Sound Of The Saints Tapestry & Celebration Singers
Adam Agee & Jared Anderson
I love to hear the song of creation, the wind and the rhythm of the rain, The thunder it speaks of your power, but there’s something in the sound of the saints, From the lips of those you saved, a redemption song will rise, With a sound so full it cracks the sky. Oh, we sing hallelujah, Oh, we sing amen, Hear the sound of the saints as we march on to Zion singing, hallelujah amen! RECEIVING OF NEW MEMBERS Clergy Congregational Covenant All: We, the members of Wayzata Community Church, welcome you with joy into the life and faith of our congregation. After the manner of the historic Congregational Churches, we covenant with you and with God today. We bind ourselves to walk together in all God’s ways, as they are made known to us, through mutual discernment, prayer and God’s word to us. God grant that we may increase in faith and love as we walk together in the way of Jesus. + SONG OF PRAISE :
O For A Thousand Tongues To Sing
Public Domain
O for a thousand tongues to sing, my great Redeemer’s praise, The glories of my God and King, the triumphs of His grace. Glory to God and praise and love, be ever freely giv’n, By saints below and saints above, the Church in earth and heav’n My gracious Master and my God, assist me to proclaim, To spread thru all the earth abroad, the honors of Thy name Jesus the name that calms our fears, that bids our sorrows cease, T’is music in the sinner’s ears, it’s life and joy and peace. He speaks and listening to His voice, new life the dead recieve, The mournful broken hearts rejoice, the humble poor believe. Glory to God and praise and love, be ever freely giv’n, By saints below and saints above, the Church in earth and heav’n.
+ UNISON PRAYER Hilary Flynn Leader: We come to this place to worship God and to renew right spirits within us. In humility and gratitude, let us pray. All: O Holy One, we give You thanks for this day of remembrance and testimony. We give You thanks for all those saints who have completed the journey toward You. With their lives and in their living, they have led the way. O God of life and love, Jesus calls us to live abundantly, to love fully,
to care for one another and to care for this world. Let it be so, that one day we may hear Your commendation, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Amen.

ALL SAINTS DAY REMEMBRANCE
Lindy Purdy
Today we celebrate All Saints Day. On this day, churches around the world glorify God for all God’s saints, known and unknown. Its origin lies in the commemorations of martyrs who died in groups or whose names were unknown. Over time, these celebrations came to include not only martyrs, but all saints. During the Reformation, Protestant churches understood “saints” as in New Testament usage, including all believers, and reinterpreted the feast of All Saints as a celebration of the unity of the entire church. At this time, we remember by name all who were part of this church family and have died since November 1, 2015. Following the reading of each name, a bell will toll. After the final name has been read, there will be three additional chimes, for you to silently bring to mind the names of others who have passed from your life.
