VINCENNES - 31st January Race 1 1. BOLDENA - Delicate mare that has yet to show any ability at this level but worth a go in this small field 2. BARON DU CHENE - Just his second attempt at group level but has ability. From a yard on fire and not to be overlooked 3. BLOOMA D'HERIPRE - Undeniably talented but not at her best behind Be Mine De Houelle last month and disqualified fortnight ago. Must raise her game to stake a claim 4. BISCUIT DELAVERA - Runner-up to Bilibili in Gr.II three weeks ago. Currently going well and unshod should only have the one rival 5. BE MINE DE HOUELLE - Won Gr.II early December but off the boil since. Back on form and she will be dangerous. Needs to confirm 6. BOCAGE D'ORTIGE - Has won and placed at this level and his recent 3rd to Bilibili was no disgrace. Not to be underestimated 7. BILIBILI - An exceptional individual. Has won a brace of Gr.II events since landing the Gr.I Prix du President over course and distance. Hind shoes off for the occasion and every chance

Summary (7) BILIBILI takes to the course and distance of his President victory and on current form he looks unbeatable. Runner-up to the favourite last time (4) BISCUIT DELAVERA has gone from strength to strength and should be the obvious challenger. (5) BE MINE DE HOUELLE has failed to impress of late although on a good day is a force. (3) BLOOMA D'HERIPRE is still waiting for that group win but has been on the cusp for some time. This may not be her day either however if on form can make the first three. Selections (7) BILIBILI - (4) BISCUIT DELAVERA - (5) BE MINE DE HOUELLE - (3) BLOOMA D'HERIPRE

Race 2 1. BLACK CHARM - Stepped up in class with moderate success and overcame a pair of poor runs with a 3rd place behind Baltic Charm last time out. No easy task here 2. BARRIO JOSSELYN - Showed substantial ability during the summer and following brace of return starts is unshod all four with every chance 3. BRELAN DU VIVIER - Beat a host of others here earlier this month and decent chance again of making good impression 4. BEST BUISSONAY - Not the most dependable lately and appears to have too much to do 5. SATCHMO AS - Little to note since running 5th behind Carabinieri last November and unrealistic proposition here 6. BADIUS DE TILOU - Overcame a lean patch to record solid Class C win here last time out. rested and looks set to make good impression again 7. BRASIL DE BAILLY - Thoroughly outclassed on last four starts and easily passed over this time 8. CARABINIERI - High-achieving Swedish horse who ran 3rd in Class A on only starts here. Returns with realistic ambitions 9. BALTIC CHARM - Can boast exceptional talent but a stewards' favourite. Turned a corner ten days ago for new trainer easily winning Class C over longer. Strong claim 10. SAPHIRE HORSE - Better suited to lower level and too much to ask on this occasion 11. BLACK ATOUT - Honest sort but struggling with form since stepping up in class. Will need to confirm 12. GROSS WEIGHT - Yet to shine from three in France this winter and will need to show improvement to challenge 13. ONCEFORALL FACE - Well-regarded at home and has ability but difficult task in this event 14. SUERTE'S CAGE - Has shown great consistency at home in Italy but takes on some bigger boys this time. Others preferred 15. SHIRAZ ROC - Speedy Italian horse with will appreciate the trip. Prepped well in good ridden event. Unshod this time and not without a chance to impress 16. SCELLINO LUIS - Exceptional Swedish type whose win rate is just shy of 50%. Dependable and consistent he should influence the result 17. SOGNO D'AMORE -

Yet to impress on French soil and has an uphill

struggle in this field 18. DIGITAL COLLECTION - Runs five days after disappointment in Class A over longer. Very useful in his own country and not to be ignored Summary (9) BALTIC CHARM looks a new horse since arriving at Guarato's yard and is more than capable of scooping the prize here although the useful (2) BARRIO JOSSELYN has a pair of comeback races in him and with shoes off will be a tough opponent. (6) BADIUS DE TILOU won nicely on his last start a level down but is talented enough to make his presence felt here. The Swedes are here of course and if (8) CARABINIERI repeats his November run he will be a worthy opponent however Stig Johansson's metronome (16) SCELLINO LUIS must overcome a poor draw to make an impact. Selections (9) BALTIC CHARM - (2) BARRIO JOSSELYN - (6) BADIUS DE TILOU - (8) CARABINIERI - (16) SCELLINO LUIS

