2. Search for Axis 360. Follow the prompts to download and tap Open when the download is complete.

3. You will see a tutorial on how to use the app. You can read the tutorial now or tap Skip to find your library or school now when you are ready.

4. Type Joliet Public Library and tap search. Tap Joliet Public Library to select this as your Library.

5. Enter your full Joliet Library card number and PIN (last four numbers of your card number). Tap Login.

6. Now you are ready to find a book. There are several ways to search for content. You can type a title or author in the search box or browse any of the featured categories. You can also tap on the three dots and then Browse library to view titles by subject.

7. Tap on the book you wish to check out or place on hold. The format is noted in the upper right hand corner of the jacket. eAudiobook

8. Tap Checkout and then Checkout again to confirm and continue.

9. If the book doesn’t automatically open, you can tap on Read Now to open the book. You will be able access book(s) you have checked out at any time by tapping opening the Axis 360 app and tapping the books icon to open My Stuff. The book will automatically return at the end of the lending period. If you wish to return the book early, tap on the book from My Stuff. Tap Return and then Yes to confirm you wish to return the book early.

PinDigital eBooks & eAudiobooks 10. Open the Play Store on your device.

2. Search for OverDrive. Follow the prompts and tap Open when it has completed downloading.

3. Tap Sign up to register for an OverDrive account. Fill out the required fields and tap Sign up.

4. Tap the OverDrive icon and then Add a library.

5. Type Joliet Public Library and tap Search. Select either Joliet Public Library or Joliet Public Library – Black Road Branch. Either one will take you to the same digital book site.

6. Tap the Star icon to bookmark PinDigital (Pinnacle Digital Consortium) as your Library. Tap Pinnacle Digital Consortium to search for digital books.

7. Sign in with your Joliet Library card to see all the titles available to you. There are several ways to find books. You can browse the collection by tapping New eBooks or New eAudio or tap the Search icon and type in a title, author, or keyword. Additionally, you can tap Advanced Search for more search options and filters.

8. The format is indicated by the icon in the upper right hand corner of the book jacket. If the icon is grayed out, there are no copies available and you can place it on hold. If it is solid gray, that means there is a copy available right now to check out. eAudio Copy NOT available to check out

9. Once you have located a book to check out, tap the book jacket and then tap Borrow. Then tap Download, EPUB eBook (or MP3 Audiobook for eAudio), and Confirm & Download.

10. The book will download to the OverDrive app. To toggle to your bookshelf, tap the OverDrive icon and Bookshelf. Tap on your book to open it and begin reading. Open the OverDrive app at any time to read books you have downloaded or to search for more books.

TIP: The book will automatically expire after the lending period ends. You don’t need to worry about it returning it. However, if you wish to return the book prior to the expiration date, hold down on the book until a menu pops open. Tap on Return to return the book early.

Zinio eMagazines 1. Open your web browser and go to http://www.rbdigital.com/jolietil. Tap Create New Account.

2. Enter your full Joliet Library card number and tap Next. Fill in all the required fields and tap Create Account.

3. Now that you have created your account, you can browse, search and check out eMagazines. You can search by magazine title, select from a genre, or simply browse each page of eMagazines.

4. Once you have identified a magazine you would like to check out, tap +Checkout Now icon in the lower right corner of the magazine cover. You can tap Start Reading to stream or click Android to download the app for offline reading.

5. You will be directed to the Play Store to download the Free app. Make sure the app you download is Zinio for Libraries (not Zinio.com). Follow the prompts to install the app

6. Tap Login. Select United States, Illinois, and Joliet Public Library. Enter your email address and password from the Zinio account you created and tap Log In.

7. Any magazines you check out sync with your Library Zinio account. If your magazine isn’t displaying, swipe down to refresh the screen. Once you see your magazine, tap the Cloud with downward arrow icon to download.

8. Once the magazine is downloaded, you can enjoy it offline through the app at any time. To remove a magazine from your device, tap Edit, the X icon, and Done.
