Thank you for considering The Canadian Golf & Country Club as a location to host your special day. We take great pride in our commitment to superior service and food quality and we are delighted to welcome you and your friends and family.

Reception Venues The Canadian Golf Club offers two beautiful locations for weddings of 80 - 300 guests. Our second floor dining room offers a twenty-foot cathedral ceiling, a stone fireplace and can seat up to 150 guests. Our large wrap around balcony overlooks the course with a breath-taking view. Our large Marquis covered screened pavilion provides all the atmosphere of an outdoor, with all the conveniences of an indoor venue. Sliding windows transform an open-pavilion to a closed heated one, within a few minutes. Separate entrances for golfers to our clubhouse provide you with privacy. Depending upon seating configuration, our pavilion can accommodate parties up to 300 guests.

Wedding Ceremony Venue The Canadian Golf Club offers a private, romantic venue for your wedding ceremony, known as Tori’s Garden. Situated a short walk from our clubhouse, you will enter a forested area, where waiting at the end of the paved path, is a wooden gazebo, next to a pond complete with a wharf for capturing memorable photos of your wedding day. We offer a shuttle service to and from the clubhouse for those who wish to use the service. Should weather not cooperate on the day of your wedding, the Canadian Golf & Country Club offers a black up plan. Our staff will the chairs, as well as a skirted DJ table and a signing

Weddings at Canadian Golf Food & Beverage Service Our menu is created using the freshest of products, highest quality meats, seafood and produce. Enclosed are our 2016 banquet menus for your planning referral. Please be advised that menus and prices are subject to change for the 2017 season. Custom menus are also available to suit your specific needs should you be looking for something different. Menu selection is required a minimum of 21 days prior to the wedding. We are pleased to accommodate dietary concerns, allergies, vegetarians etc., at no extra charge. We require the names of the individuals a minimum of 48 hours in advance. Final numbers are due 3 days before your wedding day. There is no additional charge to you, should you wish to offer your guests a choice of beef, chicken or vegetarian meal. You would simply pay the price of the selected protein for their dinner. Offering the guest the choice when sending out your invitations allows you to track which guest is having what protein. All food is to be supplied by the Canadian Golf Club, with the exception of your wedding cake, which must be made by a cake company or someone with a valid Food Safe Certificate. There is no additional charge for cake cutting, as it is included in your hall rental.

We do offer children’s pricing and the cost is $20 for children between 5-12 years of age. The children will receive 3 chicken fingers and fries, along with the same dessert your other guests will receive. Children are served their meal when your first course is served. (Buffet price for children 5-12 years of age is $25) We are happy to work within your budget, by offering host, toonie, tickets, pre determined dollar amount or cash bar for your guests. If you were interested in bringing your own wine, a $20/750 ml corkage fee would apply, and you would be required to obtain a special occasions permit. The bar will close, and the music will cease playing at 1am. If you were interested in keeping the bar open later, there would be a charge of $50 per 1/2hour until 2am. If you wish to have the music play longer than 1 am, arrangements would need to be made in advance with your DJ.

Weddings at Canadian Golf Dancing Once your dinner and speeches have finished, it’s time to kick up your heels! A licensed DJ or band is welcome to play in either of our venue locations. Our second floor dining room includes a 13 x 15 wood dance floor, and our pavilion offers a 15 x 15 dance floor, at an additional cost of $250. There are two costs associated with having a dance at your wedding. First, there is a SoCan fee of $59.17, which is a government regulated fee for the use of the licensed music. The second fee is a Re Sound fee of $26.63, which is the Canadian not-for-profit music licensing company, dedicated to obtaining fair compensation for artists and record companies for their performance rights.

Photography You are welcome to have your photos taken any where between Tori’s Garden and the club house. We do request that all photography remain around this area, and to please refrain from going onto the golf course, for safety reasons.

Audio Visual Equipment The Canadian Golf Club does have in-house sound systems, complete with hand held wireless microphones, in both our venue locations. You may use our sound system to play background music during your cocktail hour and dinner, and for your speeches.

Our sound system however isn’t designed to play music for dancing. If you were interested in providing music for your ceremony, we offer a microphone and sound system, for a fee of $180. Should you decide to do a slideshow during the evening, we will provide you with a skirted table and extension cord. We do have a screen, which you could rent for $150, or your DVD could be projected directly on the wall behind the head table.

Weddings at Canadian Golf Decorations and Linens The Canadian Golf Club will provide all tables, chairs, chinaware, flatware, glassware, standard floor length white or ivory table linen, and standard napkins (color of your choice, depends on availability) for your wedding reception. Should you wish to up-grade your linen, our linen provider, Groovy Linen, would be happy to show you their line of table cloths, napkins and chair covers. You may make your selections through Groovy Linen, but we take all the worries away, once your selection has been made. We also provide table numbers and stands, easels for your seating plan, a skirted cake table, gift table, guest book table and DJ table. You are welcome to bring your own centrepieces with pre-approval from the Canadian Golf Club. Tea lights and votives are permitted, as long as they are contained. Should there be any wax damage, a fee may be assessed for clean-up. Tapered candles, confetti or confetti glitter, nails & staples or hanging of anything from our light fixtures are not permitted. Should you have table runners or overlays, we require them the night prior to your wedding, as the Canadian Golf Club will place them on the tables for you. Your wedding venue is available for decorating as of 9am, or earlier if required on the morning of your wedding. Should the room be available the night prior, we can allow setup, however this is not confirmed until closer to your wedding day. Wedding cakes and flowers will be received on the day of your wedding. All other items for your wedding will be received the day before your wedding. We will place all guest favors, centre pieces and place cards on the tables for you. All items are to be removed from the premises on the evening of your wedding, unless pre-arranged with the Canadian Golf Club.

Parking On-site parking is available at no charge. We do permit guests to leave their vehicles overnight, if needed. You may arrange a safe ride home for your guests or we can arrange for a taxi ride at the end of the evening through our team.

Weddings at Canadian Golf Pricing To help anticipate costs for your Wedding, the Canadian Golf & Country Club is committed to keeping menu pricing as affordable as possible. Prices are subject to change without notice, to a maximum of 4%, from one year to another (subject to market fluctuation). Liquor pricing is always subject to LCBO price increases, therefore we cannot guarantee some prices will not change during 2016 and 2017.

Our thank you for hosting your wedding at the Canadian Golf Club The Canadian Golf & Country Club is pleased to offer you a couple’s membership, valid for one year from the date of your wedding. (This membership is valued at $3,000 and is not transferrable)

Menu sampling The Canadian Golf Club will be offering a “menu sample” evening, where all couples (who have booked their weddings with us) will be invited to attend and sample a “Tapas tasting” of our menu selections. This event takes place on the last Sunday in April. You will have the opportunity to work with the Canadian Golf Club’s event planner to ensure your special day runs smoothly. It is our number one priority to exceed the expectations of our customers. Our hope is that this provides you with clear information that will assist us to maintain a wonderful business relationship with you now and in the future. A deposit of $1,000, is required to secure your wedding date and location of your wedding reception. An installment of 50% of your estimated cost is due 3 months prior to the date of your wedding, and the balance is due the day before your wedding. Payment may be made by cash, credit or debit card or certified cheque.
