21 Days of Prayer & Fasting January 12th -1st February. The All Saints Goodmayes Church community will unite for 21 days of seeking God through prayer and fasting. We are seeking a powerful movement of God for breakthroughs and miracles to reach hundreds in Goodmayes with the life-giving message found in the Gospel Jesus Christ. Also during these 21 days we will gather together daily in our church as a community to pray. Please join us daily for prayer meetings 7:30pm- 9:30pm for an incredible time of calling out to our great and awesome God. Some Help to Make the Most of Fasting- Tips Biblical fasting is voluntarily giving up something that our mind and flesh desire in order to refocus ourselves on God. It is a practical step every Follower of Jesus can do to draw near to the grace He wants to pour out on us. There are two key parts to fasting: •We give something up for a period of time–Food, Electronics, Social Media, •We gain something greater for eternity – A closer walk with God Why Fast? Simply put: To draw closer to God. Prayer and fasting go together; as we humble ourselves with fasting we speak to God in prayer. And as we draw near to God His Word says that He will draw near to us (James 4:8). Plus Jesus just assumed we would fast as we seek to grow in our relationship with God (Matthew 6:16-18). Preparing to Fast Spiritually – Set your heart right before the Lord. Do not think of fasting as earning points with God. Fasting is actually a humbling experience and God shows up in powerful ways when we simply humble ourselves through fasting. Physically – If you have never fasted from food or not in a long time, be wise. Options are listed below. Start slow and build up your spiritual strength over time. If you have health issues, skip only one meal or even just do an Electronics & Social Media fast until you can consult a doctor. Emotionally – Do not underestimate the power of the devil and the flesh to wage war against you. The devil hates when we seek to draw near to God and will tempt you to quit. Fasting is not easy, but as you draw near to God He will give you the strength to overcome.

2

Types of Fasts Food Fast: Partial Fast – Skip one meal or one food/drink (chocolate, coffee, soda, etc.) for a period of time. Juice Fast – Drink only water, fruit and/or vegetable juice for a period of time. Water Fast – Drink only water for a period of time. Electronics Fast: Give up things that would be a sacrifice for a period of time. This includes TV, DVDs, and Video Games for an extended period of time. Social Networking Fast: Give up all social networking including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for an extended period of time and/or give up all texting for an extended period of time. Keys to a Successful Fast 1. Determine what you are fasting for. Do you need a breakthrough; an answer to prayer? To reconnect to God? Expect God to show up as you seek Him. 2. Determine the type of fast/length of time and make a commitment. Combine all three Types of Fasts to free yourself up for God. 3. Only tell people who need to know about your fast. It is tempting to brag about it 4. Partner with someone. The Bible reminds us that two are better than one and mutual encouragement can help in fighting the temptation of the devil and flesh to quit. 5. Go slow on eliminating caffeine. Unless the Holy Spirit convicts you to go cold turkey, it is best to start with a partial fast and work up your stamina and eliminate any addiction. 6. Do not overindulge to end your fast. Maintain the spiritual discipline you started with your fast. Most often breakthroughs come after, not during your fast. The Goal The goal of fasting is to humble yourself and spend the time you saved with Him. He’s waiting and ready to embrace you as you come to Him in prayer and fasting. Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what you are to remove from your life these next 21 days in order to grow closer to the God who loves you.

What Can I Do During the 21 Days? 3

Now you find yourself asking, what can I do during this season of fasting and prayer? Consider the following suggestion while simultaneously asking the Lord to direct you and speak to you concerning what He would have you do. Talk it over with your family and then commit yourselves to partnering with us during these next 21 days. Ask God to direct you in choosing the way you can fast during these 21 days. -Types of fasts to consider:  Full Fast: Drink liquids only. Consult your doctor first. 

Daniel Fast: Eat only vegetables, fruit, water and juice (minimal amount of carbohydrates).

Partial Fast: Not eating one or two meals on a specific day or abstaining from certain kinds of food.

All-day Food Fast: Abstaining from food one day or multiple days per week.