Race 3 1. AMAZONE DU DOLLAR - Has not been at the top of her game since this time last year but with hind shoes off this time is capable of making her presence felt 2. AGRIPPINE - Undeniable talent but has lost her way since the summer and not a player on this occasion 3. VAILLANT CASH - Not out of the first three since return from layoff and was most impressive Gr.III winner fortnight ago. Every chance 4. UKERLZA DU BENJO - Overcame a lean patch and currently in fine form. Finished runner-up to Texas De L'Iton three weeks ago over course and distance but 25m better off this time. Win claim 5. UNA DES PONNES - Has not made the frame since August and at this level she looks properly outclassed 6. VRAI VOYOU - Respectable results this winter but must bring his best form to make the frame in this contest 7. SATIN D'AVRIL - May need divine intervention to overcome this rough patch. Not a contender 8. TSAR DE HOUELLE - Disappointment has become a regular emotion for this gelding and can be passed over 9. UN GARS DU LARGE - Put in a pair of fine performances at beginning of meeting but lately below par. Capable of surprising and not to be disregarded 10. TEATRO - Talented type and on a good run in harness competition. 5th in Gr.III last time and expected to make better impression under the saddle this time around 11. SIROCCO JIBACE - Has not made a mark at this level for 18 months and unlikely to turn that around this time 12. TEXAS DE L'ITON - Back to winning ways on last two at Gr.II level. Normally the obvious choice but distance handicap does him no favours. Claim nonetheless Summary (4) UKERLZA DU BENJO has been doing everything right of late and on her current form looks the pick of the field. The progress (10) TEATRO has shown recently bodes well for just his second attempt in this code and he should prove a hardy rival. (3) VAILLANT CASH has not disappointed this winter and looked dangerous last time out although the star of the field is undoubtedly (12) TEXAS DE L'ITON but he must overcome the extra 25m to make it three in a row at this level.

Selections (4) UKERLZA DU BENJO - (10) TEATRO - (3) VAILLANT CASH - (12) TEXAS DE L'ITON

Race 4 1. CAID GRIFF - Yet to score in this grade but is consistently thereabouts. 4th in Criterium des 3 Ans last month and not incapable of snatching a minor place 2. CHARLY DU NOYER - Two time Gr.I winner and second of three Allaire colts. High class individual and more than capable of bouncing back from recent disqualification. Strong claim 3. CALITA WOOD - Gr.II winning filly who returns here from layoff. First time unshod behind and not without a place chance 4. CAVALLERIA - Decent filly and recent courageous runner-up to Cahal Des Rioults. Not to be underestimated and can play a role 5. TONY GIO - Smart Italian colt whose 2 starts here have been unrewarding. Unshod in front for the occasion and can go close 6. SUCRE - Has played his part in Gr.I races in Sweden but made little impression on last start but with hind shoes off could make his presence felt 7. TRADERS - Exceptional Allaire youngster with talent in abundance. Twice Gr.III winner already and although new to the 2100m long course should claim this event 8. CAHAL DES RIOULTS - Twice successful at this level so far. Never far from the action and with hind shoes off looks a serious player. Claim 9. THEODOR GRIF - Already a group winner in Italy but well beaten by Traders following layoff. Faces stiff task this time around 10. FORTUNE BOKO - Another Swedish import racing for Souloy for first time. Unproven at this level but seems able to acquit himself well 11. TALISKER HORSE - This filly has made impressive progress and gave a good account of herself in the Italian Oaks. Must be at the top of her game to make any impact 12. TANTALIO - Second of the Italian raiders. Has yet to win in France but is a capable sort however faces much better horses in this event Summary Philippe Allaire appears to have this race wrapped up already with a trio of highclass individuals lining up. (7) TRADERS has progressed with style and vies for a first win at this level while (2) CHARLY DU NOYER already has a brace of Gr.I victories to his name and is very adaptable. His third colt (8) CAHAL DES RIOULTS is rarely far from the action and his good turn of foot will stand him in good stead. Of the others (1) CAID GRIFF looks the nearest challenger given his recent performance behind Charley Du Noyer in the Gr.I Criterium des 3 Ans.

