The Gothia Cup + The Dana Cup Soccer Tour Sweden + Denmark 2009 _______________________________________________________ Combine two great tournaments into one great tour! The Gothia Cup soccer tournament officials believe that matches against other countries will broaden the minds of young players. They want every match to be exciting, challenging and an everlasting memory, regardless of the score. In the Gothia Cup, at least 80% of the boys’ matches will be played by teams from different countries. The girls’ football will consist of more countries and will be of higher standard than any other youth tournament in the world. By hosting 60-70 participating countries every year, Gothia Cup will always be the world’s most international tournament. The Dana Cup soccer tournament is approaching it’s 28th year in existence and is presently the largest sporting event being hosted in Denmark with over 2000 games for 800 teams from around 40 different nations. All games are played on excellent grassed fields on one of Northern Europe’s best football arenas. Come and compete in truly wonderful international sporting events!

Day 1: United States ~ Gothenburg, Sweden Saturday July 11th 2009 Depart the United States on a scheduled transatlantic flight to Gothenburg, Sweden.

Day 2: Gothenburg, Sweden – Gothia Cup (Tournament opening Ceremony) Sunday July 12th 2009 Arrive at Gothenburg International airport (over night flight) and then transfer (provided by Gothia Cup personnel) to your accommodation which will be hotel based in Gothenburg and will be based on double room occupancy and includes breakfast each day. Meal cards will be distributed and these will offer lunch and evening each day. Enjoy the free day in Gothenburg by enjoying the city, taking in the atmosphere of the tournament, doing some shopping or taking in a pre-tournament training session.

Gothia Cup Super Cards will also be distributed and these will offer: • Free travel within the city on buses and trams. • Free admittance to most of Gothenburg's leading tourist attractions. • Free entry to the Opening Ceremonies and the Finals at the Ullevi Stadium. • Free admittance to the Liseberg Amusement Park. • Free admittance to Gothia Players’ Corner.

Day 3 - 5: Gothia Cup Tournament – Gothenburg, Sweden (Qualifying games) + Opening Ceremony Monday July 13th – Wednesday July 15th 2009 Today the tournament commences with 1,226 teams competing from over 64 different nations and 5 continents. You will play three group games with the normal format being one game per day. At 8pm on Monday evening the Gothia Opening Ceremony will take place. Previous participants have compared it to an Olympic ceremony and that's the idea. The atmosphere surrounding the opening of the Gothia Cup is electric, enough to make the hairs stand up on the back of your neck. It's a memory you'll smile fondly at for the rest of your life. Once the opening ceremony is over, with dancing, singing and entertainment in front of 40,000 spectators, it's time for the football tournament to kick off.

Coaches reception: On Tuesday night coaches and team leaders will be treated with a show at Scanidnavium (between Liseberg and Ullevi). Food and drinks will be served along with entertainments. The party starts at 19:00 and lasts till 24:00 Food is served until 21:00. Please note that the Gothia Leader Card must be presented at the entrance (these will be supplied by Challenger World Tours). Player Enjoyment: Throughout the course of the week at Odinsgatan next to the GPhouse players can enjoy 16 Bowling lanes, about 50 cool games, big screens, music and competitions. Everything is free. This is open from 15:00-23:00 daily. Also at Heden, take part in various exciting competitions, meet famous football profiles or see wellknown artists on McStage. You may shop at Stadium’s large sport shop or try the Human Football Table game, make your own recording at the Karaoke Studio or try out the new car racing track. At Gothia Heden Center you will also find an Information Tent and Internet Café.

Day 8: 8 Gothia Cup p Tournamentt – (Finals Dayy) Saturdaay July 18th 2009 Today the Finals F commencce. The finalss will be attendded by more then 25,000 peopple. If you are knnocked out at this t stage enjoyy a day at Lisebberg theme parrk or take a tram to t the coast and the archipelaago and even a boat ride to thhe islands (on the t Super card)) or of course stay s and have a day of great soccer s action by waatching the touurnament finalss. In the eveniing enjoy a freee evening in Gothenburg G to do some last minute m shopping orr to take in the sights of this magical m Scandiinavian City.

Day 9: Transfer T to Hjjorring, Denm mark – Dana Cup C Sundaay July 19th 20009

Transfer from Gothenburg to Aalborg International airport in Denmark and then transfer (provided by Dana Cup personnel) to our accommodation in Hjorring which will be Hotel Fyrklit which is based 12 kilometers from Hjorring. The hotel includes, TV, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, table tennis, darts, playroom, sauna, washing area, badminton, basketball, mini golf. Tennis, volleyball and barbeque area. Meal cards will be distributed and these will offer breakfast, lunch and evening each day at the tournament facilities. Enjoy the free day in Hjorring by enjoying the town, taking in the atmosphere of the tournament, doing some shopping or taking in a pre-tournament training session. Dinner will be taken at the hotel followed by a tour meeting and then early departure to bed.

Day 10: Dana Cup Tournament – Hjorring, Denmark (Tournament opening Ceremony) Monday July 20th 2009 Today the tournament commences with 800+ teams competing from over 40 different nations and 5 continents. You will play three group games with the normal format being one game per day. At 7:00pm on Monday evening the Dana Cup collective march into Hjorring stadium commences as the Opening Ceremonies for the tournament. All teams participate and it’s a great fun way to get into the Dana cup feeling. The opening ceremony starts with a walk through Hjorring’s town center, meeting at the stadium where all participants are welcomed. Apart from the hoisting of the flags and the greeting to each country, there are many festive activities to be enjoyed.

Leaders Meeting: On Tuesday night coaches and team leaders will be treated with a wonderful dinner, some great entertainment and you will also receive a free leader t-shirt. Every team will receive 2 free leader cards to attend this event. Extra cards can be purchased. Day 11 - 13: Dana Cup Tournament (Opening Round Games + Group Games) Tuesday July 21st – Thursday July 23rd 2009 Today the first round games begin. All teams play a minimum of 3 games over the course of the week with plenty of opportunities for training sessions in between games as deemed necessary by the teams coaching staff. In between games players and parents can enjoy the amenities offered by the tournament or can enjoy the sights of the area.

Dana Cup Disco: Each evening there is the Dana Cup Disco. This is a great place for the young players. Great entertainment from different DJ’s, fun activities and of course loads of dancing!

Day 14 - 15: Dana Cup Tournament – (Semi Finals and Finals Day) Friday July 24th – Saturday July 25th 2009 Today the Semi Finals and Finals commence. The finals will be attended by more then 25,000 people with prizes and awards for all finalists. Dinner will be served back at the hotel on the Saturday evening followed by the final tour meeting.

Day 16: Return n Flight to Norrth America Sundaay July 26th 20009 Following breakfast, check out and trannsfer to Aalborrg airport for reeturn flight bacck to North Am merica.
