NO PRACTICING ALLOWED IN RINGS AT ANY TIME. Dogs May Arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused. Judges Will Not Wait for Any Dog Holding Up a Class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. All Dogs Present must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the exercising ring. No gasoline or diesel generators are permitted inside any building or within 100 feet of any tent in which this dog show is conducted. As specified in Chapter 12, Section 4 of the AKC Rules Applying to Dog Shows, information contained on the entry form is required to be published in the club’s show catalog. This information is also subject to publication in other media. Entry Fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by action of the event's Show Committee. If because of riots, wars, strikes, civil disturbances, national emergencies, health emergencies, and the dictates of law enforcement or of the owner(s) of the grounds and/or facilities or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open or to complete the show, no refund of entry fee will be made. Extreme weather conditions, such as, but not limited to, snow storms, hurricanes, lightning, extreme heat, heavy rains, or other circumstances including, but not limited to, the condition of the facilities or grounds and/or the ingress and egress from the grounds, must be considered for the health and safety of the dogs, exhibitors and spectators. The well-being of dogs, exhibitors and spectators is of paramount importance and, in the event it is necessary to cancel or stop the show before completion, no refund of entry fee will be made.

AKC Sanctioned 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy Competition One combined class will be offered for breeds and varieties of dogs that are (4) four months & under (6) six months and divided into Groups as described in Chapter 3, Section 1 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows and the Miscellaneous Class breeds as listed in Chapter 3, Section 23. There will be a selection of Best 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy in each Breed/Variety, each Best 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy in Breed/Variety winner will then compete in their respective group for First through Fourth Placements. The Miscellaneous Class Competition will be judged same as above followed by a Miscellaneous 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy Group Competition. The Foundation Stock Service Class Competition will be judged same as above followed by a FSS 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy Group Competition. All First Place Group Winners will be eligible to compete in Best 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy in Show. An AKC registration number or AKC litter number will be required for entries of an AKC recognized breed or Miscellaneous breed. FSS number or FSS registered litter number will be required for FSS entries. A foreign born dog may enter this class if they are registered in the country of origin. Dogs are required to be vaccinated (including rabies) in accordance with their veterinarian's protocol in order to avoid inadvertent transmission of illness by/to puppies not yet fully immunized. Professional handlers are not permitted to exhibit in this class. Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers' organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves as handling dogs for pay. AKC Rules in Dealing with Misconduct will be applicable to any person and dog entered at this competition. All applicable rules found in Rules Applying to Dog Shows will govern the conduct of this competition unless these regulations state otherwise. Exhibitors should plan on opening the mouth of their puppy for the judges. Breed standard disqualifications such as color, height, weight or dentition shall not be a point of consideration in the judging process for this 4 & Under 6 Months Puppy in Show Competition. NO PUPPIES UNDER THE AGE OF SIX (6) MONTHS, EXCEPT THOSE PARTICIPATING IN THE 4-6 MONTH PUPPY COMPETITION, MAY BE ON THE GROUNDS.

Ramps at the sole discretion of the judge, approved breeds may be judged on the ground or on a ramp: Boykin Spaniels, Clumber Spaniels, Field Spaniels, Sussex Spaniels, Welsh Springer Spaniels, Whippets, Irish Terriers, Kerry Blue Terriers, Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Chinese Shar-Pei, Chow Chows, Keeshonden & Polish Lowland Sheepdogs. (Boykin Spaniels & Whippets may be judged on the table, ramp or on the ground.) Basset Hounds & Bulldogs are expected to be judged on the ramp during breed judging. This list may be revised from time to time, and the current list can be found on the AKC website in Judging Operations. A judge requesting the use of a ramp must give reasonable notice to the Show Superintendent/ Show Secretary prior to the day of the show. AKC approval is not required. Ramps may be used in emergency situations to judge any breed. (In all but emergency situations, the exhibitor has no recourse. In an emergency situation, where use of a ramp is not indicated in the premium list, an exhibitor has the option of withdrawing their entry and receiving a refund.)

NOTICE JUNIORS WITH A DOG ALSO ENTERED IN ANOTHER CLASS OFFERED AT THIS SHOW WHO SUBSTITUTE A DOG NOT ENTERED IN THIS SHOW MUST REMIT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP ONLY AND JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP AS AN ADDITIONAL CLASS ENTRY FEE. JUNIORS WHO HAVE ENTERED JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP ONLY WHOTHEN SUBSTITUTE ANOTHER DOG WILL NOT BE CHARGED A FURTHER FEE.

Attention Note: Several motels in the area are refusing to accept dogs. It is up to all exhibitors to respect the motel property, not to let their dogs destroy or foul rooms, not to let them foul shrubbery and lawns. Unless dog owners do observe their responsibilities, they may shortly find themselves barred everywhere in America. Exhibitors are admonished to make themselves familiar with the rules of the AKC and with the agreement on the reverse side of the entry blanks that accompany the premium list. The Superintendent or Club will not be responsible for the loss of or damage to any dog exhibited whether the result of accident or other causes. It is distinctly understood that every dog at these events is in the care and custody and control of his owner or handler during the entire time the dog is on the show premises. EXHIBITORS and HANDLERS will be held responsible for clean conditions in and around their crates. The welfare of an exhibitor’s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children each day of the events.

Limited Parking by Reservations Only OVERNIGHT PARKING AREA PARKING INFORMATION Overnight Parking Area - Enter Racetrack Entrance and follow signs. Will open at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday and close at 10:00 P.M. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday. It will reopen at 6:00 A.M. Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Overnight parking for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday night is available by advance reservation or at the gate if space is available. No Overnight Sunday Parking. There will be no electrical or water hookups. All vehicles must be self-contained and waste water may not be emptied on the ground or into a bucket. After 10:00 P.M. there will be no generators and no barking dogs. ADVANCE RESERVATION - Fee $45.00 per night per vehicle. NO CONFIRMATION WILL BE MAILED. PROVIDE E-MAIL ADDRESS FOR CONFIRMATION. HANDICAPPED PARKING - Overnight reservations must be in by March 27, 2013. Vehicles must have Handicapped License Plate. NO AT THE GATE UNRESERVED HANDICAP SPACES WILL BE AVAILABLE. AT THE GATE - Fee $50.00 per vehicle per night. Reservations for overnight parking will not be accepted after March 27, 2013. Cancellations, refunds or changes not permitted after March 27, 2013. Exhibitors wishing to park together must mail reservations together in the same envelope. HUGE GROOMING AREA AT SOUTH END Exhibitors need only bring their dogs to the event in ample time before the scheduled time of judging. Exhibitors and their dogs will be excused from the event after the judging of breed(s) in which their dogs are entered. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused.

Loading Zone for your Convenience An Unloading Zone will be established Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. You may unload your dogs and equipment, then proceed to park your car in parking areas. There will be no parking allowed in the Unloading Zone. Exhibitors and agents will be held responsible for clean conditions in and around their crates both during and after the events. All parking is at your own risk; the club and its management assumes no responsibility for fire, theft and/or loss or damage to any rig or its cargo. SKC and Cal Expo reserve the right to withdraw this privilege from any person who feels he cannot abide by the rules and instructions or resorts to abusive language and other tactics. All parking lots are operated and controlled by the State of California. No Overnight Sunday Parking.