Selections (7) TRADERS - (2) CHARLY DU NOYER - (8) CAHAL DES RIOULTS - (1) CAID GRIFF

Race 5 1. QUICK FIX - Another Kolgjini Swedish import that has taken France by storm. On a four timer. Last two at this level over longer. Has speed and is a key player 2. URGOS - Has been carefully prepared for this race and unshod this time with a good draw must not be overlooked 3. QUITE AN AVENGER - Interesting moment for this Finnish gelding to make his return from a 400-day absence. Has the draw and front shoes off. Unlikely candidate however 4. UMBERTO DE NACRE - Honest type who produced a solid 4th in recent Gr.III here. Nivard takes over in sulky and chances improved 5. VAISMAN - Highly consistent type but has never won at this level. Off for almost five months and while not a prime selection should go well 6. DANTE BOKO - Fine record at Vincennes and if he trots as he did just eight days ago he will prove dangerous 7. ALPHA SALTOR - Not the most dependable in the field but new shoeing formula should be to his advantage 8. PERKINS GRIF - Has not looked threatening on recent starts and appears to have too much to do in this contest 9. VIKING VA BENE - Norwegian giant that has made good impact since coming to France. Won over course and distance at this level on penultimate start and favoured to do so again 10. DREAM MAGIC BE - Very able German horse but at this level has too much to find 11. AUBRION DU GERS - Won under these conditions early January to make it three from last four. Strong claim 12. APPRENTI SORCIER - Still chasing that elusive group win but remarkably consistent and never to be underestimated 13. RUE DU BAC - Eurotrotting import that returns to this code following a moderate string of runs. Will have to be at the top of his game 14. VAISSEAU - A substantially better horse under the saddle and not a key player 15. UDO'S OILER - Decent aptitude but consistency not his strong point. In this company will generate little interest 16. INCREASED WORKLOAD - Winless at any level for 16 months and not a viable proposition

Summary (9) VIKING VA BENE does not benefit from the best draw but his talent should see him overcome the hurdle however Bazire's (11) AUBRION DU GERS comes here with every chance of making it four from five. (6) DANTE BOKO is the first of Kolgjini's runners and on recent form will be a hardy challenger while recent double Gr.III winner (1) QUICK FIX is the other and no less capable. (12) APPRENTI SORCIER has been on the cusp of victory at this level for so long and although this is probably not his day, he can certainly make the frame. Selections (9) VIKING VA BENE - (11) AUBRION DU GERS - (6) DANTE BOKO - (1) QUICK FIX - (12) APPRENTI SORCIER

