Design – Moodlight
