15th Colorectal Day
Dear friends and colleagues
It is our pleasure to invite you to join the 15th Colorectal Day at Aarhus University Hospital. The meeting will be held in Aarhus the 7th of June 2016. The aim of the Colorectal Days is to contribute to the continuing development of colorectal surgery. International and national experts will lecture on the most recent advantages within the field of surgery for inflammatory bowel disease, postoperative early nutrition, late organ dysfunction following cancer treatment, and surgery for advanced and recurrent colorectal cancer. Live surgery will also this year be present this year. Robotic mobilization of left colic flexure by Niels Thomassen will be transmitted live to the auditorium. The final session will be a FESTSCHRIFT for consultant surgeon Peter Christian Rasmussen to mark his retirement. We wish to honour his tremendous impact on colorectal cancer surgery. International leading experts (Harm Rutten, Eindhoven, Torbjørn Holm, Stockholm and Vic Verwaal, Aarhus/Eindhoven) will give ’state-ofthe-art’ overviews on surgery for local advanced rectal cancer, surgery for recurrent rectal cancer, cytoreductive surgery and HIPEC. Colorectal Day is organised by The Colorectal Unit, Aarhus University Hospital/County Hospital Randers in collaboration with Section for Colorectal Surgery, Danish Surgical Society. We are looking forward to see you in Aarhus.