Race 6 1. ATHOS DES ELFES - Not short of ability but no longer the horse he was. Expectations exceeding reality 2. NEPHENTA LUX - Smart Italian mare with 26% win rate but simply not of the quality required to compete in this event 3. LIONEL - Horse of exceptional quality and has won 7 of 9 for Souloy including a pair of Gr.II's. Never beaten unshod all four and will give his best once again 4. VIKING DE VAL - Not since April has he seen the winners' enclosure and even unshod this time has limited chance 5. MOSES ROB - A Gr.I winner and 3rd in the Bourbonnais but still an outsider and unlikely to influence the outcome 6. SOLEA RIVELLIERE - Last chance saloon for this mare whose recent form inspires little confidence. Easily passed over 7. BIRD PARKER - Very effective over this course and best of his generation after Bold Eagle to whom he was 3rd in Gr.I a month ago. Impressive in Prix de Belgique and solid claim 8. SUPPORT JUSTICE - Multiple Gr.I winning Norwegian horse with impressive speed. Disqualified in the Belgique despite finishing third. Worth paying attention to this one 9. OASIS BI - Finished a very impressive 3rd in the Belgique after three months break. Has good speed and a surprise here is not beyond the realm of possibility 10. BOLD EAGLE - Never beaten over course and distance and possibly the best trotter on the planet today. Given his recent Prix de Belgique victory is certainly the horse to beat 11. UN MEC D'HERIPRE - Won the Prix du Bourbonnais and raced well in the other preps. He will be in the mix and will garner considerable support 12. VOLTIGEUR DE MYRT - Gr.I winner that always gives his all. Best of the rest in the Belgique and similarly capable this time around 13. AKIM DU CAP VERT - Been racing at this level since he was two and looks to be at his best. remarkably regular and a frame finish not out of the question 14. MOSAIQUE FACE - Unplaced last year here but since scored Gr.I victory at Mons however has never made any impact at this venue and not about to this time either 15. UNIVERS DE PAN - Has not performed as well this year as in 2015. 3rd in the Prix de Bourgogne and still a fighter but prospects not all that good 16. TIEGO D'ETANG - Never better than 6th from three attempts at this race. Missed out on his first goal this year in the Cornulier but shoes off this time and

will acquit himself honestly 17. UP AND QUICK - Last year's winner but lacklustre in Prix de Belgique. Shoes off this time and is still a force that will be heavily supported 18. TIMOKO - Fourth attempt at this race but never better than 3rd (2015). Best over 2100m but has good speed and should never be underestimated Summary The world is talking about (10) BOLD EAGLE and with good cause but this is the Prix d'Amerique and nothing is a given. If he performs as he did two weeks ago this race will be his however Norwegian import (3) LIONEL has done remarkably well for his new trainer and looks the closest challenger. Last year's winner (17) UP AND QUICK is still an exceptional horse and although below par last time, one can be sure he will have been brought to his best for the chance of a double. (7) BIRD PARKER would have better statistics were it not for the favourite but he impressed in the Belgique and looks a decent place prospect although (18) TIMOKO will be well supported for his fourth attempt at the holy grail. Selections (10) BOLD EAGLE - (3) LIONEL - (17) UP AND QUICK - (7) BIRD PARKER (18) TIMOKO

Race 7 1. ADELIA DE MELODIE - Has won just the once over the trip and prefers further. Does have speed and can put that to good use but chances limited 2. RED ROSE AMERICA - Pleasing Gr.III winner over track and trip early winter and not disgraced last time in Gr.II. Consistent and fresh she stakes a claim to this prize 3. POTENZA OM - Very consistent Italian type whose Gr.III 4th at Cagnes this month was no disgrace. Decent draw and honourable chance 4. VEA DU VIVIER - Good aptitude for the game but results too modest of late to inspire sufficient confidence 5. UTOPIE IMPERIALE - Interesting choice of race for this mare. Rarely makes any impression in harness competition and not a reasonable consideration 6. ALIENOR DE GODREL - Decent mare but better over longer and others preferred 7. USTIE HAUFOR - Very useful over this shorter trip and if she races as she did fortnight ago the game is on 8. VENUS DE BAILLY - Consistent for the most part but less effective on last two. Driver confident of a place however and must be respected 9. AMERICAINE - Good sort in both disciplines but better under the saddle and no real threat in this contest 10. GLAD HALL T. Respectable Norwegian mare but disappointingly disqualified when going well on Vincennes debut. Decent prospect and not to be overlooked 11. NINEPOINTS LUCY - Only once out of first two on last dozen starts and has made quite an impression at this venue. Can play a role here 12. ADELIE - Below par on last two but has considerable ability and not to be ignored 13. SAHARA FAIRYTALE - Made good impression on both recent starts over track and trip. Legitimate place ambition 14. DONNA DI QUATTRO - Good Swedish type that has won twice from three starts here and latterly over course and distance. Can double up and every chance 15. FORTUNA SUND - Has raced honestly since coming to France but rises in class and will have to bring her A game 16. ACTION PARTAGE - Currently going well and looks capable of stepping up in class and acquitting herself well