Activity/Media Fast: Forgoing a time-consuming activity such as entertainment, hobbies, television, internet, sports, etc…

A Daniel Fast We find in the Old Testament book of Daniel several key principles that will aid your understanding of what we are actually attempting to do in and through these twenty-one days of fasting. However, before we address these specific principles it is essential we acknowledge two statements. First, Daniel’s season of fasting had to do with much more than just what he did or didn't eat. Second, the context of his experience of prayer and fasting serves as a model for us as we attempt to implement these principles in our 21st Century context. Seven Steps in a Daniel Fast

4

Step One: Be Specific Why are we fasting? We are agreeing with God to fulfil His word and will in our lives, our world, United Kingdom the Nations we represent, for a great spiritual awakening (revival). We are praying for our unsaved friends and family to come to a vital relationship with Jesus Christ. Step Two: Fast as a Spiritual Commitment The Daniel Fast involves a spiritual commitment to God. “But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself…” (Daniel 1:8) Step Three: Reflect Inner Desire by Outer Discipline Not only did Daniel desire to not defile himself, but he did so by disciplining himself to not eat the king’s meat, nor drink his wine (1:8) He disciplined himself to making proper decisions which facilitated his inner desires. Step Four: Make a Statement of Faith to Others Daniel was making a statement of faith when he asked for only vegetables to eat and water to drink, then he dared the overseer to compare his appearance with the young men who ate the king’s food. (1:9-15) Step Five: Leave the Results to God When Daniel dared the overseer he was willing to allow the overseer to deal with him as he saw fit. Daniel was willing to fast in faith, yet willingly left the results up to God (1:13). His faith would prove to be effective in this matter. Step Six: Understand God’s Activity As Daniel fasted God gave him knowledge, skill in learning, and understanding of visions and dreams (1:17). Fasting opens our hearts and minds to receive what God is saying and perceive what God is doing. Step Seven: Persevere; the Answer is coming. The first day Daniel prayed and fasted, his words had been heard in heaven but it took twenty-one days for the answer to come (10:12-14). Persevere in spite of the spiritual battles in heavenly places.

17. To share our abundance with others. (Isaiah 58:6-7) What is the purpose of a fast? To bring understanding, clarity and focus to what God has for you. God has a plan for you - Jeremiah 29:11. As we turn the chapter on a New Year we come together as the body of Christ to seek God in order to draw closer to Him and to seek His direction for us in 2015. He has ordered your life from beginning to end – whom you should marry, what you should do, and where you are supposed to go. He knows your every step. But we lose step every now and then and this fast will help to bring back in focus the VISION God has for you. God is a God of break-through. Through a 21 day Daniel fast, among many other benefits, including a healthier system, God will give you understanding of the vision He has given to you. What is the Daniel Fast? The Daniel Fast is a 21 day fast of only vegetables, fruit and water. No bread, no pasta, no meat. For more information on the Daniel Fast, pick up a Daniel Fast Brochure on the Information Tables at the back. How do you get started? What do you do from day to day? Use this "21 days of prayer & fasting journal" for a day by day guide and prayer focus. Keeping a journal will also help you stay intentional and remember the word God speaks to you. We are excited about the break-through God has in-store for you in 2015!

Day 1 – Getting Started I commit to fast from (date) ___________ to (date) ___________. Habakkuk 2:2-3 - Write the vision and make it plain on tablets…though it tarries (may take time), wait for it. 7

 

What are your own personal reasons for fasting? Do you desire sensitivity to the things of God?

_______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ PRAYER FOCUS FOR DAY 1: Salvation of Souls 2 Corinthians 6:2 – I tell you, now is the time of God’s favour, now is the day of salvation. My spiritual “hit list” - Unsaved family members and friends to target in prayer during this fast. (Write their names in the spaces below) _________________________ _________________________ _________________________ _________________________ _________________________ _________________________ _________________________ _________________________ _________________________ _________________________ _________________________ _________________________

DAY 2: HUNGERING FOR LIVING BREAD On your second day of fasting, remember:  Pray and stay in God’s Word.  Rest to conserve your energy.  The second and third days are the most challenging.  Your body starts burning fat for energy, a process called “ketosis” Thoughts for your journal:  Do you need a deeper, more intimate and more powerful relationship with the Lord? 9

