Although style is an important consideration when choosing the right fire, there are a number of other factors that you need to be aware of when making your decision. For example, you need to know what type of chimney or flue you have, the depth of the recess into which the fire will be fitted and whether you require gas or electric. To ensure you choose the right type of fire, simply match the type of flue or chimney from your home to the relevant diagram below. Royal Cozyfires recommend that you employ a CORGI registered installer if you are having a gas appliance installed.

Hotbox Designed for use with Class I and Class II flues, this highly efficient deep bed fire requires no existing fire back as it comes complete with integral box. If the part of your chimney normally visible through the fire is in poor condition, the integral box covers it over, and enables the fire to deliver a glorious 3.3kW of radiant heat. Taper Range The perfect alternative to a real fire with all the convenience and controllable benefits of gas. Available as a standard 16” inset, the Taper Range also comes in a raised 16” inset and a raised 18” inset. The raised bed inset taper allows for the increased height of traditional cast fire front bars, allowing you to enjoy a completely authentic Victorian-style fire, down to the finest detail.