17. AIR FRAME - Has made solid progress since coming to France. Fine finish in Gr.III last time and if form maintained a tough challenger 18. ULEXA DES PLANS - Nothing wrong with this mare's numbers however she must overcome the bad draw in order to compete Summary In keeping with the race's namesake the Swedes look a dominant force here. (14) DONNA DI QUATTRO has taken to these conditions well and the nature of her recent course and distance victory bode well for another good performance. Compatriot (2) RED ROSE AMERICA has also adjusted to Vincennes conditions and looks a serious threat while domestic hopeful (7) USTIE HAUFOR finished majestically here two weeks ago and appears to have the capacity to repeat. Another Swede (17) AIR FRAME has made good progress here of late and fellow 'countrywoman' (11) NINEPOINTS LUCY has shown exceptional consistency and looks a solid place challenger. Selections (14) DONNA DI QUATTRO - (2) RED ROSE AMERICA - (7) USTIE HAUFOR (17) AIR FRAME - (11) NINEPOINTS LUCY

Race 8 1. CYBELE MERITE - Three times a winner from three in Sweden and although first time over longer looks to be a future prospect in the making. Dangerous 2. CEDEA JOSSELYN - Has won four from five career starts and looks like that streak will not end here. Every chance 3. CATHY A QUIRA - Showed good aptitude earlier in the year but has been off for almost five months. Cautious optimism 4. CHACHOO BOND - Is a course and distance winner but not getting home at this level and will find conditions taxing 5. CAYENNE DE HOUELLE - Won four of the five races she finished. Moves up a level with realistic ambitions 6. CALY LOULOU - Does not lack ability but ineffective on last two outings. Comes here fresh and can have a say 7. COMTESSE DE LATZ - Regularly in the thick of things but needs to raise her game for this contest 8. CASSATE - Better filly with a saddle on her back although not incapable of springing minor surprise 9. CHELSEA DES CHAMPS - Has looked a good sort since early on and won two in a row last month here before finishing 2nd in same category two weeks ago. Decent prospect 10. CALENCIA - Finished very good runner-up to Cedea Josselyn on the long course last time out and must be respected once again 11. CLAIRE DES BAUX - Has raced respectably in better class this month and looks capable of making a mark 12. CONCHITANA JENILOU - Filly of quality but too frequently sanctioned. If behaved has good hand to play 13. CALINE DE CHAHAINS - Her last victory was over track and trip but will need to show more in order to challenge 14. CAUSEWAY BAY - Yet to win here but has scored a level down. Not disgraced on return early January and can play a small part 15. CLARABELLE - Well-regarded filly that has won over track and trip. Hind shoes off for first time could give her the edge. Claim Summary A number in contention for this competitive event. Bazire's (2) CEDEA JOSSELYN looks the standout in this field and has every chance of extending

her win rate. (15) CLARABELLE has already proved her worth over the course and with new shoeing formula can challenge. Unbeaten Swedish raider (1) CYBELE MERITE has never been truly tested and could yet be the one to fear although the progressive (9) CHELSEA DES CHAMPS has shown good speed and should be up there at the wire. Selections (2) CEDEA JOSSELYN - (15) CLARABELLE - (1) CYBELE MERITE - (9) CHELSEA DES CHAMPS