 Do you need a fresh encounter with God? _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ PRAYER FOCUS FOR DAY 2: Ministers and Pastoral workers. Ministers or Pastors need prayer. Sometimes the weight of ministry can get so overwhelming that the joy, freshness and power of the calling can be forgotten. The enemy will always want to attack the “Head”. Pastors are the Shepherds or Head of the congregation and placed into that position by God. During this fast, use the prayer points to pray for our Ministers /Pastors and their family:  Protection  Restored joy  Rest and Freshness  Strength and Holy Spirit power  Provision and financial abundance  Anointing  Vision and direction from God  Uncommon Favour  Blessings that exceed abundance Read Hebrews 13:20-21

DAY 3: GETTING PAST YOUR QUITTING POINT On your third day of fasting, remember:  Pray for encouragement – Encourage yourself.  Recognize that this day can be one of the toughest days.  You may begin to notice weight loss

10

Thoughts for your journal:  What is the Holy Spirit showing you about endurance?  What dreams are in your heart that only God can make possible? _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ PRAYER FOCUS FOR DAY 3: DIRECTION, GUIDANCE, DREAMS AND VISIONS During this fast, seek God for direction and guidance in your life. Vision comes from God to help you and other people and to establish His kingdom in the earth. This is not to be confused with ambition, which comes from the flesh and is self-seeking). There are six stages of a vision: 1. I thought it – God gives you the vision 2. I caught it– you start to get excited about the vision 3. I bought it–you consider the cost of the vision and pay the price. 4. I sought it – nobody can talk you out of it. 5. I got it–you actually possess the dream and are glad you paid the price to get it. 6. I taught it – you pass it on to the next generation Never settle for less than God’s best for your life. What vision has God given you? Write it down and focus on it during the fast. (Read - Habakkuk 2:2-3) _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________

READ PSALMS 37:23

DAY 4: TARGET YOUR PRAYERS On your fourth day of fasting, remember:  Listen as you pray.  Record His response to your prayers.  You begin to settle into the fast. Thoughts for your journal:  Is there any healing that you need physically?  What are the needs in your family right now? _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ PRAYER FOCUS DAY 4: INTERCESSORS You are a spiritual “gatekeeper” in your home, your family and your city. Your intercessory prayers for these area help maintain a wall of protection against demonic attack. Interceding is intervening, or stepping in on behalf of another. Your prayers can go into bars, crack houses, your child’s school, your spouse’s office. Spend today focusing on your own intercessory prayer life, praying for other intercessors and praying that God would raise up more intercessors. We need prayers that will outlive our generation! Ephesians 6:28 – And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and request. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. INTERCESSORY TARGETS:  My family, my friends, my co-workers  My city, my state, my country 12

Spiritual and Governmental leaders.

DAY 5: FASTING AND PRAYING On your fifth day of fasting, remember:  Journal your journey  Concentrate on your own personal prayer time and prayer place.  Headaches and cravings begin to subside.  Bad breath becomes apparent as you body detoxifies. Thoughts for your journal:  Why do you think fasting is important in order to achieve your greatest breakthrough?  Jesus fasted, and He intimately related to His Father in heaven. How has this fast, so far, helped you to relate to your heavenly Father? _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ PRAYER FOCUS DAY 5: HEALTH AND HEALING Take time today to thank God that Jesus is your healer. If there is sickness in your body or mind, or in the body or mind of a loved one, begin to speak forth health and healing in Jesus’ name. Begin to declare: “By His stripes I am healed…With long life You will satisfy me and my family and show me Your salvation.” (See Isaiah 53:5; Psalm 91:16) Just begin to speak it out loud because you reap what you speak. By your words and prayers, release health and healing over your body, your family, your church and your city. May the name Jehovah-Rapha, the healing One, be proclaimed in this generation! Specific healing targets:

13

_______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ Read Malachi 4:2 – But to you who fear My name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings. DAY 6: GOD DELIGHTS IN RENEWAL On your sixth day of fasting, remember:  Concentrate on prolonged times of meditation and listening.  Your senses (Smell, touch, and hearing) will begin to heighten.  Weight loss and detoxification continue. Thoughts for your journal:  How is experiencing fasting as a private discipline bringing you closer to God?  Has God revealed anything to you since your fast began? _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _________________________________ PRAYER FOCUS DAY 6: BREAKING ADDICTIONS You cannot enjoy the fullness of life in Christ when you are still a slave, bound by addictions. Sexual and chemical addictions like alcohol and drugs, nicotine, overeating, antidepressants, insomnia and so on can be broken through the discipline of fasting. If there are addictions in your life, list them below and ask God to give you grace during this fast to walk away free of those chains! Perhaps there is a family member or loved one suffering with addiction. Write down his or her name to target for prayer during this time: John 8:36 – So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ 14

