Those wishing to set up a booth at our Shows are encouraged to do so. Please contact the Show Secretary as space is limited. Booths are approximately 10x10 and the fee is $50 per booth/weekend. Requests and fees must be submitted to the show secretary by the closing date of entries.

Tendering an NSF cheque in payment of entry fees shall be considered non-payment of entry fees, and is an offence punishable by disciplinary action and cancellation of awards by the CKC. Our club will report any offence to the CKC. $25 will be charged for NSF cheques or Credit Cards which are declined for any reason. Duplicate entries and overpayments will not be refunded. Incomplete entries will be returned. Entries will not be accepted unless accompanied by proper funds. Telephone entries cannot be accepted.

Camp sites, some with electricity, are available at J.C. Beach (Yorkton City Campground). For more information contact the City of Yorkton at (306) 786-1750. Limited camping space is also available in the show site parking lot on a first come, first serve basis. There will be absolutely NO PARKING allowed on the pavement - camping is permitted only on the gravel portion of the parking lot. Camping at the show site will be No Services, No Reservations, and No Charge. Limited electrical sites are available. Please contact the Gallagher Center Administration Office at (306) 783-4800.

Combination Award

The purpose of this award is to encourage dog show participants to promote their dogs as both conformation and obedience animals. The award will be presented on Saturday, August 20, 2005, after the conclusion of Best in Show judging. It will be awarded to the dog which has competed in both conformation and obedience on that day, and which has received the highest number of points. Trial #1 & Show #3 will be used for this award. POINTS ARE TO BE CALCULATED AS FOLLOWS Obedience Highest score obtained in an obedience class, with the provision that the dog must receive at least a qualifying score. Maximum 200 points. Conformation Highest level attained based on the following (only the highest level of points will apply; if dog places in Group, then its lower breed points will not be counted). Best in Show (Best Puppy) ............ 50 points Group 4th ......................................25 points Group 1st ....................................... 40 points BOB or variety .............................. 15 points Group 2nd ...................................... 35 points Any other breed placing (puupy) .... 5 points Group 3rd ....................................... 30 points Maximum of 50 points In the event of a tie, the cash will be divided equally.

Breeder/Owner/Handler Award

The purpose of this award is to promote the exhibitioin of dogs which are Breeder/Owner Handled. This award applies to both conformation and obedience entries, in each conformation show and/or obedience trial. It will be awarded to the entry(s) receiving the highest number of points, based on Group Level/Obedience Class Wins (or higher). To be eligible, the person handling the dog to its win must be the owner/co-owner and breeder/co-breeder of the dog. It is the responsibility of the handler to identify themselves to the show secretary as being a breeder/owner/handler. The winners will be announced after Best in Show judging each day. POINTS ARE CALCULATED AS FOLLOWS: BIS/BPIS/HIT ......................... 50 points Group 3rd ............... 20 points Group 1st/BPG/ High in class 40 points Group 4th ............... 10 points Group 2nd .............................. 30 points Only the highest level of points will apply; if a dog placed High in Trial, then its lower class points will not be counted. NOTICE TO ALL FOREIGN EXHIBITORS: Event registration number (ERN) application forms are availabe at the CKC website: www.ckc.ca An ERN must be obtained within 30 days of obtaining points, awards, or scores to avoid cancellation. If factors beyond your control prohibit this or present a problem, please send a written request for a 30-day extension. To obtain and ERN, simply mail or fax: A copy of the Registration Certifcicate must accompany the ERN application. In the case of Australian Shepherd, the ASCA accepted only. Fee: $53.50 for each dog, payable by Visa, Mastercard, money order, or certified cheque. Payment in full to be made in Canadian dollars and payable to The Canadian Kennel Club. Discounted cheques in US dollars will not be accepted. Faxed requests will be accepted. Please ensure that credit card information and signature is legible. Phone (416)675-5511 Fax (416) 675-6506 PERFORMANCE EVENT NUMBER (PEN) A PEN allows an unregisterable dog of a CKC recognized breed to participate in competive events that are appropriate for the breed. Those events are: Obedience Trials, Tracking Tests, Herding Trials, Draft Dog Tests, Agility, Lure Coursing, Earthdog Tests, Hunt Tests, Working Certificate Tests and Pointing Dog Tests. For information or to apply, contact the CKC, Shows and Trials Div., or visit their website. INFORMATION AND REGULATIONS 1. A judge officiating at a show shall not be subjected to indignities of any kind during the process of the show. 2. It is the exhibitor’s responsibility to be familiar with CKC rules and regulations. Rule books are available from the CKC order desk at 1-800-250-8040. Books are $6.42, tax incl. 3. The Show Building will open 6am, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. 4. The Shamrock Kennel & Obedience Club will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability, in the event of an accident, or other misfortune to dogs, exhibitors, or patrons. There will be NO night watchman on duty. 5. Entries must be typed or clearly printed. Owners are responsible for errors on entry forms. 6. Obedience entry fees will be refunded to exhibitors whose bitches are in season during the Trials and must be withdrawn, IF a) a dated veterinarian’s certificate is produced prior to the Trial, or b) the bitch is on hand for inspection in the Show Building prior to the Trial. 7. Any dog which has earned its CD or CDX title in the USA is not eligible for entry in the Novice “A” or Open “A” class in Canada. Such dogs must be entered in the “B” classes respectively. 8. Only dogs entered in the Show and Trial are allowed in the show building. 9. The Show Superintendent will be in full charge of the Show. 10. ALL DOGS MUST BE KEPT UNDER COMPLETE CONTROL AT ALL TIMES. 11. If, because of riot, civil disturbance, or other acts beyond the control of the management, it is impossible to open or complete the Show, no refund of entry fees will be made. 12. THERE WILL BE NO SMOKING IN READY RINGS. 13. The Shamrock Kennel and Obedience CLub will not be responsible for any contracts made between the photographer and exhibitors. 14. Exhibitors are RESPONSIBLE for cleaning up after their dogs both INSIDE and OUTSIDE the Show Building. As well, the City of Yorkton BYLAW states that all dogs must be LEASHED within the City LImits.
