Archery

Mr. Cline, PE teacher at Jody Richards Elementary School, will be coaching the South Warren High School Archery team, open to any SWHS students interested. Students will shoot at Jody Richards Elementary School on Thursday nights starting October 13. There will be an informational meeting (including sign-ups) at Jody Richards Elementary on Monday, September 26 at 6:30pm in the gym. Students MUST ATTEN if interested. Dance Team Meeting

There will be a Dance Team Booster Meeting on Thursday at 4:45p in the auditorium.

Calendar Girl Calendar girl registration packets are now available in the office. Stop by and pick up one today! The entry fee and completed packets are due by September 20th. The annual pageant, hosted by the SWHS cheerleaders, will be held on Sunday, September 25th in the auditorium. Admission is $5. Don't miss out on this exciting event!

KYA

KYA will be having an informational meeting next Friday, September 9th after school with Mr. Taylor in room 266.

Bowling

Those interested in Bowling this year, there will be two open bowling days; Monday, September 12 and Thursday, September 15 from 345-530pm at Southern Lanes on Scottsville. Road. Tryouts will be on September 19, 22, 26 & 29. Must attend all 4 days! Current KHSAA physical must be turned in on first day of tryouts. GT Leadership Any GT leadership student interested in attending the High School Leadership Conference held at WKU on September 30th should see Mrs. Haas or Mrs. Woodward. FCCLA Spirit Night South Warren's FCCLA chapter is having a spirit night at the Pizza Hut on Nashville road Tuesday, September 13th. All students and families are welcome to join. A portion of the sales that night will be donated to our chapter. Please join us to raise money for FCCLA competitions and events!"

PSAT

Sophomores and Juniors can sign up and pay $15 for the optional PSAT test in guidance. This test is not part of our school's accountability. It can help students qualify as a National Merit Finalist. The deadline to sign up is extended to September 22 by 2:30 p.m. The PSAT is October 19, 2016.

Cross Country ROCKS!

Congratulations to the South Warren Cross Country Team for the team’s performance in the Twilight Raider Run Saturday! The girls’ varsity placed 1st overall! (Competed against 11 teams.) The boys’ varsity placed 4th overall. (Competed against 15 teams.) Top Performances - Girls Caroline Haas-2nd/127 Haylee White-4th/127 Isabelle Graves-9th/127 Lucy Knutson-13th/127 Top Performances - Boys Kyle Woodward-4th/158 Matt Winiger-11th/158 The team competes this Saturday, September 3rd in The Wilderness Run in Franklin, Ky.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes will kick off this year's morning meetings on Thursday, September 8th at 7:05 a.m. in the Auditorium! Everyone is welcome to attend!!!! National Honor Society

Invitations were mailed to qualifying juniors and seniors to join our chapter of National Honor Society. Dues this year are $15. Invited students that wish to join should pay Mrs. Sarah White or Mrs. Krista Taylor by September 7th.

Prom Club Prom Club applications are available from Mrs. Delk (rm. 207) and are due by NEXT Friday Sept. 2nd.

SCEC

Join SCEC!!!! SCEC is a club for any student who wants to make a differene in the lives of children with Special Needs. This is a club that promotes social interaction. Club dues are $25 and includes a club tee shirt. See Mrs. Turner in room 22 to sign up. Last day to sign up is Sept 9th.

STLP Anyone interested in joining STLP needs to see Mr. Booth (business classrooms) or Mr. Kessler (room 28) ASAP for more info. Club dues are $5 and you will get info to sign up on Remind. Our first official club meeting is during C Club meeting days, September 30th. However, there is a chance we might have a quick meeting after school before then and it will only be announced through Remind.

Beta Club Invitations to join Beta Club have already been mailed to all qualifying students. If you still have not received a letter and believe that you should have, please stop by Mrs. Ray's room to pick up an invitation. All dues can be turned in to Mrs. Tudor by September 11th either before school, between classes, or after school. Please be sure to join this year's Edmodo group and sign up to receive alerts so that you can be included in all of our club's activities. We already have several volunteer opportunities posted. We look forward to seeing everyone at our first club meeting during homeroom on September 16th.