_______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ DAY 7: FEED ON THE WORD Matthew 5:6 – Jesus said “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled” On your seventh days of fasting, remember:  Water needs to be with you at all times  Rest and relax as much as possible.  Continue to meditate and listen for the voice of God. Thoughts for your journal:  

How are you resisting the temptation of hunger? How can resisting hunger by focusing on the Lord relate to avoiding other temptations in your life? _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ PRAYER FOCUS DAY 7: FINANCES AND PROSPERITY God wants us to prosper. In order to reap a harvest you must sow. If you sow the unusual, you will release an unusual harvest back into your life. Expect financial miracles this year! See Him for blessings and prosperity that can be used to advance and expand His kingdom and bless others. You take care of the little things and God will handle the big things. Don’t worry about the money; just do what God tells you to do. He is the God of provision. Don’t try and understand it – READ PROVERBS 3:6 – Lean not on your own understanding but in all ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.

15

Specify your financial needs below and pray for this today: _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ DAY 8: WALK WITH GOD On your eighth day of fasting, remember:  Pray and stay in God’s Word  You begin to discover what is known as the “sweet spot” – a place you hit that will be as though you slipped through the veil and walked right into the holy of holies. Thoughts for your journal:  Reflect on how there is great power and supernatural blessing that await you as you forsake all flesh for the chance to know the Saviour and to hear his voice. _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ PRAYER FOCUS DAY 8: MARRIAGE Marriage is under attack by the enemy in this country! Marriage takes 3 people. God must be the centre of the husband and wife. Today if you are married, cover your spouse and your marriage with prayer. You may need restoration in your marriage or forgiveness, whatever it is, God is only waiting for you to ask. Also remember to pray for others in your family and circle of friends who are married. If you are not married, you too can pray for others in your family and circle of friends who are married. A single person could also use this day to target prayer for the spouse that God is preparing for them. Ask for Him to bring you His utmost choice for your life and commit to settle for nothing less. Prayer thoughts for Marriage _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ 16

_______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ Read Ephesians 5:33- Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband DAY 9: IS HE SPEAKING TO YOU? On your ninth day of fasting, remember:  Maintain your journal writing down the things you believe that God is speaking to you.  Continue to meditate on the things of God and listen for his voice.  Mints will keep your breath fresh Thoughts for your journal:  Think about the battle that is happening between the carnal man or your flesh and the spirit.  How has God’s presence become clearer through this experience? _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ Read Psalms 128:5-6 PRAYER FOCUS DAY 9: FAMILY Family is one of the most important things to God’s heart. No matter where you go, you are not by yourself. You carry with you a part of the past generation and the future generations. “Every deed has a seed” In other words the deeds you choose to do in this lifetime create a seed for future generations. The man or woman on a trip and indulges in sinful activities in secret away from home is not just affecting themselves f, but he is also sowing seeds for generations to come. Similarly if that same person chooses instead to worship God in their privacy away from home, seeds of worship and faith are being sown into future generations. 17

Today pray for those in your family and those yet to come. Break generational curses and establish blessings. Lay a foundation for the next generation. Prayer targets for the family today: _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________

DAY 10: EVERY ASSIGNMENT HAS A BIRTHPLACE God has a reason for everything that He wants us to walk-through. Every assignment he gives us, he gives us for a reason. God makes all things work together for our good. Sometimes we don’t understand the “why” of our assignment.  Noah didn’t understand why he was being told to build an Ark.  Moses didn’t understand why he and his speech impediment had been called to lead the captives out of Egypt.  Job didn’t understand why God was allowing him to go through the massive trials that he was living through. The list in the bible goes on and on. But we are given assignments and God has His reasons for those assignments in our lives. What is He assigning to you? What is He asking you to do?

