The Sommerakademie in Radolfzell has become more and more wellknown and popular during the last nineteen years. The reason is the increase of different nations among the students on one hand – 2012 the Sommerakademie has had students from seven countries –, the propaganda by word of mouth by the students and last but not least the high reputation of the professsors; on the other hand there is the beautiful landscape of Radolfzell at the shores of the Lake of Constance, the historical town city and the special atmosphere while the Sommerakademie lasts. The students agree to participating in the program „Public performance in the historical part of the city“ in the evenings. The idea is to integrate the audience in the work of the masterclasses and, furthermore, to extend the concert experience of the students. It is not easy to performe open air with all noises around. The „frame“ for the masterclasses is the Musikschule Radolfzell with its various possibilities to work and practice, the concert places in town and the accommodation. Most of the former students preferred the rooms of standard III, but there are singleand double-rooms in a nearby hotel available as well as guest-apartments.
