Day 1 – Kensington Place, Cape Town On arrival in Cape Town, your Hills of Africa Travel representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Just outside Cape Town proper, in Higgovale, a quiet enclave overlooking the city from the foothills of Table Mountain, Kensington Place is about as intimate as they come — just eight suites, in a magazine-ready contemporary-luxe style, with all the bells and whistles, including sprawling king beds and decadent bathrooms complete with custom-made tubs and heated marble floors. It’s an owner-operated hotel, which only adds to the intimacy of the place. DAY 3 – Kensington Place, Cape Town Today, your Hills of Africa Travel private guide will collect you from Kensington Place and take you on a full day private guided tour of the Cape Peninsula. DAY 4 – Kenisngton Place, Cape Town Today, your Hills of Africa Travel private guide will collect you and take you on a full day, private guided tour of the Cape Winelands. DAY 5 – Tintswalo Safari Lodge, Kruger National Park This morning, your Hills of Africa Travel guide will transfer you to the Cape Town airport for your flight to Johannesburg. Upon arrival in Johannesburg, you will need to check in for your flight to Hoedspruit. On arrival at Hoedspruit you will be met by a guide from Tintswalo and transferred to camp. Tintswalo is an exclusive safari lodge, located along a seasonal river bed in the private Manyeleti Reserve, within the Greater Kruger National Park. Tintswalo Main Lodge overlooks a waterhole frequented by elephant and other big game. The well appointed, air conditioned Tintswalo Explorer Suites are linked to the main lodge by raised walkways. Luxuries at the Explorer Suites include private outdoor showers, decks and plunge pools. The Baines Presidential Suite has two full suites joined by a spacious living area and open plan kitchen. One of the attractions of the Manyeleti Game Reserve is that there is minimal vehicle traffic. All of the Big Five may be spotted on your daily game drives and walking safaris in the Manyeleti. Star gazing, birding and cultural activities add to the adventure at Tintswalo. Like many of the lodges in Sabi Sand, Djuma actually comprises three separate camps, including Galago, a self-catering single unit lodge, and Bush Lodge, but it is Vuyatela, the flagship, which is really worth considering. Vuyatela is the youngest of the properties and the more exciting option design-wise.