18

_______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ On your tenth day remember:  Pray and stay in God’s Word  Hunger pangs continue, but they do not control you.  You are almost Halfway [½] way through PRAYER FOCUS DAY 10: PROTECTION The enemy wants you to fail. But God wants you to succeed. He is our El Shaddai, our protection. Read Exodus 19: 4-5, Psalms 61:3-5, Isaiah 66:13 and Proverbs 18:10 What is God saying to you today about His protection? _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________

DAY 11: FASTING TRULY HUMBLES YOU King David said “I humbled myself with fasting” (Ps.35:13 see also Ezra 8:21) Fasting is wearisome. It is difficult to deprive yourself from food. However because Jesus fasted and endured more than we could ever imagine, He can sympathize with us and he understands.

19

In Hebrews 4:15 is says: “for we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet with sin.”God provides strength for us to overcome temptation in Hebrews 4:16 “Let us come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”These are promises that we can stand on. God honours that we are humbling ourselves before him On your eleventh day of fasting remember:  Rest and relax as much as possible  Go to your prayer place at your prayer time.  The Lord’s presence becomes more apparent. Thoughts for your Journal:  Humility is a discipline and not something that just comes naturally. Fasting places one truly in the hand of God, dependent upon Him for spiritual nourishment in the absence of physical nourishment. Journal how this experience has humbled you and made you trust God more. _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ PRAYER FOCUS DAY 11: THE LORD’S FAVOUR Grasp the concept of God’s favour. One definition describes favour as an indulgence, privilege, partiality, support, a gift. Imagine that God wants to shower you with His favour!! So whatever you are believing God for, ask Him for his favour over that thing. He loves to give the greatest gifts. His favour is one of them. Places I am experiencing the favour of the Lord: _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ 20

_______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ Read Psalms 50:14-15 and 2 Corinthians 6:2 DAY 12: THE HOLY SPIRIT IS USING YOUR FAST The Holy Spirit is using your fast to reveal your true spiritual condition, resulting in brokenness, repentance and a transformed life. To Consecrate means to set apart. Sanctify means the process of becoming holy in our daily life. We are consecrating our self during this fast which is allowing the Holy Spirit to sanctify us or make us more like Jesus in what we do, what we think, and in what we desire. The Holy Spirit also wants to shine a light on those dark places in our spirit that need to be exposed and dealt with. Fasting helps us to discern between serving the flesh and serving the spirit. On your twelfth day of fasting remember:  Journal your daily thoughts  Continue to focus on God  Hunger is still an issue, but stay focused. Thoughts for your journal:  What has God revealed to you personally?  Reflect on what it means to present your body as a living sacrifice through you time of fasting. _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ PRAYER FOCUS DAY 12: RIGHT RELATIONSHIPS AND KINGDOM CONNECTIONS People can be used in our lives as blessing of God or as tools of the enemy. You have to learn to “discern” the difference between the two. “Flesh people” want to tear you down, but “faith people” want to build you up and help you unlock you potential. 21

Pray that God puts the right people in your path for every aspect of life. List below the people who you know are “faith people” in your life Pray for them and pray that God will put more of them in your life. _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ Read John 10: 27 – My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

DAY 13: HOLD ON TO THE PROMISE God rewards those who diligently seek Him, which means He has already laid up rewards for you in heaven. God wants you to hold on to His promises. His promises are Yes and Amen. On your thirteenth day of fasting remember:  Keep water with you at all times  Continue to meditate on the Lord and listen for His voice  Cravings may return but you have the power to overcome them. Thoughts for your journal:  What are the various ways you can experience guidance from God?  Reflect on how you can resist more temptation in these next days as the hunger pangs continue. _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________

22

PRAYER FOCUS DAY 13: BODY OF CHRIST Christians all over the world need prayer. Christians are under attack in every corner of the world. We must bind together and stand in agreement for one another. Some Christians are suffering in their health, some are being persecuted for their faith, some are struggling to hold on to their faith and the enemy loves to pick on the weakest. Pray for your brothers and sisters in Christ. They are praying for you! Prayer targets within body of Christ: (Don’t forget missionary’s around the world!) _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ Read Corinthians 12:24-26 – But God composed the body, having given greater honour to that part which lacks it, that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

DAY 14: MAGNIFYING YOUR WORSHIP When you worship, you magnify God. Your enemies or circumstances may seem to be so large and so powerful that they are all you can see. But when you worship, you not only magnify God, but you minimize the size and power of everything else around you.

