Join us on a Roadventure When we created Podia it was never about who could go faster or the lightest bikes around, it was about going out, exploring new places and experiencing something different with great riding companions.

The Home of Podia Tatra Mountains, Poland & Slovakia 21st - 25th September 2016 We have spent a lot of time exploring the roads around the Tatra Mountains, you could even say it is our 'home turf '. Not only was the first Podia film 'Life, Death and the Art of Cycling' filmed here, but the very foundations of the Podia blog began by making ‘New Roads’ articles discovering the region. The Tatras form part of the Carpathian Mountain range that runs through much of Eastern Europe and make the perfect place to explore by bike. Our routes have been carefully selected to show you some of the many highlights of the area. Our ride guides are eager to share with you the rich history of the region as well as the cycling scene of this part of Europe.

Wednesday 21st September – Arrival Day You will be collected from Kraków airport and transferred to our mountain base. Once bikes have been prepared a short ride in the local area will help stretch the legs after the travelling and meet the other people in the group. Dinner will follow at the base. Thursday 22nd September - Day 2 The first full day in the mountains will bring a favourite ride of ours. It has featured in Podia articles and the first Podia film. Crossing into Slovakia, the loop will cover around 120km and 1800m elevation. The day will be supported with ride food and drink and will finish with a traditional Polish dinner back at the base. Friday 23rd September - Day 3 The second day in the mountains and a chance to explore some of the roads around the Pieniny National Park as they wrap around the Dunajec River. Our support vehicle will be on call, ready to supply ride food and drink when needed. An evening meal will be served at a special location where a metal sculptor has spent the last decade working on every detail of the restaurants décor.

Saturday 24th September - Day 4 The final day brings the chance to visit the high mountains on the Slovakian side of the Tatra range. The difficulty of the ride can be tailored to each member of the group by transferring to and from locations by vehicle. To celebrate four days of riding we will finish the day with a traditional BBQ feast during which you will have a chance to fill up on local food and drinks. Sunday 25th September – Departure day Transfer back to Kraków airport. For those of you interested in an afternoon in the medieval centre of the city, this can be arranged.
