Religious Education Last Day to register for RCIC and First Communion is Sunday, October 23. As a reminder that if your child will be doing their First Communion this year that a copy of his/her Baptism Certificate is needed even if they did their Baptism at Immaculate Conception. There will be a meeting on Sunday, November 6, right after the 8:00 am for all parents of children who will be receiving the sacrament of First Communion. Religious Education @ ICC will be from 9:30 am to 10:30 am

2011 Idaho Catholic Appeal Campaign—Update Thank you for your gift to the 2011 Idaho Catholic Appeal. Our 2011 parish goal is $21,434.00. We have reached our goal as of 10/18/2011, thank you to the 94 families who helped us reach our goal. May God continue to bless you and thank you for your generosity. All Saints & All Souls Day November 1, is All Saints day a Holy Day of Obligation. There will be a 6pm mass in English and a 7:30 pm mass in Spanish presided by Father Mauricio Medina, in Father Jorge’s absence.

Father Jorge’s Vacation When a Priest celebrates 25 years of Priesthood, the Diocese of Boise gives them a special gift of vacation. Father Jorge has chosen to go to Rome for this gift of time. Father will be gone Monday, October 17 through November 4th. We will have coverage as follows: October 29 & 30: Father Medina Communion Service: October 27, 28 November 3 and 4 Upcoming Meetings Pastoral Council Tuesday, Nov. 8, at 6:00 pm at the office. La Campaña Católica del Diezmo comenzó el domingo, 20 de marzo, del 2011. La diócesis asigno como meta a la parroquia de Inmaculada Concepción la cantidad de $21,434 para este año. Hemos recibido 94 contribuciones aportando un total de $21,434. ¡Gracias a todos aquellos que han dando! Idaho Catholic Register (Periódico Catolico de la Diocesis) Si tu recibes el periódico Catolico de la Diocesis, debes pagar esta suse ribcion y de esta manera colaboras con este importante medio de información. El costo por el ano es de $17.00. Puedes tomar un sobre y marearlo con este prosito. Si tu no lo have la parroquia esta obligada a pagar por ti y la cuenta total es de $2,006.00. Parish and Community News Covenant of Love Inviting all married and engaged couples Covenant of Love is a monthly marriage ministry to strengthen and enrich marriages in our parishes. Each month we will learn something new that we can apply to our marriages and we’ll have some time to connect with our spouse on how we can implement it. Saint Catherine's News Early Arrivals Please do not go into the Social Hall before 9:45 am on Sunday’s while CCD classes are being held. Thank You. IT IS TIME FOR A NEW CHURCH DIRECTORY The first photography session will be Nov. 3rd, 4th, 5th at Immaculate Conception. If anyone would like to sign-up, please contact the office during business hours, 543-5136. Just for taking your photo you will receive a complementary 8 x 10 photo. Two days have also been assigned to St. Catharine's, in the Spring 2012. Altar Server Training Parents, please encourage the youngster in your home to take part in the mass as an Altar Server. An Altar Server must have had their First Communion. Alter Server training will be held on Sunday, October 23rd after mass. Teach your child that it is important for them to be part of the ministry of the church. ICA. It is not too late to donate to the Idaho Catholic Appeal (ICA). Think about your role in the church. Could you do more? The ICA is one way to do that. Thursday Mass Father Garcia will be on a trip to Rome during the last two weeks in October and first week of November. During his time we will have Adoration followed by a Communion Service on Thursday, 10/27 and 11/3. Please join us for these services. K of C The Buhl/Hagerman Council will hold a meeting at St. Catherine’s on Nov. 9 at 8pm.

Life Teen Now is the time to get the teenager in your family involved with the Life Teen Program. The sessions are held at Immaculate Conception Church in Buhl. Transportation can be provided. See Terry Chapman. PotLuck We will be holding our monthly Pot Luck Lunches on the Third (3rd) Sunday of each month. Bring something delicious. If you can’t bring something then bring yourself and enjoy the company and a good meal. Remembering our Deceased Loved Ones. All Souls Day occurs in November. This day reminds us of our deceased loved ones. This year we would like to remember our loved ones who have passed away every Sunday in November. We would like you to write the names of those who you wish to include in our prayers in a book that will be available in the vestibule of the church. This book will be carried in the Entrance Procession and placed near the altar at each mass. The souls recorded in the book will be remembered during the mass. Clean-Up Day. Our church needs your help to get it ready for the new church year. We are planning a clean -up party the morning of Saturday, November 12th. Our goal is to clean the inside of the buildings and prepare the flower beds for winter. To make this a true party, we will have barbequed hot dogs, or other meat that you might bring, weather permitting. Let’s keep St. Catherine’s looking good. We will be looking for you.