23

Worship is an attitude of surrender, of praise, of adoration for who God is. True worship comes from our heart and feeds God and satisfies Him. It is something he desires—and deserves. On your fourteenth day of fasting remember:  Listen to your favourite worship CD’s  Focus on your meditation and listening for God’s still, small voice  Weight loss continues. Thoughts for your journal:  Praise God for bringing you this far, and thank him for His steadfast presence. _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ PRAYER FOCUS DAY 14: DISCERNMENT Discernment – the ability to judge rightly. When you pray for wisdom, pray also for discernment to know when something if from God or from self. Hebrews 4:12 - For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart Ask God to increase your discernment of people, situations and more. Prayer thoughts: _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ 24

Read 1 John 4:1

DAY 15: RENEWAL If you let it, your flesh will take over and rule your life. But when you let the peace of God reign in your life you can experience renewal or spiritual awakening every single day!

On your fifteenth day of fasting, remember:  Stay hydrated  Be sure to listen to God as you pray.  You become mentally aware of the Lord’s presence all around you. Thoughts for your journal:  Reflect on how worship and obedience have provided you with the opportunity for God to reveal Himself and His purposes to you, his special servant.  Write down the details that were a concern in the beginning of the fast that no longer seem of great concern. _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ PRAYER FOCUS DAY 15: REVEALING GIFTINGS (PERSONAL AND SPIRITUAL) God has given you unique and special divine enablements or gifts. Are you using them to glorify Him and advance His kingdom? What are your gifts? List them below and/or ask God to show you what giftings he has placed within you.

Day 16: PUREST WORSHIP Fasting is a form of worship. Worship is offering your body to God as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God (Romans 12:1) it will humble you, remind you of your dependency on God and bring you back to your first love. Heaviness drains worship out of your life. God desires our praise more than our mere church attendance. Praise pushed back the enemy! On your sixteenth day of fasting, remember:  Observe your prayer time and prayer place  Reflect on your fast and how it is helping you to grow spiritually.  Your senses become more sensitive to your surroundings and the voice of God Thoughts for your journal:  Remember to stay the course. Write out your thoughts on how you can continue to present you body as a living sacrifice, and see if the Lord does not open up the windows of heaven to you and shower you with His presence.  Fasting is a form of worship that will humble you. Remind yourself of your dependency on God _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ 26

_______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ PRAYER FOCUS DAY 16: PERSONAL MINISTRY Pray and seek God about his purpose and plan for your life. What do you think is your ministry unto him? _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ Matthew 16:24 – Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.”

DAY 17: NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD Hebrews 11:1 – Now faith is the substance of all things hoped for the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:6 – Without faith it is impossible to please him; for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that he rewards those who diligently seek Him. God makes the impossible possible, but only when we stand firm in our faith. We have to trust him blindly, without proof. With only a tiny bit of faith, like a mustard seed, we can move mountains and nothing shall be impossible. God shows up with His miracles when we show up with our faith. On your seventeenth day of the fasting, remember:  Listen to worship music for inspiration and support. 27

 Reflect on your fast and how it is helping you to grow spiritually.  Cravings are apparent, but we can overcome them. Thoughts for your journal:  Reflect on those situations from God’s Word that seemed impossible but for the power of God.  What situations in your life seem impossible and need God’s touch? _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ PRAYER FOCUS DAY 17: MENTORS AND DISCIPLESHIP Who is mentoring you? Who are you mentoring? Jesus mentored 12 disciples. It was then the assignment of the disciples to mentor other disciples. The great commission in Matthew 28:18: Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” 18

Are you placing yourself under a spiritual authority and mentor? Are you sharing what you are learning with someone else? _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ Read Ephesians 4:11-13

