COUGAR DE SIVOLA - Yet to finish a race from three starts and not easy to like 7. AMANSARA - Won hurdles race here in good order at first time of asking and although pulled-up on second bow looks every bit the pick on chase debut 8. DAME DE CHANTENAY - Looked limited over hurdles and pull-up on chase debut. Expected to have too much to do 9. HER BREIZ - Good impression in claimers over hurdles and should take to fences although is up against some better fillies 10. CARAT D'OUDAIRIES - Made decent progress when 5th in tight chase here last month and not to be underestimated 7. CHAMPENOIS - Decent sort on the flat for debuting modestly over hurdles beginning of January. Looks progressive and should play a leading role 8. CALUNE - Yet to finish in first three at this level but has potential and not to be underestimated 9. C'EST REPARTI - A modest filly and despite her allowance cannot be considered a viable proposition Summary (5) CRISTAL DE THAIX showed good potential on his chase debut a month ago and could well have the measure of his rivals in this contest. (7) CHAMPENOIS makes his debut over fences but showed ability on the flat and is expected to go well. (1) CAREFREE has appeared a different horse since embarking on this vocation and it will be only a matter of time before he imposes his will. Comes here fresh and with solid chance 4. YSAWA - Listed placed individual whose meeting has been below par in both codes. Can make first five if recaptures some earlier form 5. KIGREAT DE LA PREE - Useful mare that makes her hurdling debut. Not to be underestimated 6. CARLAIN - Raced just three times in past 12 months with little success. Even on form would have too much to do 7. ARGENTIER - Has acquitted himself well this winter at Pau and returns over sticks with a more than credible chance 8. RED NOUSA - More suited to inferior company and was soundly beaten last time out. Others preferred 9. BALKINO DE MASPIE - Off for two months since ending modest autumn. Handier in the provinces and not a consideration 10. BLUE MAMBO - Successful at Cagnes before disappointing twice here and not easy to have confidence 11. DOM PRIOLO - Shaped up into pleasant hurdler-chaser but off track since last July and can be passed over for his return 12. BELLE MADRIK - Yet to make the frame from 11 starts however ran well to finish 4th over shorter here late January. Interesting outsider 13. VALKE FIXE - Modest results over hurdles this meeting but at bottom weight must be considered a place prospect Summary (1) GROOVE is the superior force in this field and a return over hurdles should be right up his street. (3) TIOT CAS has previously made his mark at a decent level although just 1kg better off in the weights may not be sufficient to challenge the favourite. (7) ARGENTIER has not been shy over fences this meeting and could well confirm his aptitude for hurdling on this occasion however if (4) YSAWA can recapture some of his spring form he will be up there at the finish.

TAPIOCA - Handy sort in the code but drops in category after a pair of falls and must be respected 4. AFRICANERS - Decent jumper but faller on all three starts this winter. If he stays upright can finish in the mix 5. GARRY MAN - Stil a maiden but consistently goes close although at a lower level. Pau debutant but worth watching 6. ALMAYA DE KERSER - Impressed early meeting but has fallen on each of last two. Expected to make amends and not without a chance 7. KAHYA VILLE - Third of three - that finished - over course and distance ten days ago. Repeat unlikely 8. SUN SKY BLUE - Rarely far from the action but has been off since September. If fit could be dangerous 9. AUDACE D'AINAY - Falls as often as she makes an impression. Has twice finished honourably over shorter this winter and capable of making the frame in this contest 10. UKETA - Handy chaser that made cross debut after year layoff. Fell on that occasion but not a write-off this time around Summary Unlucky on four of five starts this meeting (1) VALERIO BLEU is still the best animal in the field and even off top weight can impose. EXTREME SUD - Put in good effort to run 2nd here last month before falling in chase 8 days ago. Drops in category and can stake a claim 5. NAMALI - Boasts fine record over fences and most recently 3rd over course and distance. Decent hand to play here 6. BACK TO ROCK - Capable but has had a poor run since returning from long layoff. Not a consideration 7. V'LA DENUO - More than useful at this level but off since April and looks to have too much to do 8. DON MARTALINO - Pulled-up on each start here this winter and can be disregarded 9. PIERROT BAY - Group-class gelding that made fine impression in hurdles event after 16 months off the track. LIBERTY DU CHARMIL - Pulled up on her lone outing to date and not an obvious threat from what was seen that day 8. CASSIOPEE MADRIK - Modest debutante mid December before falling on subsequent start last month. Handler confident of big improvement 9. APICULTEUR - Made his mark over hurdles and did so 2nd time around over fences a month ago. That form would see him go close 5. FOLK DANCER - Still a maiden from 14 however not disgraced on last two conditions' starts here and could make the frame 6. DARK KRISTAL - Just got the job done here last time but the penalty is a problem 10. TILENA - Won on debut some time ago but lightly raced and out of form since then 11.