Race 9 1. DEUXIEME SOUFFLE - Beat Dream Darling early in the meeting but has raced modestly since being stepped up. Must confirm 2. DISTA LOVE - Group-placed filly but disqualified twice from last three. Gr.II 5th last month no disgrace and can go closer this time 3. DOBERMAN - Exceptional colt winning there from five. Dominated last time in Class B over the course and strong claim 4. DRAGUEUR - Takes first steps in this category and although decent sort has a lot to find in this company 5. DEEP PURPLE - Solid filly with clear ability but against the boys has tougher task this time around 6. CALLELA ELIZA - Finnish filly. Unseen for last 2.5 months but comes here off back of three-timer and looks to have respectable chance 7. DROP - Looked a promising colt from the start but disappointed last start in better company and looks to have too much to do 8. DREAM DARLING - Colt with abundance of talent although well beaten on first attempt in august company. Drops down with good place prospects 9. DUCATO BOURBON - High class individual who made impact early. 3rd in Gr.II fortnight ago and the category drop looks tailor-made 10. MONACO ROYAL EVENT - Dutch colt still winless from three. Up against better and looks to have limited chance 11. GOLDY TOUCHYVON - Raced just twice in the Netherlands and does not appear to have the requisite class 12. ULISSE LL - Italian colt with modest form. First race for new trainer and should not be judged too quickly 13. DJANGO DI MONMES - Makes his first French appearance. 40% win rate at home but unlikely to mean much in this company Summary (3) DOBERMAN has made excellent progress since October debut and the nature of his recent victory is enough to inspire confidence at this level however (9) DUCATO BOURBON acquitted himself well in Gr.II last time out and looks a real threat. (8) DREAM DARLING has climbed the ladder in smart order and should not be judged too harshly for his recent starts. (2) DISTA LOVE is up against the boys here but her latest 5th belies the impression she made and is expected to go closer this time.

Selections (3) DOBERMAN - (9) DUCATO BOURBON - (8) DREAM DARLING - (2) DISTA LOVE

Race 10 1. URZO DU CAP VERT - Has placed just once from five under the saddle but caught the eye last time and worthy of a step up 2. SCOTT COUCOU - Useful in the provinces but here and at this level he will garner no support 3. SAPHIR GEDE - Off for almost three months but never a candidate in any case 4. UZBEK DU BOCAGE - 2015 form reads like a horror story and can be written off 5. TAQUIN DU BELLAY - Been out of the first three for 15 months and unlikely to trouble the judge 6. SALUT DE BELLOUET - Recently stepped up in class with moderate success and should find himself in the mix at the finish 7. SPEED PACHA - Looked a modest sort when racing at this level for the first time and must improve substantially 8. UROS DE L'EXTREME - Impressed when 3rd in Gr.III fortnight ago and should play a key role in this event 9. UGO DES JACQUOTS - Made good progress since re-embarking on ridden vocation and merits a run here with realistic ambitions 10. SAPHIR DU PERCHE - Never made the frame in this code and not about to this time either 11. UCRIN VENESI - Has not demonstrated his ability in ridden races for some time but warrants a measure of respect 12. TARQUIN DU BOIS - Made his ridden debut last autumn but competed with little success in other discipline since. Limited aspirations 13. SODOSIS - Limited experience and limited capacity in ridden competition and not in contention 14. TOMIK A LA BRUYERE - Has been some time since he made any impact at an elevated level and easily passed over 15. TOTO DU MINON - Good aptitude for the discipline but too erratic to inspire confidence 16. UP JULRY - Currently on a good streak and can adapt to any course here. Beaten second in Class A last time and looks the standout in this field 17. ULYSSE DU RAVARY - Accomplished in this code and not without chance of making a mark 18. TOY DES SARTS - Has struggled to find any form since returning from layoff

and needs to confirm Summary The progress (16) UP JULRY has made in recent weeks gives him the edge over most others in this field however (8) UROS DE L'EXTREME made a fine Gr.III debut over course and distance two weeks ago and will be no pushover. (9) UGO DES JACQUOTS has form headed in the right direction and his recent Class B 2nd augurs well for a good performance here. (1) URZO DU CAP VERT made a favourable impression here 9 days ago and the step up looks within his capabilities while (17) ULYSSE DU RAVARY returns to the code with a realistic place chance. Selections (16) UP JULRY - (8) UROS DE L'EXTREME - (9) UGO DES JACQUOTS - (1) URZO DU CAP VERT - (17) ULYSSE DU RAVARY