DAY 18: GOD IS YOUR ROCK God doesn’t want you to worry. He wants to be in control of your life so that he can gently guide you through your daily challenges. He wants to be your anchor and your solid rock upon which you can stand. On you eighteenth day of fasting, remember:  Pray and stay in God’s Word.  Continue to journal your experiences  Meditate on what this fast means to you. Thoughts for your journal:  Examine and write down areas of un-forgiveness and bitterness that the Lord is asking you to surrender to Him. _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ PRAYER FOCUS DAY 18: BINDING OPPRESSION AND FEAR Sometimes in life our enemies or circumstances seem so large and so powerful that they are all we can see. That is oppression, the way the enemy wants you to operate. He also uses fear. Fear is nothing more than a lack of faith. Psalms 69:30 I will praise God’s name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving. Bind up areas of fear and oppression and loose faith, power and courage to fight the enemy and know that you will have victory. What areas do you need to magnify the Lord today?

29

_______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ Read Psalm 34:3-4 DAY 19: REWARD OPENLY During a fast where you have consecrated yourself and dedicated yourself to God, God will reward you openly. These are some of the rewards: the spirit of poverty gets broken, relationships restored, health and healing flows, you overcome addictions, you overcome demonic powers, your children are redirected away from the enemy’s flames, and many more. All rewards from fasting. On you nineteenth day of fasting remember:  Continue to drink water  Pray for guidance and strength  Document your thoughts in your journal Thoughts for your journal:  Consider what you would be willing to share with others today. How you will articulate your experience and what it has meant to you in terms of your relationship with God? _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ PRAYER FOCUS DAY 19 – REVIVAL Revival is when earth is attacked by heaven. It is when you get closer to heaven than you are to anything on Earth. We need revival in America. We need heaven to touch the earth with power. So as we near the end of our fast, we must pray for revival.

_______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ Read Habakkuk 3:2 DAY 20: HIS WILL, NOT YOURS Fasting has prepared you for a new anointing. God can’t put that kind of new wine into old wine skins. If you want new wine, new miracles, new closeness, new intimacy with Him, then it is time to give up our will to His. In the garden of Gethsemane the night before Jesus was taken into custody, he prayed and asked God to “take this cup and let it pass from me”. He would have preferred to not have to go through what he was about to go through, however, Jesus’ next words were” however, not my will, but thy will be done” That must be our desire. On your twentieth day of fasting, remember:  Pray and stay in God’s Word  Worship God through music and praise  Cravings are apparent, but you’ve lasted this long. Thoughts for your journal:  Take some time today and go back to read your journal entries from the start of the fast to this twentieth day. PRAYER FOCUS DAY 20: LABOURERS INTO THE HARVEST FIELD Focus your prayers on these two key instructions from heaven: Psalm 2:8 Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession 31

Matthew 9:38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” We need strong men and women of God who are not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to carry his message to the ends of the earth. Cry out and ask God to raise up and strengthen the labourers. Cry out and ask God to save multitudes, for the lost, for the hurting, for the poor, for the addicted. Pray for missionaries and all ambassadors of his word. _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ Read Mathew 4:16

DAY 21: YOUR FINAL DAY You have diligently sought the Lord. This is your final day of the fast, but your first day of the rest of your walk with Him. Walk into your destiny. Never, Never, Never give up. Never, Never, Never quit. Never, Never, Never let the devil get a stronghold in your life. 32

ON YOUR TWENTY-FIRST DAY OF FASTING, REMEMBER:  Share your experience with someone  Replenish yourself with liquids and prepare to ease back into solid food on the twenty-second day.  Be thankful and rejoice  Write your feelings in your prayer journal  Anticipation increases regarding what the Lord is doing in your life. PRAISE GOD!!  On this final day, ask the Lord to reveal to you if there is any un-forgiveness, bitterness, or other hindrances that you have yet to lay fully before your Lord.  Prepare for blessing, harvest and an anointing like you have never experienced before.  Get ready because the rest of this year will not be like any other before it! PRAYER FOCUS DAY 21: SPIRIT OF PRAYER FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT FALL Nothing else will do in a world that has gone mad. Your fast has made you sensitive to the things of God. Now we have an understanding of how the Holy Spirit has moved in our life and our prayer must be that the Holy Spirit fall over everyone. _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________ Read Romans 5: 1-4 PREPARE FOR YOUR NEXT FASTING BREAKTHOUGH!!!
