Ha-jime

Ju-jitsu Federation of Slovenia is organising summer camps with international attendance since 1994 and has hosted trainers from Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Croatia, Macedonia and other countries. We would like to present our proposal for the camp which would take place from 30th June till 1th July 2013 in Rogla. Why so soon in the summer? Our programme was always diversified to meet needs of recreational athletes, martial arts enthusiasts as well as competitors. This date gives opportunity to national teams to join the seminar before World Games, which start at the end of July. Later in August there are many national summer camps around Europe.

3. Venue – Rogla, Slovenia After intensive involvement of Slovenian Ju-jitsu Federation in international activates, we believe it unnecessary to again introduce our country. Thus, we will only make short description of Rogla Resort.

Unnecessary remarks

Rogla Sports Centre, situated at 1,517 m above sea level, is a popular destination for the preparation of sportsmen and women, not only in winter time, but also in the summer. 4. Programme The summer camp programme will cover two main topics: -

Ju-jitsu as popular sport (self-defence, technical skills, weapons training, other martial arts) Competition sport (fighting, ne-waza, duo-system).

Ippon

Slovenian Federation has proven in the last 14 years that it is possible to bring together top athletes and all other ju-jutsuka to carry out diversified programme for both groups. We have a tradition of hosting well recognized trainers as Rob Haans (SWE), Ignac Hizman (AUT), Joe Thumfart (GER), Uwe Claussen (GER), Michel van Rijt (NED), Bernd Thomson (GER) and top Slovenian trainers from many different martial arts (e.g. judo, TKW, karate, BJJ, aikido). Summer camp is more than just training. It is perfect opportunity to hold workshops and discussions on topics like competition training, modern self-defence, marketing in ju-jitsu, sports nutrition, antidoping, ju-jitsu ethics, open panel discussion. These can be organised in agreement with JJEU committees and proposals of the participants. The resort has necessary conference facilities to host such events.

Wednesday afternoon is free of trainings and we will organise a sightseeing tour or visit to Spa and Wellness Zreče.

The discussions can be finished only after the Board confirms Slovenian Ju-jitsu Federation as the organiser of Ju-jitsu Summer Camp 2013. We are giving first approximations of the prices.
