Design and manufacture

From innovative ideas to problem solving.

Engineering Computer - aided design (CAD) and other sophisticated engineering tools are available to our engineering team to assist them with dimension calculations and system design. It is standard practise for us to use 2 - D and 3 - D CAD, together with state - of - the art computation of fluid dynamics (CFD). This, along with our own specialist knowledge, assures development of the optimal solution. Manufacturing The most up - to - date CNC milling and boring machines are used in support of more conventional systems. This is all controlled by computer with our EDP, EPS, and PPS systems. These processes are quality monitored, and prior to delivery every filter is checked and pressure - tested in our own test facility.

The F118 range are manufactured in high quality cast and used in many industrial applications.

SAB flexibility is our strong point The SAB ranges of duplex filters include F101 and F311 cast filters as well as F605, F625, F705 and F725 welded versions. These filters are used for special industrial applications. Inlet and outlet connections can be configured to meet on - site requirements, and are used in applications for either liquids or gases.

The SAB welded steel range can be customised to meet the special requirements for applications in both the chemical and petrochemical industries.

Self - cleaning filters for continuous operation From the early 1960s, SAB has been in the forefront of automatic self - cleaning filter solutions. With F400 / F440 filters and its scraper - type F430 models, SAB has met the cost - effectiveness challenge. This process has further led to development of the F450 fully automated self - cleaning filter, which operates at pressures as low as 0.6 bar.

The self - cleaning F480 Multi Filter: new headliner, new standard Outstanding performance with compact dimensions: our brand - new F480 Multi Filter reached the lead position immediately. With maximum flow of up to 45,000 m³ / h, nominal dimension of DN 2000, fully automatic control, and great availability under continuous operation, it is one step ahead of all other automatic filters. It is completely controlled, thanks to its remote concept for monitoring of state. All of this – with a compact footprint – means additional space savings, greater reliability, and reduced maintenance. Superior F480 quality is backed up by a verifiable track record.

Sieves – also for use with third - party equipment Of crucial importance in our business is production of our sieves in our own plant – which makes the decisive difference between our filters and others. In our sieve shop, we manufacture every sieve precisely according to the pertinent drawings. We therefore enable applications with virtually all third - party equipment at our own high levels of quality. We make good use of our long decades of experience here as well, and our extensive stocks of material are essential here: stainless steel perforated plates, stainless steel mesh, and special materials such as Hastelloy / C4, bronze, titanium, or even Monel®.
