Wedding & Banquet Receptions ‘A beautiful place with outstanding views Over the English Channel’
Walmer & Kingsdown Golf Club is situated on a ridge on top of the Downs overlooking the village of Kingsdown with a refreshing sea breeze and incredible views of the English Channel. The Club was established in 1909 and designed by James Braid. It is based high up on the famous White Cliffs of Dover between Dover and Deal in truly wonderful surroundings. The function room can cater for all of your private or business requirements, whether it is a wedding reception, christening, post funeral gathering, birthday, anniversary party or a business meeting. The dining room overlooks the sea to France on one side and the golf course on the other and is an ideal venue for Weddings and Banquets seating up to 110 people and catering for up to 200 evening guests. Our grounds have a wonderful outlook enabling a wedding photographer to capture the splendor of the occasion. The Club has ample car parking facilities. At Walmer & Kingsdown we take great pleasure in providing a friendly, professional service and with flexibility to cater for your specific requirements to exceed your expectations. We can provide contact details of service providers to ensure your day runs smoothly and these include wedding coordinators, photographers and Evening Entertainment (i.e. bands, disco’s etc). Wedding & Banquet Procedure
Once you have selected Walmer & Kingsdown as your preferred venue for your Wedding or Banquet, a provisional booking will be held for you on the date of choice for a maximum of 14 days. At the end of this period a written confirmation, together with a non-refundable deposit of £300 should be sent to Walmer & Kingsdown Golf Club to confirm the booking.
A room charge is applicable to all weddings and banquets (please see booking form).
An initial meeting is recommended to discuss your Wedding (or event) to ensure we meet your requirements.
A further meeting, or contact, approximately eight weeks prior to your event should take place to discuss in greater detail and to provide estimate of the final cost.
Two weeks prior to the event, final numbers to be agreed and final payment made prior to the event.

Wedding & Banquet Check List
Information that will be required from you in order to ensure the smooth running of your event. Please provide as much information as possible.
Guest Numbers Approximate numbers to begin with and then definite numbers as per specified timeline.
Timings Running order of Wedding Day to be discussed. Start and end time for events.
Table Plan Seating arrangements to be determined, according to number of guests.
Suppliers details Full names and contact details of Wedding/Event suppliers required – we can suggest suppliers if you wish or organize this on your behalf. To include DJ/Band, Florist and Photographer etc.
Beverages & Bar Reception drink, Toasting wine with speeches, wine with meal. Cash at the bar or account (paid on the evening). Club policy dictates that only drinks purchased from the bar may be consumed on the premises.
Menu Choice Can be selected from the choices offered – please discuss any special dietary requirements with us. We can be flexible with menu if required and Children’s portions can be catered for by providing half portions on set menus.

PAYMENT Two weeks prior to Wedding/Banquet an invoice will be issued based on the numbers given at this time.
DAMAGE The Client is responsible to Walmer & Kingsdown Golf Club for any damage caused by the Client or their Guests.
CORKAGE The Club does not have a ‘corkage’ policy. No wines or spirits to be brought into the allocated rooms by the client or their guests.
