Efficiency without compromise The all new energy engines revolutionise current standards. using innovative technology and our motor racing know how, Renault Clio is both fun to drive and leads the way in lowering fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Stop & Start Automatically turns off the engine when the Renault Clio is stopped and in neutral, cutting down on emissions, fuel consumption and noise. Restarts instantly, smoothly and without vibrations. (Available on all manual engines excluding 1.2 16V 75). Energy Smart Management (ESM) By recovering kinetic energy when braking and decelerating, ESM optimises the consumption of electrical energy and helps recharge the battery. Active Air Shutters Automatically adjust the flow of air through the radiator to the engine’s cooling requirements, improving the vehicle’s aerodynamics and fuel consumption. ECO mode To reduce fuel consumption even further, the driver can select ECO mode, which modifies the vehicle’s acceleration, torque / power management and heating / air-conditioning (excluding 1.2 16V 75). Overboost* Innovative Overboost technology provides the ENERGY TCe 90 Stop & Start engine with increased levels of acceleration. With temporary additional torque and power, the Overboost allows more responsive starts from take-off and improved acceleration at wide open throttle. This improves both driving pleasure and confidence; facilitating exits at crossroads, merging from entry slip roads and overtaking.

*The Overboost is available on ENERGY TCe 90 Stop & Start engines. Not available on ENERGY TCe 90 Stop & Start ECO versions.

Safety for all Renault’s vision is to provide its customers and their loved ones with advanced and efficient safety technology as standard.

Protection Reinforced structure, high-efficiency front airbags, head/thorax side airbags, pressure sensor to detect impact, 3-point seatbelts with pretensioners and load limiter (front seats), anti-whiplash head restraints, load limiter function (rear seat), luggage restraint partition, anti-submarining front and rear seats (Fix4sure). 2 ISOFIX three-point seat attachments (rear side seats). The bonnet is also designed for the best possible handling in case of impact with a pedestrian.

Seatbelt Reminder (SBR) An audible and visual signal ensures maximum safety for all passengers.

Electronic Stability Control (ESC) With ASR traction control system and CSV understeer keep your Clio on the road in difficult road conditions.

Hill Start Assist (HSA) When starting the vehicle on a hill, the brake pressure is automatically maintained for two seconds, giving the driver time to manoeuvre.
