11th annual

Asia Tax Forum 2016 4 & 5 May 2016 | Goodwood Park Hotel, Singapore The 11th Asia Tax Forum, the premier event in the region for taxpayers, officials and practitioners, will be returning to Singapore on May 4 & 5 2016 at the Goodwood Park Hotel. This year is shaping as one of the most significant years ever for international tax. The momentum from the release of the final recommendations of the BEPS Action Plan in September has continued into the next phase of international reform – implementation and the negotiations on the multilateral instrument to change tax treaties to accommodate any changes. The BEPS Action Plan is comprehensive and some topics covered have a direct impact on Asia, such as the introduction of country-by-country reporting, modifications to widely-used thinking on permanent establishment, and headquarters charges and how they should be assessed. The financial services sector has also had the additional task of preparing for the Common Reporting Standard, the global standard for the automatic exchange of tax information, with the jurisdictions known as the early adopters due to start exchanging information from 2017. Taxpayers, officials and advisers will gather in Singapore in May to discuss these and many more issues relevant to corporate tax systems around Asia. It will be an ideal opportunity for tax executives to meet peers and administrators to exchange ideas and to understand and learn about the management of tax in Asia.
