STADIUM INFORMATION GUIDE GENERAL:

Westerville South’s Wildcat Stadium has a field turf surface. To assist in preserving our artificial surface and to maintain a safe playing area for all, no sunflower seeds or gum are permitted. Additionally, Westerville City Schools prohibits tobacco use. Please help us keep our stadium field clean by cleaning up any trash at your team camp areas after the event. We request athletes to warm up on the back side of the track and not on the football field. Team camps are not permitted inside the track. Only competing athletes are permitted inside the track in close proximity to their event times. Athletes should not become spectators inside the track.

BUS ACCESS:

Team buses should use the Walnut Street lot for drop off for pick up. Buses should not park in this lot. They should return to the Westerville Square Shopping Plaza on the corner of Schrock Road and State Street for parking. In the case of inclement weather, they should return to lots indicated on the map as C and I as needed.

DIRECTIONS:

From I-270: Take the State Route 3 (State Street) exit from I-270 and head north on Route 3/State Street. Turn right on Walnut Street. Turn right into the Walnut Street parking lot just past the transportation building.

DIRECTIONS:

From the North on Route 3: Head south on Route 3/State Street. Turn left on Walnut Street. Turn right into the Walnut Street parking lot just past the transportation building.

DIRECTIONS:

From State Route 161: Take the Sunbury Road exit and head north on Sunbury Road. Turn left on Walnut Street. Turn left into the Walnut Street parking lot just past the transportation building.

PARKING/GATES: Parking for your activity is identified on the attached map. Additionally, entrance gates will also be marked on that map. TICKET PRICES:

Ticket prices for the Central District Athletic Board events are $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for students. Ticket sales will open one hour before your event.

CONCESSIONS:

Concessions will be offered by the Westerville South Athletic Boosters during all stadium events.

PASSES:

Athletes, managers and statisticians must be in uniform. All coaches and bus drivers are required to be on the CDAB tournament entry pass list and enter at the team entry gate noted on the map. All persons on the pass list should get a hand stamp to go back and forth to the throwing area. School administrators may use their Central District Athletic Board passes to enter the event. If the visiting team is not from the Central District, their assigned district board passes will be sufficient.

PRESSBOX:

No space will be made available in the press box.

TEAM CAMPS:

Team camp areas are marked on the map. If you elect to set up a camp outside the facility, please ensure all coaches and athletes have their hands stamped.

COACHING BOXES: Field event coaches should have access to their athletes. There are benches inside the track for coaches at the long jump, pole vault, and high jump. Each coach is provided a pass inside their packet for these areas. Outside the stadium there is marked space for athletes and coaches at the throwing events. INCLEMENT WEATHER: In the case of inclement weather, teams should return to their buses. If the buses are not available, we will find a safe location for your athletes and coaches. All spectators will need to return to their cars. SPECTATORS:

Westerville South High School does not have one large parking lot. There are actually 10 parking lots for spectator use. We recommend the use of the Walnut Street lot, the Stadium lot and the Commons lot. Spectators arriving after the event has started may have a 5 minute walk to the stadium. Handicap seating is available on both sides of the stadium. Driving directions to Westerville South High School can be found using the address 303 S. Otterbein Avenue, Westerville, OH 43081

RESTROOMS:

Restrooms are located at the main field house on either side of the concession stand and also at the west concession stand. The facilities at the west concession are much larger and newer than the older facilities at the main field house.

ATHLETIC TRAINERS: There will be an Athletic Trainer on site and we will provide coolers of water and ice for injuries. In adherence to State Licensure laws governing athletic training services, our Athletic Trainers will be happy to provide taping for visiting athletes with written individual documentation from your athletic trainer or a physician as to the type of taping necessary. In the event you need these services, please bring the appropriate taping supplies and documentation with you. If your physician or Athletic Trainer would like to contact our head athletic trainer, John Piper, in advance, they can fax any information to his attention at 614-797-6088 or send an email to [email protected]. To contact him by phone, please use 269-352-7645. For emergency services, call 9-1-1 and provide them with school’s address, 303 S. Otterbein Avenue.
